This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7" and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

I have been very remiss about getting here and keeping up with everyone. I've just caught up on the week so far. Martha, are you back home? Thinking of you a good deal, sending hugs. Susan, I'm praying for good results for DF.
Frieda, despite the short-term gain, your healthful practices are shining through in your posts. When are the kids out of school?
I give an exam today, conduct my last cooking class (fun -- we are doing Top Chopped Chefs, a fun duel between the DStus; let's see if they learned anything. I haven't decided which weird ingredient to grab from my pantry and add to their baskets.) I have been working furiously to get big piles of grading done and entered; the light gleams down yonder at the end of the tunnel. DStus are out of the building like bats from under the Congress Ave Bridge at 11:30 (a little ATX humor, there) on Thursday.
Did I mention I am exhausted? Evening events for four nights in a week add to the general weariness. But I have a special plans to visit a friend over Memorial Day Weekend, and that's what's keeping me going.
DS landed a job with the McDonald Observatory in Ft. Davis this summer; his avid amateur astronomy skills have parlayed themselves into a real gig. And they are providing housing on site, too, after all, a recent and very welcome development. He even gets to book time on one of the big scopes. He's over the moon!
Colleen, DD did have a great time in Seattle, and yes, she did start talking about relocating when she's got at least a year of experience under her belt in her current job. But her first choice is priced-for-no-mortals San Francisco.
Shari, I'll be thinking of you as I pack up my classroom today and tomorrow. I'm sorry about the frazzling that dealing with DM's memory lapses incurs. Many of us have experienced the same.
I'd better get a move on.

All is right in the world when you post T. How exciting you are calling this year a wrap. I love that euphoric feeling the day after! Anyhow, when things settle, I hope you are going to put T first now! GTG

I'm losing track of the days. Since I don't look at calendar regularly, I have no idea what day of the week or month it is.
Frieda - (((HUGS)))
I'm still in CA. I'll be here until June 6th. Have plans to get together with college friend and a couple WW board friends. One of the WW friends, I haven't met and have 'known' her for 7-8 yrs. Hoping plans work to meet finally.
After checking in with CATs, emails, etc. I will be studying. No meeting of the minds last night but I was in bed by 9pm. (The usual around here seems to be 11:30) I'm feeling more rested today so know I was correct in heading to bed when I did.
DBIL made his own telescope and was involved in Astronomy Club. Don't know if still involved.
What mystery ingredient was added to the baskets?
Had a half turkey/avocado sandwich for brunch today. I haven't taken over kitchen yet.
Thinking of all. HUGS
