Hi sunrose - I understand about the candy, I just bought some at the store this morning I I hope you can find a plan that works for you, maybe one of the older ones. I loved Weight Watcher's plans the times I followed them in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, and I know I can go back and do an earlier plan. The most recent one I had success on (two times!) was Momentum. I just kind of feel burned out from any plan at all, but that might just be laziness I don't think I'd like the current plan and have no interest in doing it. I would love it if an old style meeting and plan magically appeared and I could join and attend - it's a nice dream. I do have the Healthi app (formerly ItrackBites) on my phone, but don't really use it and maybe I should try that again. I prefer doing things on my desktop computer (I'm old school) and fooling around with the smartphone is irritating to me. It all boils down to the fact that I just need to crack down and do the work. I just hope I can get to that point before my health is seriously affected Take care and thanks for checking in all the time. Cj59, I liked the momentum plan too. But I totally get what you’re saying that it boils down to you doing it and that’s what it is for me too I just got to get my head screwed back on right. It’s already affecting my health the weight is not good. I did go to WW meeting this morning and I lost a pound so that was nice. I do appreciate your support and like checking in here. I miss the other people hope they check in sometime soon

Hi sunrose - Congratulations on the weight loss and going to the meeting. I hope they are helpful for you. I also appreciate your support and like to check in, it keeps me accountable. I too wish we'd hear from some of the former posters, at least just to know that they are O.K. I keep seeing people who are losing weight and I'm just envious that they have the motivation and strength to do it. I just hope I can find those again for myself Hope you and everyone else has a great weekend!

Cj59, I’m envious too. My friend at ww has lost 17 pounds. She originally lost 147 and gained a lot back but not all of it. She feels like she is in a grove again. Every Saturday she doesn’t track and has pretty much what she wants to eat. And then Sunday gets right back on the program. She’s basically been losing 1 to 2 pounds a week. So my focus is going to be to lose whatever once a week. And I know that it will eventually add up like what she’s doing.

Hi sunrose - Hope you are enjoying your weekend. I hope this focus will work for you. I remember when I first did Momentum, I pretty ate what I wanted on Saturday (after weigh-in)but stayed on track from Sunday-Friday. I consistently lost weight for over a year. I didn't go too crazy on Saturdays, but just ate some foods that were higher in points.
I have lost and gained so much weight over the last 40 years, I just wish I could lose what I want to keep it off.
I was thinking that what I might try is setting a goal just to track and eat well for a week, but to take it one day at a time. I would tell myself to just get through that one day, and then tell myself the same thing the next day. Sometimes once I start something the habit gets started and I can stick with it. I think this might help me more than saying I have to start dieting again for however long it takes to lose what weight I need to lose, instead I just have to do a day and week at a time. I may try to start this on August 1st - Mondays usually work good for me as a starting day.
I don't think I'll weigh myself for a bit though. I know if I see that high number on the scale, I won't be able to do anything. And I'm hoping just working on getting the good habits - eating and tracking - back into my daily life will help me be strong enough to weigh again eventually. I'm just going to count calories for right now instead of points since I won't know my weight.
I hope I can start this in a few weeks. I really need to do something.

Cj59, that’s a great plan you have and you set small goals. I went out to dinner last night with my friend. I always get the same thing, chicken sandwich with french fries. Luckily the french fries kind of stunk so I only ate a few. I need to get my treadmill working again so I can get on that five minutes at a time. It’s just too hot to walk outside.
I ordered more candy again UGG. I hope I can just keep it to a small treat.

Hi sunrose - I hope you can get your treadmill out so you can walk inside. I'm hoping to start walking inside again too. I hope you can portion out the candy. I know I'm probably being an enabler but I don't think a few pieces of candy each day are that bad I'm doing about the same as I've been doing for months. I sure hope I can get motivated to do better in August. Hope anyone checking in is doing well

Cj59, picking one thing is great. I gained a pound at my wi on Friday. Ugh. I’m higher on the scale then I’ve ever been. 😞
Well tomorrow starts a new month. I’m gonna start with a clean slate and I too will pick one thing to work on. I’ll think about that today. I hope you’re doing well
