This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7" and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Good morning CATs! Yes, snow on May 18th - ugh! The roads to work were bad and I'm going to leave here by noon to miss the idiots on the road heading home this afternoon. Plus, we are supposed to get 1-3 feet by Friday in the foothills where I live. All the trees in the neighborhood are just barely leafing out, but they were all hanging low in this heavy, concrete-like white. The lights were already flickering this morning (I'll have to get DH to bring the solar trailer up by the house so we have power). At least the young dogs enjoy it...the old dog has a little trouble when it gets deeper but he gets a little spunky as well.
I need to get on the boards more often as well. I know this time of year with the audit is always stretched thin for me – and my scale and tight pants confirm it. But if I made more time to visit the boards, perhaps it would be easier to stay on track. I went but did not weigh in at yesterday’s meeting. I have renewed optimism to get back on that wagon (again)…just hope I can keep that motivation through the weekend when it seems it usually wanes the most.
Frieda – Sorry I’m such a lazy butt in the BD tracking!! Maybe if I show up on the boards here, I would get more motivation from you all?
PKate – I do not miss summertime in MN…mostly, I don't miss the humidity and bugs! Hope you are enjoying your trip to the big city!
MCat – I’ve been sending positive thoughts for your DDad. Hugs to you too!
Susan – here’s hoping DF’s meeting had a positive result!! So much fun, new excitement in your life!!
Colleen – I can’t imagine all the crazy in your life with new job, new town and wedding plans! But how totally exciting with it all – enjoy every moment!!
Shari – I love flipping through FB posts and seeing Mick’s beautiful mug! He’s such a handsome boy!! Hope all is going well with all the changes in your life!!
Better get some work done before I sneak out of here. Auditors are mostly done - at least they are no longer in our office - and we're wrapping up the final items. Thinking of you all!!

Good morning, Andrea, and fellow felines. Getting a good start on today - my first of no "employment". I have a commitment later, and a recital to deliver Sunday..program to produce on paper, my solo to practice, etc. But essentially unemployed. Weird.
Tonight is rehearsal for recital. They drop in during a two-hour time slot to run through their pieces. Not all come. Then I'll drop by DS's volleyball game. He's in leagues 3 nights a week - loves it.
Andrea - snow! Mick would be there loving it w your dogs. He will miss it, and the cool, frisky temps. Be safe in your commutes.
Waves to everyone for a great Thursday. Feels like a Fri to me. Off to college tomorrow for DD's graduation ceremonies. Today, I pack.

Hi Shari and Andrea. Is it only Thursday? I can't believe Andrea is getting snow!!!!
And Shari is on the verge of her big move? It seems like just yesterday DD was starting college. Time flies, kittens.
I need to check in on yesterday after I stopped by, chomping on some chopped kale salad and then a 1 pm.

Hello CATs, Andrea, snow at this time of year is just WRONG! Be safe!!! Shari, first, I can't believe your piano lessons have come to an end and second, I can't believe DD is graduating!!! And then the move... Susan, hope DF's negotiations and closings are going well. Are you a part of the new venture? MCat, glad to hear DDad is home and trying some new methods for coping. Colleen, gosh I can't believe how quickly the time is passing between now and your wedding. Frieda, what's the plan for the girls this summer?
I'm always game for a CATvention.
It's been a productive week for me. I'm being given more freedom to do tasks and projects which feels really good. My direct supervisor is a bit fearful of letting go but I am gradually earning more trust and respect with her.
I am finding my fitness tracker (Garmin) to be really motivational. It has a feature called "intensity minutes" which tracks how much of your exercise time is in the fat burning mode. As I've become more fit I've not increased my workouts, but this week I've really been trying to see what it takes to get into that zone. I think Lynne has also talked about this before. Hopefully watching those intensity minutes add up will help the scale go down.
I too miss seeing everyone post but must admit that I've not been very regular. I have many days where I don't even turn on the home computer because I sit in front of one nearly all day on work days. Then come the weekend and I want to be doing other things. I keep hoping I will find a time of day that I'm ready to chat and not too worn out so that I can be more of a regular presence. Never fear, I do read your posts every day even when I'm not responding.
Don't think I have anything else to share today. I'm going to try to get back here tomorrow to check in with everyone.
