Good afternoon All and Happy May Day a bit late---remembering May baskets and how fun it was to place them on the doorstep and knock or ring the door bell and hide---flowers, sweets--we used to make them. I used to use my dad's old wallpaper catalogs from his store!
Wondering how many books Sue has read by now.
Worked in the yard to transplant a couple things that needed more sun and then did yoga---worked on tricep pushups today---Chattaronga--don't know how to spell it. It's a great core workout pose.

Had my procedure today.soooooo glad it is over! He found some striations under the hiatal hernia. And some tiny varices at the top of the colon. Thinks maybe the varices may be a source of a very, very slow leak. Will have to swallow a camera soon to follow up.
Enjoying outside right now.
Joan- what happened with the spider bite you had? I have something strange on my legs. 3 areas of itchy rash. - doesn't look like poison Ivey. Never have had it anyway. Wondering if something bit me working in the yard.
Finally posted pics of our landscaping on FB. Wish I was a better picture taker. They don't do it justice.

JoAnne, my spider bite has finally disappeared---taking those two Benadryl the one night caused a turn around--still have a scar where it is tho'.
Woke up sore from yesterday's yoga--knew that would be the case--way too many tricep push ups.
Made grilled tuna over Asian slaw with mashed purple sweet potatoes---was so pretty---should have taken a picture. Treated cruise Bf's to dinner as DH had to pick them up at airport right at dinner time---better than eating out as it was so relaxing in back yard.
Glad your tests are over---well, not over I guess--the camera thing sound ominous--never had to do that. Guess that word means like lesions that leak? Did he have any idea what would cause that?

Hi all,
Can't wait to hear about Sue's trip. I need to find a trip to plan.
JoJo, glad you feel better. The weather's been beautiful the last couple of days, but is supposed to get cooler again.
Joan, dinner sounds yummy. One of my coworkers is leaving to start a new gym near me. They will have pilates, which I really like.
I worked from 4-midnight last night. I'm off today because I'm working Saturday. No overnights for me this time. Need to finish grading final projects.

Hi all, Beautiful day here!
Holly hope your day off was great.
Both You,Holly and you, Joan are doing so good with your exercise. I have been working in the yard but it is not walking or doing my resistance exercises. I must get back to them now that I have some energy! I have to admit though, I have really enjoyed my time outside. When I'm not outside, I look for excuses to go out - sometimes just to walk around the yard - in that size , I guess I am walking some. Don-t really want to do things that I should be doing in the house - not good!
Should have gone to the grocery store today but got into pruning and forgot.
Yes, Joan varices are like little varicose veins like you have on your legs ( spider veins). No, he didn't say what would cause it and I'm not sure. I have a lot of questions for him when I go back for follow up. After ther camera thing, I guess. It is really not bad to swallow the camera. It is in a large pill. It transmits as it goes through. I have done it before.
How long has Sue been gone? I can't remember. Isn't her trip 3 weeks?

Hi! I can't believe our trip is almost over, flying back on Monday. It had been great trip, the days going by so quickly. Went to Wadi Rum, of Lawrence of Arabia game. We were quite adventurous in that we didn't do the ship excursion but found our own ride. Won't do that again! Although everything was fine there were some hairy moments! Details when I gee back. Went to Jerusalem, Ba'hi Gardens, met an ex colleague now living in there for drinks. Read your posts! More soon

Sue - so good to hear from you. What a surprise! Guess what ha this must be the last week of your trip.
Doing housework today. Raining here so no loss to stay inside. Will have DGS4 tomorrow.
Tried to iron some earlier but my back was hurting and had to stop. There are times I wish that I had gotten a rod in my back when I was young - too old for it now.

Hi! Got into Athens this morning. So sad to leave the ship It's been great trip. We walked a ton today. I have exercised every day. On days that we don't leave the ship and walk around towns/sight see, I go to the gym on the ship. I don't think I gained TOO much. My clothes don't feel tight at least. SO is already looking at another cruise in Jan from Miami to Capetown! Jojo, glad you are feeling better and have more energy! Joan, I have read 4 books. Mostly just entertaining fiction. Holly, you sound busy with work.

Hi all,
I'm on my lunch break. I finished grading. Overall, this class did pretty well. They have to complete a couple of wrap up assignments, then they will be finished.
We found out that we're not on the schedule for the meeting in Atlanta that is at the end of this month, so we decided not to go. That gives me some extra funds for a conference in Denver in November that's really relevant to what I do. Hope I can find someone to go with me.
It is chilly here. The weather can't make up its mind.
Sue, can't believe your trip is almost over. Seems like you just left. Glad you enjoyed it!

