So Assistant AG threatened to quit because JA in Chief is throwing him under the bus for the Comey firing. He should have quit & not just threatened if he feels he was duped into JA scheme! When in gods name are these people going to wake up & do the right thing. I guess if they don't have the guts to push back then they all deserve to go down in flames with the JA in Chief...

If you can be tricked over a photo, can you imagine more serious things you can be tricked over...Well, I guess we can but JA in Chief not so much! LOL...What did they think would happen when you ban the WH Press Pool from the meeting but allow the Russian Press in...What a bunch of idiots in the WH...it's funny & scary at the same time!

As Alice said, this Comey situation just gets "curioser and curioser". I know Tweety and his despicable gang are shoveling hard trying to cover everything up, but I just have to believe that eventually the truth will prevail.
The entire country should be rising up and demanding a special independent prosecutor. If ever there was a situation that called for a special prosecutor, surely this is it. If there truly is nothing there, then we need to know that and know it from a source we can accept. I don't think that's the case, but if Rs really and truly don't think anything is there then it seems they would want a special prosecutor themselves to try and prove the lack of fire from the smoke. The fact that they don't want one tells you that they think there is fire also, and are afraid of what might be found.
If Rosenstein or anyone else thought Tweety would have any loyalty they were surely naive to say the least. What's that old saying about if you lie down with dogs don't be surprised when you get up with fleas. Tweety will throw everyone under the bus before he will go down. Rosenstein isn't even a speck on his shoe.
I still don't believe Comey could have been trusted in conducting an investigation, and even though it was certainly not Tweety's intent I still personally think that ultimately it will be a good thing that he fired Comey. It may start everything unraveling.

As for the WH being surprised that Russians posted the pictures, that truly is laughable. Honestly, I don't think these people would be capable of running a Jr High Student Council. They seem to be clueless!

So I guess Burr actually left the Senate Intell hearing and went and met with Rosenstein in a secure area while the hearing was still happening. It's getting good now. House of cards is starting to crumble!

"do the people who think Trump is doing a good job really know what a Democracy is or do they not understand what is going on beyond their little spheres...."
I don't believe most of them "think". All they had to do was keep Hillary out of the WH. Their job is finished. Even when their little spheres start to spiral out of control, when their lives as well as the lives of those they care about are in danger, the best they'll come up with is it's all Obama's fault. Red hot hatred is a habit. So is blind loyalty. It's not impossible to break a habit it's just easier to find fault with others instead. IMHO, of course.

hnybny91, "It's getting good now. House of cards is starting to crumble!" And just like a house of cards, when one goes down they're all going to fall. (At least in my dreams.)

What is it with this WH that they can't seem to find one single smart, well spoken, professional demeanor woman to speak for them? Maybe it's because a truly smart woman would turn them down.

She is a deplorable piece of crap, isn't she? This rotten apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Daddy must be so proud. I'm sure she doesn't hate Gays like her daddy does. Did I say Gays? I mean she doesn't hate the press. She just hates their lives.

I'm tired of that too!!
"that's like saying a well formed turd is better than diarrhea." OMG! I can't stop laughing. I love it! Good one. L O L!!!!

Trumpâs Oval Office meeting with Russian officials grows more alarming 05/11/17 10:11 AMâUPDATED 05/11/17 10:18 AM By Steve Benen At face value, it looked ridiculous. The day after Donald Trump fired the FBI director overseeing the investigation into the Russia scandal, the president welcomed Russian officials into the Oval Office for a chat. Soon after, the world was treated to photographs from the Russian Foreign Ministry â not the White House or U.S. news organizations â of Trump shaking hands with Sergei Lavrov and Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
It wasnât long before many started wondering why American journalists were barred from the event, but Russiaâs official news agency was allowed in.
The Washington Post took this a step further, highlighting the possibility of a security breach. A photographer for a Russian state-owned news agency was allowed into the Oval Office on Wednesday during President Trumpâs meeting with Russian diplomats, a level of access that was criticized by former U.S. intelligence officials as a potential security breach.
The officials cited the danger that a listening device or other surveillance equipment could have been brought into the Oval Office while hidden in cameras or other electronics. Former U.S. intelligence officials raised questions after photos of Trumpâs meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov were posted online by the Tass news agencyâŚ. Other former intelligence officials also described the access granted to the photographer as a potential security lapse, noting that standard screening for White House visitors would not necessarily detect a sophisticated espionage device. Former deputy CIA director David S. Cohen was asked on Twitter yesterday whether it was wise to allow a Russian government photographer and his equipment into the Oval Office.
âNo,â Cohen replied, âit was not.â
So why in the world did Team Trump let this happen?
Apparently, the White House was told that the photographer worked with Lavrov, not that he also worked for Russiaâs state-owned news agency.
A White House official told CNN, in reference to the Russians, âThey tricked us.â
If this explanation is intended to inspire confidence, itâs not working.
Postscript: Incidentally, why did the president agree to host this meeting? âHe chose to receive him because Putin asked him to,â a White House spokesman said of Trumpâs Lavrov meeting.
