Good Morning!!!
Boy, has it been a busy week. No time for a DVD last evening as I decided to get groceries after supper and took longer than expected. I did add a mile while watching TV. My weight has been up and down all December. Hope the New year will motivate me to get back on track. Going back to WW meetings in January.
Cait: Good job on the exercise and your weight loss.
Nancy: Good job on your miles and loss too.
Waving to all.

Good Morning Walkers! Got up at 6 am when I heard the rain and ran downstairs & out on the deck to bring in the cushions and move the chairs out of the rain, then went back to bed for a while. Last night wasn't good - I overate after dinner, got into the chips and cookies. But I'm back on track this am. I didn't exercise last night either, but this am I marched in place while the coffee was dripping, 20 mins = 1 mile. Found several good videos - I like reading the transcripts - I can eat more - just make the right choices! I always did think WW had it right when they made veg & fruit 0 pts to encourage us in that direction. nutritionfacts.org/video/eating-more-to-weigh-less/KELLY - You'll be back on track. The good things you've done count too, not just the mistakes π Otherwise we'd be much heavier, right? Maintaining the action over the long haul is the key - small changes repeated over and over, consistency over time - I've made lots of slips, mistakes, but I have done one thing right - I have persevered and never stopped working at what what has worked for me and others. As we say in OA - "Keep Coming Back!" One WW blogger I used to follow said that her DH told her one day when she was discouraged to keep at it even though she was depressed because she had stumbled, because "You always seem happier when you are trying." NANCY - GFY with the TM 3 mi & whoo hip on the .8 lbs down over the holidays! Waving at everyone! Have a great day! Cait 250/168/150 160.7 is my first 10% goal WW lifetime 11/4/2003 Overeaters Anonymous since 3/5/2008 My Healthy Habits: - Stick to my Plan of Eating. Aim for green zone of pts 37 or fewer; only occasionally go into higher zones, & never over 67 - Pray & meditate, read, share (12 step work) - Exercise - Work during work hours - No snacking after planned evening snack of about 4 pts - JGTB around 10 pm but not later than around 11 pm

Hello All and Happy New Year. Remember me? haha
I lost our thread but then found it. Hope all are well. I have been unmotivated this year to exercise. Some depression but I'm still at goal weight so I am so thankful for that. I still weigh daily. I never ate my APs anyway, they were just a bonus. But with no exercise I have had to watch what I eat. And I feel stiff most of the time from lack of stretching. I track food in my head (using an older program) but sometimes use Loseit.com. I have been moving (gardening, mowing, etc) just not any formal exercise but that is going to change in 2017. I am in a good place now and know that exercising is the best thing for me. I canβt wait to get back to running but will ease back into it slowly.
I wish all a safe and Happy New Year.

Hooray YETTA!
It's so great to "see" you!
At least you kept moving and you have a great handle on your eating.
Best wishes

Hello Everyone!
I hope I am back to stay. I've gotten spoiled by apps on my smartphone and tablet and that is the main reason I have not been around. I try to get on my computer but not always done as it is so easy to do most things from my phone. With that said, if anyone knows of an app that will make accessing this forum easier, I am all ears. If not, I promise to get to the computer at least three times a week.
I have been walking and cycling and keeping up with my mileage. I don't get nearly as many mikes as I once did but, I am still moving. Last night I did 6.8 mikes on the stationary bike and marched in place for 1.6 miles while watching recorded TV shows. Gumbo watches and stays out of the way while I am moving.
The past year has been terrible as far as weight loss goes but I still go to WW and try to eat healthy but I always manage to get off track. I talked with my WW Leader a few weeks ago and voiced my frustration at my inability to focus on what I know works. I am above my beginning weight. I told her I would like to "start over" and that is exactly what I will do at the first meeting of 2017. I am so glad I talked to her because I was two steps away from quitting.
My Mom is with me until after the New Year. She has dementia and cannot be left alone so I have not been to the YMCA since a week before Christmas.
Waving at everybody and thank you CAIT for letting me know that this group is still alive!

Good evening,
Kelly you will get back in the groove soon, I think the holidays have everyone messed up. Just keep trying!
Cait what you said is so true we all have hard times , but we are doing so much better than if we quit.
I walked three miles today. Do we count the month of October in this challenge? I did walk then, Nov was when I got lazy.
Waving to Velda and Yetta.

Good Afternoon Walkers!
Last night I marched in place 1 hour = 3 miles. Together with the Morning 1 Mile 20 min marching it was 4 miles for the day. I stayed in my green zone of pts and JGTB & my other HHs. Got some work done at the office. A good day.
If we can limit the frequency of excess consumption to only occasionally it makes a big difference. The more quickly I recover after overeating the better.
At WW they say "It's a holiDAY, not a holiWEEK!" Or as it used to be with me "holiMONTHS!" One person I know refers to the period from end of October to Jan 1 as "the eating season." 4 holidays with lots of food issues, one after the other. I'm dealing with it all better than I have in the past. Not perfect but MUCH "better than." I get a POTB - Pat On The Back. Progress
Glad to hear us getting back on track - whether we are jumping right on the health path or straggling towards it or getting there with baby steps, the point is we're getting better. So I wasn't perfect. I was better than in the past. It may not be pretty but it's progress none the less.
Visiting my 95 yo Mom today. She wasn't able to come on Christmas because she fell. She has dementia. I brought her gifts and she is so appreciative of any time I spend with her. Bittersweet.
NANCY - yes October counts for this challenge. October 1 to March 1. GFY with the 3 Miles. The challenges are always 5 months.
VELDA - great to have you here! Sorry to hear about your Mom. My Mom also has dementia :-( She has 24 hour caregivers. GFY with the stationary bike. Re apps - I'm using an app called Tapatalk to access this forum. re going to WW but not sticking to it - that was my experience after I lost the 100+ lbs - I couldn't stick with it - so I added Overeaters Anonymous to my program, and it made all the difference for me.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

Someone in another message board group I'm on said: Here's a quote from my meeting, "If you say "no" at the store you only say no once. If you buy it you have to say no repeatedly OVER and OVER again till it's gone."

Good evening,
I walked the TM four miles today. I was seeing if my Fitbit was going to work after a new battery. It is off and on , so I use the odometer on my treadmill. The miles on it are the only ones that I count in this challenge. I have moved my bike back out to use. Had to move it during Christmas. I have the sweetest DIL, she knew my Fitbit had died and today she ordered me one. I am not sure which one, it is the new watch. That will inspire me to get on the ball. Cait good miles. I bet your Mother enjoyed your visit. I need to go see mine, she is ninety two , but it is a ten hour drive. Think I will fly, maybe in Feb. I hope you all have a very Happy New Year.

Hello Everyone!
I decided not to exercise today. It rained all day and all I wanted to do was sleep. I did get up and move at least 250 steps for 11 of the 12 hours between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. Tomorrow I will meet my 12k step goal.
CAIT, thanks for the info on Tapatalk. I had downloaded the app but was still having to take too many steps to get here. Re-registering took care of that.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year! See y'all tomorrow.
