New month! Yea!!! Thursday 60 minutes walking the gravel. Did my 50 and then dh lost something on the quad so we walked it again to see if we could find it. Nope. It's a beautiful day in Central Ohio. Making stir fry for dinner tonight, one of my favorite meals!

Thursday - 10,972 Moving Steps and Yoga. Another day working on getting the new office space organized t the max!
5 Days HOF/SHOF
Sally, DH lost his Fitbit in the 11 acre yard and then found it about two years later somewhere in the native vegetation. Of course it was not useable and had already been replaced. However it was rather phenomenal that he found it since he wanders aimlessly whacking golf balls, using the property as his driving range.

I'm still laughing, "Whacking golf balls, using the property as his driving range." That's exactly what my husband did when we lived in the PNW on 1.68 acres. The dog would go fetch the golf balls and bring them back with teeth makes in them. He'd found those balls he used on the courses he played and saved them for hitting on our property. Glad to hear he found his Fitbit. I'm surprised it didn't have a ton of steps on it. And yes, wandering aimlessly is what they do most of the time any way at least my DH. )

Friday 50 minutes walking the gravel and then 20 more scouring Target and a few other places for a "noodle" our son-in-law needed to put on a piece of metal. Too late in the season but I found a fancy one at Target that had no price tag on it. Took it to the front and the gal said it's out of stock but how about, $0.50? I said sold. It was actually just the right size and we all laughed that it cost me $0.54 with tax. SCORE I'll add another 10 minutes because it was two Targets that I walked around twice in each. Life on the farm. So I'm currently on the same amount of land that you are.

Well Michelle, if I had a home I could get those as well but alas, we still have none but thankful for this time in Ohio and the love we feel in Texas. I guess I did get homemaking steps the three nights I was in charge of dinner. Sunday 50 minutes, which is just over 12,000 steps, walking the gravel drive once again before the rains come. I don't wear my Fitbit anymore so I just county the steps when I walk my long walk. 7 Days HOF/SHOF

Sunday - 9,152 Homemaking Steps. Power may go out on Monday. Day 1 HOF/SHOF Sally, When I was a gym rat I would use all my energy pursuing those goals and then not keep up my house. Walking on the tredmill counted as exercise but walking a mile cleaning in my home didn't. I thought this was nutty so now I count all my steps. I just now stopped doing a good functional fitness workout outside of window washing on and on. I count those steps! Also I find that the FitBit wards off the lazies since it lets me know that I need to amp up the exercise. Anyway I love!!!!! to be active and am grateful for my genetically inherited attitude. Hooray!!!
Monday - 9,042 Homemaking Steps and Yoga. The Paper Tiger has been forcing me to sit in a chair for too many hours lately. However I did manage to wade through innumerable office emails, answer them, create them on and on. My fingers got a lot of exercise thought The power stayed on. Hooray for that!

News Flash: I reached out to Becky via email to check on her yesterday and she replied. Told her I would share it with you. Here's her response:
Hi Sally,
It's great to hear from you. I have missed posting with you two ladies. I do remember about the Air Stream but after that I seem to have lost contact. Unfortunately I am not doing much walking. My knee replacement did not help much and I am having feet problem so I don't walk much. I am in 2 different direct sales companies I work from home. One is a gift boutique where they sell anything from greeting cards to stationary to candles to gift bags. It's been kind of interesting. I also just joined a company called Sipology. They sell loose leaf tea and the difference between it and bag tea is just unbelievable and I really enjoy it. I just started not quite a month ago but so far sales are good.
I was so glad you found my email address and hopefully we can keep in touch. Please tell Michelle hello for me and prayers for you both.
Becky
I'll let her know I'll check in each month to keep her up to date on what's going on in our lives. I may cut and paste our thread from here to keep her posted.
Monday 50 minutes walking by my laptop because it rained all day long. Tuesday 50 minutes walking the gravel early before any rain comes later today.
I agree about just liking to move more as a way of life. I'd rather walk all the aisle of the grocery store than just run in and run out. I do like to keep moving. I believe it's the only way to grow old gracefully.