Good afternoon, all. Sue, welcome back to the land! Guessing you will be flying all day tomorrow? Is Athens wram or cool? We loved it there---especially the last day when we hired a private taxi to take us whereever he thought we should see. Was so fun.
Today we are back to wind---and quite warm--it's been in the 90's last half of this week but tomorrow's high is supposed to be only in the 60's---extremes all the time anymore---I think that's what climate change is bringing for all of us! My tomatoes might not like that cool spell tomorrow and then next few days---I have quite a few forming now. My rwo roma tmato plants are the healthiest looking I've ever had---spraying them with kelp oil every couple weeks must really agree with them! Turns out the snap peas I planted were mis marked--they are sweet peas--the flowers, I mean! That's a stretch!
Today I got tickets for us to see Josh Groban in Natasha and the Comet of 1812---the highly nominated Broadway play--12 nominations for Toni's this year. I'm so excited as the seats are really quite good---we will go on the 27 of June before we leave to come hom on the 29th.
JoAnne, I didn't realize your back was giving you trouble as well. That's rough.
We ate brealkfast out with cruise BF's---they are not often here anymore as they go to Florida so often now--every 3 weeks about--in fact he's flying back this week. Tomorrow I go and help a former teacher mark the playgrown for her big human picture on Monday--DH has agreed to come help---it's a big job. We have to make aobut 10 concentric circles and then the ribbons---to look like a blue ribbon.
Tomorrow night we go out to dinner with DS Park Ranger who is in town for a few days of special training---we will go to the hotel where they are staying and meet him there since he will need to be up early to start in meetings on Monday. He did not think he would have time later in the week.
Went to the gym today for my body roller class---doing a laughter yoga class tomorrow in the park with my teacher from that gym--should be fun---it's world laughter day---I guess in India last year one group that got together for this was 100,000 people. Can you imagine that many people laughing at once---the world needs this badly! Actually laughter yoga is really good core work. They do a class once a month here in my new gym---haven't ever gone as it's usually on Saturdays and I don't stay for two hours that day ordinarily.
WE are playing cards tonight with BF's. Probably at their house.
Tanzi is acting so amazingly different-=--we took her to the vet and they put her on an anti inflammatory med and on an antibiotic (tooth infection) and within 24 hours it was like having young tanzi back again---I knew something was wrong and DH was sure she was fine---finally I just made an appt. and I'm so glad I did. They think she may have fallen on one of her long jumps up to the top of the linen closet and hurt her hip on one side a bit--like a sprain---anyway, the meds are doing wonders. She will have to have a couple teeth pulled in July---have to get the infection cleared up and they have no dental cleaning openings until then. However the antibiotics should clear up the issue temporarily. It's so nice to have her acting normal again--she was sleeping all the time and not playing and not being social.
Holly, glad you are done grading---that last push at the end of each semester is rough, huh?

Hi all,
Went to church this morning, cooked one of my HelloFresh meals for lunch, then took Charlotte for a walk. She has a hard time with the leash. I think it confuses her because she gets to run free out in the woods at my parents' house.
Yeah, I always feel a sense of big relief after finishing with grading. I may teach this summer if there's an extra section available, but that doesn't look likely.

Holly I watched a dog show once called dog whisperer and the guy talked about leash walking--since then I walk DD 's dog this way and he does so much better. Maybe you already do it but will share anyway. So this guy said with dogs that have a harder time you walk very short leashed. This way the dog is not out in front Meeting up with other dogs or people before you meet them--so I wind Babe's leash up in my hand so that he is literally walking right next to my feet. It was weird when I tried it cause he heeled like a well trained dog and practically ignored every other dog we ran into. Ordinarily he would be out front pulling or back lagging and sometimes interact with another person's dog--not always joyful--depending on the dog.
Busy weird weather day. Was only 50 this morning at 8 when we started painting circles on the grass a my friend's school. We left at ten as she had others come to help finish. I went to laughter yoga meet up in the park and it turned. Old and breezy and by the time we were done it was sprinkling and cold. Now it's nearly 6 and sunny and clear!
We are going out to dinner with DSPark Rngr. Meeting him at a hotel he's saying in for some special training.

Well this is Aimee (lost penguin from the WW boards so so long ago!) Glad to have found these message boards since I have in fact rejoined WW. Im up 20 pounds from my happy spot and intend to lose it again. Most of it was gained a little over a year ago when we had to put down our Nova pup at only 4 years old. Hit a deep depression and its taken quite some time to get out of it. But I'm back and ready to do this! I missed you ladies <3

Hi all,
Things are slowing down at work finally. Looking forward to having some mental energy left over to do things after work.
Welcome back, Aimee! Glad you were able to find us since we moved boards. So sorry about Nova.
Joan, yes, I keep her close, but probably not enough. Have you read The Light Between Oceans?
