No Excuses
* This is a daily thread for those who want to live by the philosophy that you CAN be ON PLAN EVERY DAY, whether you are doing SFT or counting points for ALL foods! * You aren't doing this to brag; you are doing it for YOU! Because YOU are WORTH IT and because WW has made this totally DOABLE! * WW gives you a lot of freedom and a LOT of options that make it quite possible to live this lifestyle EVERY DAY. * You know that this philosophy keeps you on the straight and narrow. If you give yourself an excuse to go off plan today, there will ALWAYS be another excuse tomorrow. * SO, there are NO EXCUSES!!! * This is your LIFESTYLE and it is a lifestyle you enjoy and you live it daily. * Hopefully your participation here will not only inspire YOU but will inspire OTHERS too! YES, you CAN!

122. To keep vegetables fresh and nutritious, wrap them in paper towels and store them in unsealed plastic bags in the refrigerator. There are also specially designed bags for produce that allow excess moisture to escape. Donโt wash veggies before storingโthat only adds moisture and thus hastens spoilage.

I have heard about the special bags for produce but never seen them...hmm...
You asked about smoking here. They made a law against it in public places BUT people still smoke. I remember moving here and in nursing and public health meetings at the American University of Beirut the new Dean of Health told the teachers they could not smoke - they were aghast. One time a friend of mine was told that the fan she set up on her table to blow the cigarette smoke away from her and back at the smoker was bothering him - the smoker - she just smiled and left it on. People smoke a lot here but are somewhat better than they used to be. People expect to be able to smoke in your home, too, and at one time cigarettes were out on the coffee table for guests...

I don't use anything special for produce and find it's hit or miss. Sometimes items last a nice while and other times they're dead before my recipe! If it's organic there's way less time to use it. I find that if I just go to the store more often it's not as much of an issue. I shop for a specific recipe I'm planning but if there's a change then I might be stuck and it's a while before I figure out what to do with the produce. I need to be better with this since it's such a shame to waste.

Always an issue. I have some bags I should use more. Never thought about paper towels.
