This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

I just wanted to start the thread. I'll be back for a proper check in.
Karla, I noticed you put your stats on your signature! I think it helps keep you accountable. That number is staring at you every time you post.
Martha! 94%! How awesome! I hope today was a good day for you, since it started so early. A cookie shouldn't send you over the BD range. Remember you have up to 37 to stay within range.
Mcat: Gosh, I hope things go smoothly for you during this round. Is DS old enough to state a preference on where to live? Let us know how this saga unfolds.
Speaking of sagas, I invited the mother of JA to lunch the Saturday of MD weekend with the kids. Her response was: due to the bizarre and unpredictable behavior of the attorneys I feel it isn't appropriate at this time. What does this mean? What bizarre and unpredictable behavior could she be referring to?? (other than her son, but I don't think she meant that)
CAW: I foresee some weekends back in KC this summer to enjoy your friends and your engagement. I know what you mean, though. The second I got engaged the next question was always have you set a date? I went straight into wedding planning mode, and didn't have the time to just enjoy being engaged. Anyhow, are there any showers this summer?
I'll be back tonight to see who has stopped by and if there is any news.

Howdy, MayDayers. I thought I'd posted yesterday, but I must have dreamed it. Frieda, good on the hold v. gain for the week, plus the solid advice that 3 lbs a month is a tremendous loss for a year. I needed that reminder.
What a nicely lively board yesterday, and I just got to read it.
We chatted with DD last night; she's heading to Seattle for a weekend just for fun. I'm wondering if she's thinking of moving there and is testing her recollections. She used to say she'd like to live there. We looked at schools there years ago.
Frieda, I have a feeling that someone's reality is being filtered through the sieve of JA's brain.
Susan, I love that DF's adult kids are so welcoming, and you get DKs in the Family Package. They are blessed to have you.
Congrats on finishing the course work with flying colors, Martha, and good luck on your first scrubby day. Avoid the junk food that is inevitably in the break room.
I put a pot roast in the crock pot and I'm set for the day.
Time to fly. More day than my brain can handle.

Aloha, Long and Lovelies!
Nothing much new here. Everyone's BD challenge has inspired me to get back on the fruit/veggie train, as well as fewer sweets and carbs band wagon. DH and I actually seem to have both hit it at the same time, which is nice. We got a nice cookbook from DMIL for our anniversary (it's for, like, active people), so I may check that out the next day or two. I like that DH is always on board with trying new stuff and helping out to do so. It really helps.
Martha, congrats on the test! That is awesome! I am assuming the early start is due to passing the test and starting a new gig? Fingers crossed!
Frieda, I agree with T - that comment definitely seems skewed. I remember going through weird stuff with my ex-in-laws as well. Ex FIL was actually a pretty nice dude, but ex MIL was on the crazy side. Hang in there - know that you tried. DS is not old enough to have a legal opinion yet - that's at age 12. That was part of the reason I was so surprised that XH filed suit now - it's just his word against mine. Hopefully we will get an offer soon and will be done with this.
T, I am assuming the Count Down has begun? Are the summer travels solidified? DH and I just realized that Spain is sneaking up on us - we really need to get back to practicing our Spanish.
Alrighty, I just had a random work request fly across my desk - must get to it. Hugs to all!

Hi, Hi. Quickie here, so I've answered roll call. Overcast but ok for NY. I have energy and am going to use it, though soon have to give self to piano - long list today.
Blue dot yesterday, another today? Also, scale relented today so I generally don't feel so puffed up. Or chicken and egg. Take your pick. I must continue to think of best for self and not best for taste buds as my rule.
So happy for you, Martha! Super duper score and accomplishment! Holy early hour, Batman!
Seattle, T. I could go on. Love that town. Of course, it has many personal memories for me because of my beloved friend. But I love it, and surroundings. Mt Vernon, Skagit Valley in tulip time is unmatched. I could live there.
Must go. Things don't jump into boxes on their own, unless they are cats.

Afternoon, my kittens,
Frieda, sorry that DMIL gave such an elusive response. T may be right. Might also be her way of trying to stay out of the mix til everything resolves.
Martha, great news on your score!
MCAT, sorry your EX is back in the mix with his bucket of crazy. Deep breaths. Hope this is over soon.
T., holding good thoughts for you as you careen towards the end of the year. We considered Seattle during Operation Depart NYC, but it was too far from aging parents for either of us.
Shari, sending you focused packing vibes.
Had a good strategic meeting this morning (angling towards a theatrical fish I'd like to catch), and heading out to a production meeting in a few minutes. Quietly launched the website for the new org last night to help estab credibility with the administrators I need to persuade. Also fighting off a whiff of Humphrey, who has arrived like an uninvited house guest.

Made it thru the day. Didn't sleep well so was behind schedule this morning. I made it to facility in time, not sure if DH made it on time to his work. I'll find out soon. My clinicals (being with residents) are in the same facility that classes were. Morning shift is 6-2, Afternoon 2-10 and Evening is 10-6. All of clinicals are done during the morning shift. It was hard to get up so early but am glad that I have kept, somewhat, my morning schedule when I was working. Not so much of a shock to the system.
BD - I was already over my 37 when I had the cookie. I did get BD for Monday and unless I totally go off kilter, I will get one for today.
Susan - Happy belated birthday and Congrats to you and Mike. Frieda - I'd ask her again closer to MD or have the girls ask. You did a good thing in asking her. Good job on the scale!! T - Hope DD likes rain/clouds. It's worse in Seattle than Portland. Get a happy light for seasonal depression and take extra Vit. D. Missy - Glad DS bday celebration was a success. Good luck with picking out some new meals. (Hand cookbook to the guys and have them pick too) Shari - Am sure you are wishing for a magic wand to get all things done. PKate - Hope things happen soon, in a very good way.
Off to get dinner started - Greek Salad.
HUGS~ m
