This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7" and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Good morning CATs, Frieda, did you get the important phone call? I hope you have a great weekend. Colleen, I'm so sorry about the noisy apartment. Any plans for an overthrow? Linda, bummer that you and the little ones have been so sick! I hope everyone is getting past that and feeling much better. Shari, your time is getting so short. Hope that colonoscopy was clear. Angela, have a good time on your cruise. MCat, sounds like your dad is having some medication issues? I hope that all gets sorted quickly and he's back on a smooth path. pKate, what's rocking your world these days? T, end of days is drawing oh so near. Hang on! Andrea, Karla, Melinda, Susan, Martha, and anyone else I'm missing I look forward to hearing from you someday soon.
Yesterday was a road trip and the final wrap-up meeting of Conference 2017. Now we move on to the next one. My coworker/supervisor and I took a road trip and played, shopped and ate for the first part of the day before the meeting. It was refreshing and relaxing.
Things in the office are running pretty smoothly so it's once again a happy place to be.
Nothing big planned for the weekend but I do send sincere and happy wishes for each of the mothers on our board to have a wonderful day filled with family and pampering. Yours is a big and important job and I'm so honored to call you all my friends.

Hi Felines. In the car so this will be short. Head not agreeable.
Rough week w two preps and one colonoscopy yesterday, finally, after hours of waiting. I am ragged. Polyps removed, all good, results pending. Thanks for good wishes, All.
Three sites of moles removed from Thurs, bugging me. Results pending. Stitches out in two weeks. But the bug me part is band aids on them and my delicate skin. Oy!
Frieda, 5 blue dots for me and 159 today due to the week. Not an easy way to get them.
On way to DD and dance showcase tonight. Love to All.

Happy Mother's Day!! Called Dmom the other day to tell her that her MD present was going to be late arriving. That's okay, as long as it arrives. It's going to be a busy weekend getting class completed, food made for DH and laundry/packing before I leave. Doing a happy dance after ww mtg/wi today. Down 1.2# this week. I had 3 blue dot days for the week. My food journal and calculator are going with me. I want to continue the ridding self of extra weight. Not sure how often I'll be able to check in here or FB, as my phone isn't connected and don't have laptop. (might have to kick DNephew off computer) HUGS and Love to all~ m

I don't have time to chat. Thanks for asking Anne. We seem to be moving toward resolution. Shari, I cannot tolerate the band aids either. It's our delicate skin. Anyhow, get at your pharmacy that white tape in the band aid aisle and get the gauze to make your own. It's the glue in the bandaids that does it. My derm says the key is keeping the area with aquifer so no scarring. My eating wasn't so good today. I won't have a weigh in until Monday. I promised someone I would only weigh myself once a week. It's really hard to do. I do like a check in a couple of times a week.
That's it for now. See you all tomorrow! Have fun Martha on your trip! Do the best you can--all the way around.

Happy Mother's Day! What a week. So glad it's in the rear view mirror.
DD is coming over later. I'd like to put some planters together with her help, and get her input on which reseeded perennials to move out to make room for others. I lose objectivity. The light patterns change every year under our trees, so some thrive, others don't.
I worked in the yard -- quite strenuous when you are out of shape -- yesterday, and today I'm sore all over. But that's okay.
It's good to see you, Angela. Enjoy your cruise. Two months into a loss is very very fresh. I'd just let her cry. She needs someone to listen, and she doesn't want to talk to a stranger about something so personal.
MCat, let me know if you get good relief with the shots; I may be recommending the same to DS. Hooray, Anne, a successful wrap on the conference, and now you can think of the upcoming planning w/o the drama from the dearly departed.
Frieda, the new Anne of Green Gables series on Netflix is sweet, if a bit overwrought. Watch it with your DDs and a box of tissues. The books were tearjerkers but also had a lot of humor woven into them. Not exactly faithful to the books, but the central characters' personalities are fairly depicted, and the setting is beautiful. Martha, how as the first week of your internship? Are you on the night shifts? So, Shari, when is D-Day? Are you bringing your cat, or will he stay with DS? I'm glad you got the scope done before the move. Colleen, I'm so sorry about the apartment; all you can do is keep the pressure on with the landlord about the tenant noise, I guess. I'm hoping Linda is recovered! The famous words of Roseanne Roseannadanna keep coming back to me: "There's always something."
Celebrate the moms and mom-ettes in your life!
