Good morning!
CJ, congrats on cleaning out the closet and finding blots of clothes that do not fit!tats awesome, something to be proud of for sure. I am looking forward to hearing about yoiur long arm class. Which quit top will you take to learn on?
Meg, I can imagine getting your cataract removed will be a real inspiration for you. Just one funny story.....when my mom had hers removed she remarked that she used to think that her friends all looked pretty good for their age.. Then the cataracts were removed.....and she saw all their wrinkles! I hope that you have a really nice day, enjoy the quiet. Will you be seeing Janet?
Ruth,I do appreciate the vote of confidence on the hat. It looks like a really cute pattern, and in just the right size for DGS.
Phyl, wherever you are, and whatever endeavors you are in to today, I wish you a great day!
Thanks to each of you here for "being here" for me. I do at times post lots of crazy stuff, about my life and family, and am so thankful for each of you. Meg, Ruth, CJ and Phyl, each of you is a special friend to me in your own special way, and each of you iinspires me to be a better woman, and to craft more! God bless Ginny

Hello Crafters - Hope you are all doing well today and wishing you a Happy Mother's Day Meg - I hope the border on your afghan is going well. Several family members have had their cataracts removed and they saw so much better afterwards too. Ginny - For the Long Arm Class we are just supposed to bring 2 yards of material for a top, 2 yards for a backing, and 2 yards of batting. We won't actually be quilting on a quilt - which is probably a good idea since I wouldn't want to mess one up while I was learning. Ruth and Phyl - Hope you are having a good day. Today is always bittersweet for me. I lost my mother almost 39 years ago and miss her very much. I was fortunate to have my grandmother for 12 more years after my mother passed away. They were both wonderful mothers and I'm thankful for the time I had with them and the love the showed me. I wasn't blessed with children of my own. I did have a dog for 16 years and I like to say that she was the child I didn't have. She's been gone for almost 20 years now. I'm thankful to have my memories. Take care everyone!

Hello all. I'm finally home from all the morning activities and I've visited with dh. Seeing the great grandboys was fantastic. They're such happy babies. They crawl all over and one stands. It was great seeing the rest of them also. Two of the grandaughters couldn't be there because they were working.
I stopped at the grocery store on the way home and got some healthy foods as it's been awhile since we shopped.
CJ, that is a wonderful feeling isn't it, to be able to get rid of clothes because they're too large. And there are people that appreciate having them because they are also losing and have gotten down to that size and are happy to have the things that no longer fit you.
Ginny, I post crazy things about my family too and I was just thinking yesterday again about what a great thread this is and how much you each mean to me also.
I've also been searching for some thread and two kinds of beads I bought several years ago. I remember seeing it recently but can't remember where I put it. Drives me crazy when I can't find something I'm looking for right when I'm looking for it. I don't really need it but I wanted it. I really need to organize that room better.
WEll I'm going to go do some crafting of some sort. Have a great day and Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers and those that are thinking about the bittersweet memories of their own mothers.

Meg, the other thing about having cataracts done is that afterward everything looks so clean. You never realize how yellowish brown everything has started to look until after the cataract is removed and you can compare your vision in the surgery eye with the other one that hasn't been done.
Ginny, that hat has a lot of stretch too so it would actually fit for at least a couple years maybe more.
CJ, I know the class isn't till tues but just in case I, for some reason don't see you before then, I hope the class is good and to your expectations.
