MY POWER move for the month of April is to eat at home at least 5 days each week.
I am tired after work but I know between Jim and me that we can eat healthier and cheaper by making meals at home.
I am happy that I am down a few pounds from our challenge last month . I will try very hard this month to get in the swim and lose at least 5 pounds

Good morning! Thanks Mo, for starting the April thread! I really like the theme!
Mo, I don't feel like cooking after work either! How did we manage getting meals for the family all those years when we had little kids at home? Hey I didn't know you were into swimming?! Awesome!
Hi Brenda! Do you and Maddie get to the towpath very often?
Amy, wow, sounds like you have a busy month!
I really like this month's theme! I've been sticking to the no sweets plus trying to keep simple carbs to a minimum too. It is working well. I do cut myself a break though for special occasions like last weekend's trip to Brooklyn to visit Tim & Julie, and then this past Friday at my niece's birthday celebration. I was only 0.2 up at WI in spite of both the Brooklyn trip and the party. I consider that a maintain. My exercise was down over the week but I was also on call at work plus had a brief stomach bug mid-week. It's just so crazy lately!
I had a cook-a-thon yesterday, freezing half of what I cooked so I don't have to cook during the week beyond heating up stuff. Shouldn't need to cook much next weekend either. This morning I'll bake a crustless quiche for the coming week plus cut up veggies and make some big salads. We had slim pickins last week because we'd pretty much cleaned out the freezer and fridge and being out of town last week, I couldn't do my cook-a-thon then. At least Tim & Julie treated me to Indian food (they came back with me from Brooklyn to look at a couple of houses, took train back Monday), so I had those leftovers for a few days, then I got sick so eating mostly applesauce, scrambled eggs and toast. Fortunately felt much better Friday so could go to birthday party. My body is weird -I end up GAINING after a stomach bug instead of losing -I lose initially then gain! But it settles out in the end.

I bought russ a gift for his birthday tea cups. for the Keurig I got him. I am going to pay my own off by august. I paid for my printer but my trust sent the money for it. I am going to the Credit Union today and will pay 200 for the loan. I don't have to pay anything till June so I will pay this month and next down the prinipal. and then in June pay above what I owe and hopefully finish what I owe I will go in May after I pay. I was supposed to pay the laan in 48 months. I would have done in 7 months. I have enough food around for this month. now I know what I owe for Russ's gift . I will be able to pay the card I changed by the due date I think. I have a couple of weeks till then. It i8s a reasonable gift I think. he likes tea And this way he has it. ia m sure I willl go for a party for him and bring the gift. I like it better than a gift card. Russs is hopping with us Thurswdaty. I go tomorrow to get a second booster,. I have an appointment at 10am. I have a taxi going. first at 6730 I have ataxi going to the credit Union on a rough trip.then I will go home and get ready to go get my booster. I wanted it. Because when I go to New York the little ones 3 and 1 cant have a shot yet. so I wanted the booster, Scott got his today.

Debbie, still dealing with the knees. I miss the tow path.
Mo, I know what you mean about making better meals at home.
Amy, your trip to NY should be nice.
Evenings are still my downfall. Ugh

Good morning!
Brenda, are you just starting PT? It really can help a lot.
Weather is nasty here too. Rainy and really windy. It'll test my resolve to try and walk at least 1 mile outdoors a day. I spend to much time on a TM!
Amy, that was a thoughtful gift for Russ. When is your birthday? Both my sister Dolly, and my niece have April birthdays.
Waving Hi! to Mo!
