The anniversary of the insurrection is Thursday, I wonder if there will be any type of march or protest.

It's nice to have a reasonable, sane, politician in the Oval Office again. A grown up, brave mature, thoughtful, person. A guy who speaks instead of shouting and smirking. A guy who actually has something to say in a calm and steady manner.
A real politician. Not a carnival barker. Thank you, President Biden!

I am shaking in my boots for the mid-terms. I hope something more gets passed while the dems have this shakey (Manchin and Sinema (sp?) majority in Congress.

I know how you feel. Sometimes I think those two are plants. It troubles me to say this but Republicans, for the most part, stick together.

We can sue if we have a talking filibuster and they have to talk about voting rights that they already voted before some in 2006/ Why are they not needed now if they thought they were needed then. MccConnel himself voting to reauthorize the voting rights act.

MccConnel himself voting to reauthorize the voting rights act. What's considered Kosher depends on who is in power. Democrats were the first to use the "nuclear option" as far as the filibuster goes, back in 2013. (Because GOP was blocking all of Obama's appointees.) Both sides tend to consider the end justifying the means, but the Republicans take it way too far IMO.

I am desolate about us passing voting reform but I want to hear from everyone who is against it for history's sake. 16 Republicans either in house or Senate voted for voting act and reauthorized it in 2006. I want to hear why they are against it now.
