I think WW is really missing out on a huge customer potential by not having a daily tally of macros as part of the app. (It might be there, I may have missed it, I use the desktop mostly). I really do think a lot of people would benefit from that info, especially if they added a bunch of "zero point" foods. When I scan something or track and it's not something I eat often I always look at the nutrition info. When I track fruit I usually put my bowl on the scale and put in the berries, pineapple or what ever and enter the grams to track. Even though it's 0 points it still gives me the calories and other macros. I know that 2 pineapple slices is about 50 calories so I don't need to look since that's pretty much what my serving size is most of the time. But daily totals would be nice for people that care about it.

Before I joined Healthi (formerly iTrackBites) I either did calorie counting on MFP or a combo of MFP and WW. IIRC I started double-tracking when Freestyle came on the scene because I was all over the place, calorically, with that plan. Weight Watchers had been my go-to for decades and I wanted to stay with it, even though I never really could make it work with Freestyle. With the Green Plan I had a bit of success but I finally let my WW membership go with Personal Points. Did I really give PP a chance to work for me? No, I didn't. At the time it came out I had already put the Green Plan aside and was doing well with iTrackBites so really, why spend the money for something that, at first glance for me, appeared to be Freestyle on steroids?
With the Healthi Pro version I can do a "points" plan (I chose Conquer Cravings) and also chose a secondary metric of counting calories. All in one place, both metrics visible as I track. The points correlate well with caloric values so it all makes sense to me. There is no way to game the system, it is what it is. As time goes by, points (aka bites) are less important to me and I now tend to pay more attention to my calorie counts, simply because they feel more solid to me---pure simple clean science. When I hit my calorie limit, that's it. I eat my veggies because they are filling and good for me, not because I will be tossed more food if I scarf down a head of cauliflower. Same with activity---I never used activity points to gain food points with WW and see no reason to start doing it now.
Counting calories grounds me, whatever secondary plan I choose to do. I do remember the Weight Watchers exchange plans where you were allowed a certain number of items from specific food groups and when you had checked off those boxes you were done. No fancy dancing and if you stuck to the program you lost weight. Calorie and nutrition based, simple and pure. Not easy and no, you definitely could NOT "eat whatever you want!" nor was there any bargaining possible. I remember making my own ketchup, cottage cheese with cinnamon and artificial sweetener on toast as a faux-Danish for breakfast. I did well with that kind of plan, full of restrictions and clearly defined. No calorie counting for me in those days.

jbird, Good luck with counting carbs. In MFP you can track carbs on the free plan. I think it might also be available with Lose It. I don't know if I'm remembering correctly but I think Mike used Lose It paid service.

jbird, check out MyNetDiary. MyNetDiary will let you specifically track net carbs. Go to Nutrient Targets, then Common, then Net Carbs. bbbearsmom, Mike used MyNetDiary as it has many diabetic tools

I used to double track but I just don't have time anymore. I just track points. I am still under goal although not as much as I used to be so I'm going with that.
