We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they've hatched!

So now we know what Sally said, and she said a lot. She was smart and prepared, and she knew how to stand her ground. Slimy Ted did not come out well against her. That alone was enough to make her one of my heroes. But now she's in the far right's cross hairs, and they are trying to subpoena her emails. Meanwhile at the EPA, "The Environmental Protection Agency dismissed half the scientists who serve on a science review board that plays a crucial role in the work the EPA does. The EPA relies heavily on the scientific guidance of the group when it comes to air and water quality when making policy decisions." Can't let those pesky scientists get in the way with their facts.

I hadn't heard or seen that someone was trying to subpoena Sally Yates's email's. So, now, more time & money spent on an email investigation. Look how well that went, last time around ! I sure wish, " whoever" would put in as much effort to bring Fake Prez, his smarmy family, & his billionaire cabinet/staff to justice for all the laws they have already broken. And the thing is, it's clear they have broken so darn many! The GOP sure has a thing for emails, don't they!?!?!?!

Linda, the conservative group Judicial Watch is suing for her emails written and received during her short tenure as Acting Attorney General. I don't know what they think they can find, most likely it's just payback because she stood up to Tweety and acquitted herself well yesterday. You know how those far right groups are, they feel threatened by a strong, independent woman.

The environment was already precarious, and he is wreaking even more destruction on it with his policies. As for the rest of the country, he is set on a path of destroying what does make America great as surely as Sherman marching to the sea.

As I was coming home from WalMart, heard the end of an interview on CNN with a congressman, but unfortunately don't know which congressman it was. It wasn't one I could recognize from the sound of their voice. Anyway, he was saying that he supports sending more troops to Afghanistan but that it would not work, because that was not the answer and the only thing it would likely do is lengthen the amount of time it takes the Taliban to take over again. But, he reiterated that yes he does support sending more troops because he doesn't see any other choice even though he does not believe this will work. Does that make any sense to you??? I admit I just got the very end of the interview, so maybe it would have made more sense if I had heard what came before; but, how can you justify sending even more troops into harms way when you are already publicly saying that it's not going to work? This sounds just like Viet Nam. Keep sending those troops and ramping up the war even though it's already a foregone conclusion that there will be no victory.

I heard parts of that interview too & it was a Democrat, who's name escapes me now. It did not make one iota of sense to me. Has anyone in Washington not learned anything in last 16 years or more of war in the Middle East?!?!?!.....How many more lives to we have to sacrifice?.... We can't even take care of our Vets when they come home now.

That Erin Elmore chick that is a commentator on CNN drives me crazy! She is a Trump supporter and former Apprentice contestant. Those are literally the only qualifications for this annoying woman to be a commentator. In fact, that's what they list right next to her name. She is bitchy, bossy, and lacking any moral character in my opinion. She is a disgrace to her gender.

OMG, hnybyn91, I just saw her on CNN too & was thinking, who the heck is she...THANKS for explaining her background. It explains a lot. I think I even gave my middle finger some exercise when she carried on with her rant. I know, I know not seemly conduct for a Granny to flip someone off. She's even worse than the one Joyce can't stand...can't think of her name, but can see her face in my mind...UGH!

@lka5 I think the one that Joyce can't stand is Kayleigh McEnneny. I can't stand her too but I can tolerate her way more than I can Erin - but I do still yell obscenities at her as well lol

LOL! You're right that the one I can't stand is KMc. I even sent an email to CNN telling them how much I dislike her, and I immediately switch channels every time her face pops up on screen. I'll be on the look out for EE. Right now I can't place her in my mind. Where on earth do they find these people? They clearly have no more knowledge about politics than Joe Blow off the street. I guess they're young and prettier than Joe Blow so that's all that's needed. With all the truly smart women out there, surely they could find some better commentators even on the R side. Ana Navarro is a commentator on the right that I don't necessarily agree with, but I think she is smart and a good commentator.

Tweety finally did something I approve of by firing Comey!!! Yay!!! Probably did NOT do it for the right reasons, but nevertheless I'm glad to see him go. Of course, with the people Tweety has been filing positions with the next one may be even worse than Comey.
Guess putting his thumb on the scale for Tweety right before the election didn't pay off for him as well as he thought. Now that the Russian investigation is coming more into the open, Tweety has no loyalty. He should have learned from watching what happened with Chris Christie.
