This is a monthly thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose. The definition of “a lot” is something that is determined personally, so everyone who feels they have a lot of weight to lose is welcome to post here.
Please join us in offering support, checking in for accountability, help with questions, etc. We’re in this for the long haul.
We’d also love to hear from those of you who are maintaining a large loss. We need those tips to help us to keep the weight off once we lose it.

Hello sunrose - I hope your knees and back are feeling better today time4me - You are welcome to join our group The thread has been a bit slow since some of us are struggling, but I've always received great support here and hopefully you will too. I'm doing alright, eating pretty well, but still not exercising and trying to get back doing that. Hope everyone else is well. Have a great weekend!

Knees feel better. Walked slowly on the treadmill yesterday.
Scale is up ugh. Need to work on my eating.

Hi sunrose - I'm glad to hear your knees are feeling better and you were able to walk on the treadmill. I wish you luck with the eating, it's so tough isn't it? I have junk food in my house that I've been eating from each day. I'm hoping the fruits, vegetables and dairy are countering the junk Seriously though, I just wish there was one way that would work for me forever, and that I could stick with it. I'm so tired of all the re-starts

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well I overate yesterday and it really made me feel a bit sick. I don't do that very much anymore, so I need to remember not to do it all I'm hoping to get motivated to eat better this week, and be active. Hope you'll check in when you can. Take care

Cj59, I feel sick when I over eat too.
My neighbor across the street from me brought cookies over last night. She loves to bake and she actually used to have her own business. I’m not sure what that all entails but she makes the best muffins. She’s tiny and I’m huge. I’ve got to find a way to not eat what she brings over. she means well but I need to quickly stick them in the freezer or something when she brings them over. I think she does it because I let her dog out occasionally to go to the bathroom

Hi sunrose - Hope you are doing well today. When I've been really trying to stay on my plan and someone gives me food, I'm sorry to say that I just throw it out. I know that's wasteful, but I can't figure out any polite way to not accept it. I try to discourage family/friends from giving me food as gifts. You'd think they all know how many problems/issues I have with food I guess if you were really close to the person you could tell them that you try to not to eat those foods and some people would understand, I'm sure. But freezing them is a good idea too I'm feeling so discouraged. I worked so hard for about 10 months last year to lose weight and then the last several months I'm just eating it back on I sure wish I could get to a weight I can maintain and stop the gain/lose/gain cycle. Hope everyone else is doing well and that you all have a good weekend

Cj59, I am doing the same cycle as you it’s a constant battle. I wouldn’t feel comfortable saying something to my neighbor about the muffins and cookies. But other people that I’m friends with I do. You would think looking at me you would know I don’t need that crap. Waving to all.
I am in so much pain with my knees and lower back I went to the doctor yesterday and got a muscle relaxer so I’m between icing the knees and heat on the back. The woes of getting older lol

Hi sunrose - I'm sorry to hear about the pain you are dealing with. I hope the muscle relaxer helps Take care of yourself. I've about given up on trying to stay on any kind of plan right now. I'm having a few health issues myself and I just don't have the mental energy to put into it right now. I can only just try to eat as much healthy food as possible, and limit the junk food.
