We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they've hatched!

So, is everyone else just as mentally & physically weary of all the new scandals being reported every day involving JA, as I am?!?!?!?!....I didn't even listen to any news this morning because I'm so sick & tired of it all being talked to death & no positive steps forward to stop the idiot in the WH...UGH!
So, on a happier note, I plan to spend the day doing some yard decorating. I love old vintage washtubs, pumps, tools, boxes, wheelbarrows, baskets, birdhouses, & other odds & ends, etc to place around the yard amongst the perennials & other flowers. We still have frost overnight til Saturday, so can't plant any annuals yet. Then it looks good. My mom always said don't plant annuals & garden til after last full moon in May because of frost/freeze at night. Of course, we have been known to get snow in June, so not sure if Mom's thing is just an old wives tale or not. I figure if the flowers need to toughen up if they want to grow in ND...LOL
Joyce...thinking of you today & hope your Dad's procedure is uncomplicated & fixes his issues. 😊
Think HEALTHY!

The Doofus is going to be in my neighborhood today to address the Coast Guard Academy grads. People here are hedging bets on whether he will address the grads and give a meaningful speech geared toward their hard work and futures in the service ... or give a campaign rally and bitch about voter fraud.
Hmm ... "meaningful" ... "speech" ... campaign rally seems more likely. There may also be a brawl. Trump supporters have a rally planned at six other anti-Trump groups will be on hand. The Trump supporters tried to get the city council to make their rally exclusive and block anti-Trumps. I hope there are lots and lots of videos of it all.

"Protesters are quickly outnumbering supporters" - local coverage. Wow - so far, bigly.

My vote is " give a campaign rally and bitch about voter fraud"......What a waste of space Trump is, wish he would step down and let the country get moving again. But then of course we would have Pence, screwed up as Gov. of In.

Unbelievable, but predictable. Those students have toiled for four years and had a lovely day on the coast with their parents and loved ones on hand to relish their achievements and success.
And here comes Diaper Boy to bitch and whine. How anyone can support him boggles the mind.

Had to take my poor dog to the emergency vet this morning. Three hours and $600 later we are finally home. He has some sort of intestinal thing going on and my poor Boo Boo is so miserable. X-rays showed no obstruction and blood work showed liver and kidneys are fine so I guess we just have to wait it out. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon.
Dow is down over 300 points. Even corporate america is turning against Trump. Comey wants to testify but he wants to do it in open session. He wants all of America to hear what a snake Trump is. Spicer wouldn't verify if Trump has sought outside counsel but some are saying he must have and that is why 24 hours with no twitter tirade. Are the tides finally turning? I sure hope so.

Dan Rather........... And then the dam broke. A flood is coming that will shape the future of our Republic in ways no one can predict. Except that the speed with which this has all happened, just a over a hundred days into President Donald Trump's dumpster fire of an administration, means it was all very predictable. And no one who played a role in normalizing this President should be allowed to forget it. We have news that the Department of Justice, under Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, will appoint a special a Special Counsel to investigate the Russia interference scandal. Apparently the President was only given a 30 minute heads up, and it came while he was interviewing new heads for the FBI. The Special Counsel will be former FBI Director Robert Mueller. These types of investigations tend to stir up more dirt than anyone thought was there. We will see if that happens now. The stock market plummets. The White House staff is in chaos. The chorus of Republicans suddenly eager to be on the right side of history gets louder. Most of the time Washington moves in slow motion - except when it doesn't. And this moment is one of those times. We are living in a news cycle that can be measured in nanoseconds. And amidst the news, another blockbuster report by the Washington Post. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy apparently said last June that he thought Putin pays Trump. At which point Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, who was also there, stopped the conversation and swore those who were present to secrecy. When the Post asked about the incident, spokesmen for both representatives denied the story on the record. When they were informed that the Post reporters had heard a tape of the exchange, they changed their tune - saying it was a joke. What all this makes clear is that the concerns which now threaten the integrity of our government were well known and played for cynical theater. Well the curtain may be coming down on this act of this tragedy. New actors wait to take the stage for a drama for which the script is yet to be written.

Just saying a quick hello before heading back to the hospital. So much happening in the news it's hard to keep track and I get it in bits and pieces. Miss our daily chats!

In just over 8 months, we spent $4,300.00 on our sick kitty. Sending healing vibes and hoping your Boo Boo gets well real soon - hang in there.
