I'll join the club.
I finally got on the scale today and am up about 8 pounds from a few weeks ago. I had actually lost a little weight following gum surgery but gained it back plus more.
Just general overeating, not tracking, and being out of my normal routine because I'm off this week. Plus going out to eat, various leftovers (cheese and cookies!) and the scale goes up real fast! And yeah, #3 because I have that all-or-nothing mentality.
I'm looking forwArd to January when I go back to work.

So what are WE going to do about it??? Seriously I need a kick in the butt! Start another group thread for January? Join an existing group? Holiday Bingers Repent??? First thing I'm going to do, starting in January, is another sugar detox. For me, sugar is the trigger for most of the overeating I do. Then, I'm going to stick to the Eat Fat, Get Thin way of eating. It's pretty much like the Mediterranean diet and deals with fats as a healthy, satiating part of the diet. I just need to plot out the meals that I know I'm going to enjoy eating and make sure I'm stocked up and prepared for it. But first, the sugar detox, which will probably take me into mid January. I'm ready to get back to feeling better and losing the holiday weight.

I use Loseit now but I am a really long time WW member. I'd still be one except SP was not for me. I gained 6.6 lbs between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm actually happy it wasn't way worse. I started back on track 100% on Tuesday and it makes me happy to know that I can enjoy a season and then have the mindset that i'll just pick up where I left off. I have no guilt at all. I did the best I could for as long as I could but life is just too short to live it without holiday treats (for me). I lost 30 lbs since last May and I have about 20 more to go and I'll get there. Slow and steady. For me calorie counting is really a sustainable lifestyle because you truly can fit anything in in moderation.

For me I need to get back to planning, tracking, and stop shoveling random treats every time I walk by something in the office.

Today I gave myself reason to get back on plan. Bought my proper size clothes today. Finally. I've still been wearing things loose, so I got things in my actual size (4 pants, small/ medium tops). And I like that size. I want to stay there, or go smaller. Back to work!

The thing that helps me is that Saturday is the start of my new Weight Watchers week and Sunday being a new year helps as well. In a way it is silly that it being a new week (or year!) helps, but it does. It is a kind of clean slate. And, having leftovers finally gone really helps as well.

Just peeked over at your blog and saw your "Tuesday". LOL I admire you for doing the tracking. Mine would look similar but I just chickened out and didn't track it. But the scale let me know that I certainly "overdid". And YES! it was all about the COOKIES!! LOL (so far today I have not listened to the cookies calling me! I can't really get rid of them all due to my husband's whining...although am considering getting rid of said husband...) Everything resets for me tomorrow so it will be a new beginning as well as a new year!!

Fin, I am fun-sized like you and can easily gain 10-12 lbs in an unimaginabaly short time. It spirals out of hand very quickly.
I am up a bit. last month I had to pay. My pants are slightly tighter now after a spur of the moment trip to Fla. MY nephew & his wife had lots of junk food. I am just going to journal and persist. Will wait to WI at the end of January.
I have not sorted it all in my head. But, for me, the spark fueling less healthy food choices is emotion. Rather than feel the feeling, I try to detach. That message of "don't care" gets prevented in my head, and becomes a license to add food that I usually pass on or eat as a one & done deal.
Like I said, I don't have this all sorted, but I think the crux is that I get overwhelmed & exhausted, and maybe I even tell myself that I don't have the energy to -- fill in the blank. It's like receiving a blank check.
Good luck everyone!

Hi all, This new board keeps giving me password issues but I was finally able to get in : -)
The holidays were very stressful for me with family stuff and being off from work for 2 weeks (work keeps me focused on plan). Luckily for me was not that hungry because my stomach was in turmoil. Somehow over the Holidays I managed to lose 3# even though I made 5 different types and dozens of cookies and fudge to give out to family and friends. I guess after making all those sweets I couldn't even eat them. I also decided to stop baking all the time (I love to bake but live alone- very dangerous) I guess I was already getting my game plan in my head to not gain over the holidays and so far this year I have been making healthier night choices. I look a lot in the cabinets and fridge but don't have much in there. I have good intentions everyday : -) and do great at work but at night its rough..so far so good!
Happy New year all!
