This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7" and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Flying hello, here.
Between a walk and working in the yard, I worked out some kinks in knotted muscles, and added a few new ones. I had a delightful day with DD, and she helped me put some new pots of shade-loving plants together. We also had a nice chat with DS. Altogether, a good time.
I neglected work, so now I need to scramble a bit to get ready for the day.

Hi T and CaTs to trail in. Dreary NY reporting in. 86° in the forecast for Wed and Thurs - can't wait! Finally feeling more like my good self, though bandaid spots are majorly annoying. I took your advice Frieda but little relief. Counting down the days to stitch removal. Like worms under my skin. T, love the pic of you and DD - so very pretty. Glad you enjoyed your day. We had a great weekend w mothers and daughters, even a son for a moment. Time is rich and full right now. T, any word for DS and summer?
Tonight begins last piano lessons, night one of three. Glad and sad. Relieved and needing to be free. Hard to detach.
Now need to do laundry and clean bathrooms to keep me grounded in real life.
Best day to you all, CaTs.

Aloha, Long and Lovelies!!!
So, DDad is still in the hospital. They had decided on Friday that they wanted to keep him all weekend to monitor him after he was hydrated and eating, to see if the new nausea meds worked. In the meantime, he was getting really uncomfortable, and yesterday they drained 2.5 gallons of fluid from his abdomen. They've done a scan and are doing labs to figure out what is going on. DMom and DBro are worried that the cancer is back; I am wondering if it isn't something colon-related (like that thing where part of your colon dies and they have to remove it). Fingers crossed that it isn't cancer-related. I talked to DDad yesterday and he sounded good; DMom is nervous. Fingers crossed that we get some good news today.
T, I will definitely let you know how the shots go. DH and I were talking about it this weekend, and he pointed out that most allergy stories end with people just getting the shots. I hope mine is the same. Testing is Thursday. Fingers crossed! So glad you got to spend time with DD and chat with DS. We had lovely weather here this weekend.
Frieda, so happy that you are moving towards resolution. It's such a big deal and relief - always hard to explain to people that haven't been through it. Fingers crossed that progress continues.
Angela, I hope you enjoy the cruise and you have a good heart-to-heart with your sister. You can't bear that burden alone.
Anne, so happy that your office is a better work place now. Do you get some downtime/slow time before jumping in on the next planning?
Shari, goodness! You are a bundle of medical procedures! I hope you are feeling better today and that all results come out positively negative.
Martha, so happy that you are down! That is fabulous!
Oh, to add to my joy....I have, out of nowhere, become the epitome of the female walking water balloon. Out of nowhere I am up four pounds and I can barely get my rings on and off. Most clothes are tight. At first I thought this was some crazy PMS, but it has been going on for 3 weeks now. I suspect that I am hitting menopause/perimenopause. Does this go away? Anybody have any good recommendations? This feeling is positively miserable, and making me cranky.
Alrighty, enough about me! Have a great day, ladies!!!

Hi CATs. Back to the grind after a long lovely weekend. Most of it was spent working on trying to improve the curb appeal of beach house #1. We actually got word of a new offer while we were there and hope they will want to play ball with us. I'm so ready to get that one sold and start on #2. At the same time, DF's business purchase opportunity seems to be moving along quickly and we are working hard on due diligence activities this week. It's exciting if a bit scary. So much happening to us all at one time it seems! So, I'm plugging along and trying to keep my head above water. My BD diligence has suffered with so many balls up in the air, but I keep hoping I'll get back on target before long.
Must run for now. Hope everyone has a great Monday.

hi all. just stopping by for a quick hello and nod to staying accountable. I will track today! I will stay within BD range. I'm exhausted - mentally and physically. I'm ready to go home like 3 hours ago...
waves to all, hope you are doing well.
