DotRen, re: the kidnapping in Mexico (and an eye witness confirms it was indeed a kidnapping), 2 Americans are dead, 2 have returned to the U.S., one injured, the other unharmed. One of the Americans was traveling for cosmetic surgery (tummy tuck) in Matamoros.

I really don't understand the uproar about government employees not having tiktok on their work phones.
Unless their job has to do with them being on social media -of any kind - it's a WORK phone and no personal apps should be on them.

I haven’t kept up with the TikTok on government phones thing but I can’t download barely anything on my work phone. Especially with my last company since we had to follow federal government rules as a contractor with federal banks. I just use my personal phone for any personal apps I want. So doesn’t seem like a big deal to restrict social media apps from a work issued phone unless you need certain apps consistent with your job duties.

I was thinking the same thing. I will always hate his packing of the courts with right-wing judges, but compared to the crazies currently serving in the GOP congress, he's necessary. On Wed., supposedly to mark Int'l Women's Day, McCarthy appointed MTG Speaker Pro Tempore. It was unclear to me whether she merely gaveled open the session or served the entire day. Giving me chills, either way. |
