Winter is here!! We have 4 days to January 1,2017. The week before is enough time to develop new goals and approaches for goals with exercise and healthy eating. Whether gym at home or outside we can exercise and see the benefits by New Years day. Tracking our healthy eating helps us lose weight.
WELCOME EVERYONE anytime and yes you can walk/jog/run or combo, cycling, spinning, swimming, aerobic classes, elliptical machine, yoga, pilates, strength train and core work too!
Each week you Can set and post your own attainable mileage/minutes goal and strive to achieve it. Saturday thru Friday is our fitness week with Saturday morning weigh-ins (WI). WIs are encouraged but optional. There is no judgement here!
This challenge runs from September 2 to New Year's Day.

Good morning! I am excited to start the New Year sorta fresh. I haven't been too awful over the holiday but I am ready to get on with it!
Jim and I booked our hotel in Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. Our 40th anniversary is Feb 19th but we are waiting til the end of May so we can ride The Maid of the Mist and enjoy a little nicer travel weather.
I am looking forward to adding another country to my bucket list!

hi Mo. I am glad New Year is coming i have not been doing well eating. I go to WW December 31 so I will Know the last weight and first weight January 1. I am glad I have January 1 with knowing the new site. I love my new apple mac it take me to this site by bookmark i get the ny times email and inbox the same way. It is only 13 inches and I have a wireless mouse and take it with me. Glad you can add Canada as a country. I have not heqaard from Deb I hope she is okay.

Hello all! Happy holidays! Sorry I haven't been around! I was on vacation for the past week and haven't been online at all at home. But back to work and on track again. Thanks for starting us Mo!
Mo, that sounds awesome! I hope to hear a trip report from you after the trip! And congrats on the 39 years and counting!
Thanks for your concern Amy! Glad you are back! Congrats on the new apple mac! You'll get back on track with your eating, you've done it before! You had a lot of changes in the past year and that can derail anyone's healthy habits!
Up until last Friday, I was doing great with my eating and actually broke a decade and into the 170s! Then came Christmas. BUT I'm back on track now and still plan to be in the 170s for January 1!
I had some bad news in that my last xray of my foot revealed that the 2 pins that were inserted have broken. So I've had to back off jogging, spinning and even walking. However, I still can go to the gym for the recumbent bike and weight lifting -so I am! The podiatrist is working with the insurance company to get me a bone growth stimulator that I attach to my foot at night while I sleep. He's trying to get it approved before the new year to save my literally thousands of dollars because I've met my deductible for the year. Otherwise it's going to cost me at least $1500 (although then I will have met the 2017 deductible!). This on top of my $3000 plumbing repair job that I unexpectedly got myself at a Christmas present the Friday before last. This has been one of the most expensive Decembers I've ever had! Before the plumbing issue I'd just bought a new dishwasher (my planned Christmas gift to myself) plus paid off a portion of Susan's student loan ($2000 down, only $20,000 to go). Ouch, my pocket hurts!

Okay, I posted my WI last Friday, I'm up almost 5 pounds since then! BUT I'm on track again and am sure I can get those 5 pounds off again that I gained so quickly! I seem to finally be in a good mindset to lose the weight. I actually am catching myself before I eat something and asking myself if I really want it. Now most of the time I realize I don't want it, I'd rather be thinner. Maybe the shock of the set back with my foot is what I needed to finally take a good look at my eating habits and realize I needed to decide once and for all what I'm willing to do to be a healthy weight and how important it is to me!

WW SATURDAY i go to i plan to start over Just got bad news AAtacy ia becoming manager and can't be my case manager any more Katy who will start inJanuary will be. But Stacy will guide her. I found out a hour ago. I am so sad. I got used to Stacy the new treatment plan will consist of eatingexerciswe and getting used to Katy. I got rid of cable tv today. I will just pay20 dollars for my landline and save 97 dollars. I get Wi Fi free now in building.

Went to my WW meeting this morning and had a small loss. I was happy with that, but like Mo/Amy I am looking forward to a new refreshing start in 2017!!
