Sunday 50 minutes walking the ranch alone before church. It's currently 4:03 and it's 106. Thankful for the A/C in the Travel Trailer. Whew doggies it's hot. And on a side note, my husband killed a rat snake, (really big and ugly but they just squeeze their prey which are rats, rabbits and the rest of the critters they can find) last night saving all we women on the ranch. My nephew was at a Ferrier competition in New Mexico and my husband is the man of the ranch while he's gone. His wife was yelling snake, snake, snake and he ran outside and did what he had to do. Ranch life, gotta love it. My nephew got a rattler a few weeks ago. We are in Texas after all. 1 Day HOF/SHOF

Sally, 106 Wow! Right now we are having a day or two of very cool weather, then it will be back to summer.
I get it about the rattlesnakes. We have them also but they are VERY slow strikers which is good because I have "almosts" with them. One thing I do is create a "clear line of site" by making sure that all paths have no overhanging branches that distract me from watching and also that I can see clearly between the bushes in the yard. Right now I am practicing to remember to watch for them by doing my silent chanting--Watch for rattlesnakes, watch for rattlesnakes. Also my dogs participated in RS avoidance training seminars and are kept current on their rattlesnake toxoid vaccine which according to the vets at the emergency vet hospital improve the dog's chances of survival.
Sunday - 8,527 Puttering steps and Yoga

Yes, I look down when I walk now just in case a rattlesnake is near. And when I'm by myself I'll use your chanting if you don't mind me using it. Monday, fun day! Actually 51 years ago today we said, "I do" and I weigh the same as I did that day! Going out for dinner-yea I don't have to prepare one. 50 minutes walking the ranch with Kay this morning again before it heated up. And we both got showers at the Y after some exercise there. 2 Days HOF/SHOF

Whoa Michelle, I love how you find steps doing the most interesting things. I just look down as we walk looking for snakes and at the Y watching for those who want to pass us on the loop or pass those walking slower than we do and passing them. Friday 50 minutes walking the ranch and then at the Y with Kay. Saturday 50 minutes walking just the ranch today with Kay. 7 Days HOF/SHOF

Saturday - 10,240 steps many of them picking up large pieces of firebreak refuse. It's fairly hard work making those piles so I am getting attached to them and will miss them when they go in the yet to be created hole. 7 Days HOF/SHOF Sally, We are united in paying attention to where our steps are landing which is helping me to remember to keep reminding myself to keep an eye out when I am working outside.
