Happy day after Christmas. Today I am going to the funeral of one of my closest friends in Lebanon. Wonderful British woman I met less than 10 years ago that impacted my life greatly by being a friend, card and chat partner on Wednesdays and Saturdays and a go-to person when I needed to talk. She will be missed. Pneumonia took her rather than the huge aortic aneurysm that she knew about and lived with the last five years. It is marvelous having my daughter here. We made lasagna and salad for lunch yesterday, talked and had a piece of the Buche de Noel - not sure WHAT we will do with the rest of the huge confection! Cherry: Your kahlua in coffee made me think that I should have put some of the Bailey's in mine...maybe tomorrow morning. Sounds lovely and cozy at your house Beverly: Sounds like a lovely holiday with friends, family and way too much food! Let me know how you like the fitbit...might get one or a Garmin when in the USA next time. Pam: I so admire you for making a plan and sticking to it this holiday - and most every day - you are an inspiration. What kind of edible arrangement did you make? Lynn: I am enjoying having my daughter home. She said that she wants to "get healthier" when she goes home BUT has no intention of curbing her intake during the holidays and while here after being away so many years. I am looking forward to our time together but also to getting back on program for real when she leaves. I hope you get some rest during the rest of the holidays.

Good morning. I'm definitely in Christmas goody overload. My son brought a bunch that had had received from his parishioners, which are going in the freezer. At least most of them. We can dig them out piece by piece when we want one.
The storm came as predicted, but the blizzard part of it was a little late. It snowed most of yesterday, but the wind didn't pick up until evening and lasted through the night. It is still blowing but not snowing much so the visibility is about a mile. I have drifts in my yard anywhere from a foot and a half to almost 3 ft. The largest is what drifted into and around my lilac bushes, which is over 3 ft. The two rabbits that have been hanging around my yard are happy. It gives them all new branches to chew on.
Today we'll just stay inside, keep warm, wait for the wind to go down, then find one of my neighbors to come dig us out.
Have a good day, beaches.

Sleeping in was delightful this morning. The edible arrangement yesterday was one my dh had delivered as a gift. It had melon balls, pineapple and balls of apple dipped in chocolate. It was a big hit. Today is a quiet peaceful one. I have a plan for food and will keep smiling and moving. Have a great day beaches.

We had a day lovely time on Christmas with my cousins and uncle. Today was a lazy day. I made a pot of minestrone soup. I have many gifts to put away, but will do so tomorrow. I have to work on Thursday and then don't go back until next Tuesday.
I will be OP again starting tomorrow...tracking et al. Party time is over...
Have a lovely evening!
Cathy, I am so sorry about your friend!!

Happy day after!!! Been out today to do a little shopping, mostly because brother-in-law & sister-in-law (we are very close, she is like a sister). will be arriving on Wed. They are going to be here for 8 days. After that, I am throwing in every sweet thing in the house!!! BIL loves his sweets. The wedding is this coming Sat. We will have wedding cake out the yazoo. Cathy, so far, I like the fitbit. It was a little bit of trouble to get it set up, but I finally got it going. I'm hoping it will encourage me to move a little more. Great evening all!
