Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today. It was about 60 here yesterday with some showers, now today it's sunny and in the 40s. Weather is so strange Ginny - I'm glad you found the button for your sweater, and I'm happy you were able to visit with family. Ruth - Those hats for the children sound so cute, I bet they will love wearing them this winter. Phyl and Sue - Hello I did some hand quilting yesterday. I'm trying to stitch at least one threaded needle a day for this month. So I stitched three yesterday to catch up and I've already done one today. This morning I made the blocks for the scrappy quilt. I figured out that I could piece 20 nine patch blocks for this since there were 180 pieces. I have all 20 blocks sewn and now I just need to put them all together. Hope you are all getting to do some crafting today. Take care

Happy Sunday Ruth and CJ and those who stop in just to read.
Ruth, sure sounds like you have a good game plan for your Christmas gifts. Did you ever make a hat from camo yarn? I remember that was something you were considering a week or so ago. Its no big deal that you did not get any housework done yesterday- housework is so patient and does wait for you until you are ready to do that. I am glad to hear that you do not have to return to the eye doctor for 6 months. As the drops worked well on the first eye, then I would think it is extremely likely that they will work for the other eye. Good news. My DGS is 7, will be 8 this summer. I figure he is an average kid - not excessively obsessed with himself or worldly. That being said, I cannot see him wearing a dinosaur hat. If you like I can ask him tomorrow if he would. Honestly, I can see him wearing a hat in colors of a sports team that he likes- but his parents watch a fair amount of professional sports. Its a ll personal taste, as you well know.
CJ- are you twitching making the scrappy quilt? Bet it looks so nice!! I wonder if you are getting used to the concept, or are just tolerating it because it uses up fabric scraps. Oh the idea of you doing hand quilting sounds so peaceful and soothing. I forget, what project are you hand quilting? My weather is shadowing yours a bit. One day is warm, the next 15 degrees cooler. I know I am in for rain Tuesday late in the day. And its not supposed to be an excessively cold week for me. I hope its the same for you. Are you purchasing gift cards for your family as gifts this year? I do remember that you did that in the past- but perhaps not last year.
Church this am, and I did get to the grocery store before church for a handful of items. Got a walk in too and am now starting work on the pin cushion for Jane. One thing I can say about this designer, is that her directions are much better than the ornament designer. As I am a bit tired ( did not sleep nearly as well last night) I will probably just cut pieces out but not start sewing for a day or so. I have study tomorrow night, but am honestly doubting that I will go as this is a long week for me. Think I am going to unload the dishwasher and then crochet. That sounds like a good way to spend the evening.
Hi to Sue and Phyl Ginny

CJ, that scrappy quilt you posted the picture of yesterday is so pretty and I'm sure you will find a way to make a pretty one for the one you have plans for with those fabrics you mentioned. I hope you enjoy the process because it sure isn't fun to force yourself to make something you don't like
Ginny, I'm sorry you didn't sleep as well last night.I'm glad the pincushion is going well and that the directions are better. Wow, I can't believe your dgs #1 is 7 already. When I first joined this group he was 1 1/2. I don't know how I remembered that but 18 months old always struck me as a good age for enjoying a baby because they are so cute at that age. Now you dgs #3 is about that age and that's hard to believe too. Time goes by so fast. I've made several hats with camo yarn but I can't remember if I've used that yarn lately. I think maybe it was a scarf that I was going to make with the camo yarn recently but I decided against scarves. Now that you've reminded me I think I'll make a camo hat today for one of my Sunday hats. This morning I worked on a mosaic hat that I started last evening and hope to finish that and the camo hat I just mentioned
See you all tomorrow in the new week
Phyl and Sue, hello to you from me also
