Ah! ! lost my post!
Gs, are you still in exam mode? That's too bad about the gym and the student losing her job. Pilates could be cool.
Ct, That's great about bootcamp and that they allow up to 2 months break. That kid is both mean and erroneous. Who would say such a thing to an adult! Pfft! Are some kids nice or neutral and say nice or neutral things, like thank you. It would be nice to read about some of them, even if hey are a small faction. I once had a school i disliked. In one class 28 students were fine or good and 2 were jerks and i noticed myself giving disproportional amount of though to the jerks. Sometimes now when a kid is a jerk i just don't focus at all on the student and just go on focusing on the normal ones.
I have a tricky school thing. It's too long to explain, but it a serious pain and very time-consuming. It puts me in a bad state. I also need to furnish 100 pages by the end of may or I will have serious issues. I feel things are not great. I'm not thrilled about the political situation here, either.
Weight is OK, just a few pounds above my goal, as usual, so that's something. I'm dragging for WO. It's midday and i haven't budged. It's a public holiday here.
How are you guys today?

Hi, Z. I'm surviving boot camp. The owner's suggestion on diet right now is to replace the afternoon snacking I do with a protein drink. On the fence about how I feel about that, but I need to try something. Weather decent, but lots of rain. Fuzzy kitty wanted to sit on the screened-in porch so badly today that she started pawing on the door instead of just sitting by it. School is...school. Has its ups and downs. The political situation here has me terrified. One historian is actually predicting that Drumpf will stage a coup and try to overthrow our democracy. Not sure how valid that is, but he definitely has the ego and personality for it.
Looking forward to having someone turn over the gardens so I can plant stuff. Ideas for flowering perennials that do well in partial shade and look good for most of the summer?

Ct well, why not try something new and see how it goes. But does T have the intelligence and support for that? I doubt it. He seems a bit senile to me. And doesn't a coup d'รฉtat overthrow the current leader? Since T is the leader, he wouldn't overthrow the power. but maybe instill martial law, or something along those lines.
Sorry have no garden, so no gardening ideas.
i'm knackered so i'll lay low this evening.

Hi, Z. I need to get the sample from her, but I'll try the protein drink at least once. It's whey-based (boo), but she said other lactose intolerant people can tolerate it okay. As far as the coup, I think he meant that he'll ignore Congress (mostly he does already), do whatever he wants based on his ridiculous beliefs and facts, and refuse to give up the position when it's time. Of course, odds are up to 50% that he can't complete the term. Either way, it's unsettling.
Lots of rain this week, so the grass is actually green. Takes us out of the bad drought situation, but can it last thru the summer?

Hi, ladies, these past couple of weeks have been a blur with grading, commencement, and other things I am working on. Zee, I hope the writing works out for you. I am teaching two online courses this summer and have an undergrad researcher.
We are having problems with our stove. Our two left burners stopped working the other day, including the large burner which we use the most. Our stove is electric induction, so it's not that common. I am hoping we can get a Samsung repair person out here for an estimate. We bought this as a floor model 7 years ago, so it is not under warranty anymore. The extended warranty was 5 years. Hoping it can be fixed, or else we will be looking for a new stove. We cook pretty much every day, so not having the large burner is a problem. DH made pancakes on the medium burner and they turned out a little messy but still edible.
Hope I can get in that Pilates reformer training this week. It was a beautiful day for Mother's Day, and we had MIL over for breakfast and lunch. We watched HGTV and I helped her buy some airline tickets to visit grandma and to apply for the TSA precheck.
Hang in there. The T presidency is exhausting and scary. Just hoping people who can do something about it get some reality. At least in France, people had some sense.
Dinner is ready. DH grilled burgers earlier this afternoon.
