This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7" and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.
GM CATS! I wanted to start the thread for us this weekend! I'm doing a 3 day thread, as historically we are lighter on the weekends. I hope you are all busy making fun plans. Tell me about them, will you? I will head out to yoga shortly. Then taking the youngest to the fair and rides for a couple of hours. I really need to get flowers bought and planted this weekend. I am going to see if Costco still has some ready made ones. They had beautiful plants at Mothers Day, but I wasn't ready to buy. My outdoor gas grill was fixed yesterday (just clogged pipes). So I can finally grill! I was getting tired of baked things. That about wraps it up.
There sounds like a delightful movie at our Art House called The Wedding Plan. I'd like to see that next weekend. My eating has been less than stellar. I need to do some soul searching, or better yet, I should go to the store and try on bathing suits. That should shock me into action.
Sending prayers and loving thoughts to our cats that need it at this time.
Frieda - glad your grill was a easy fix. I'm hoping DH has cleaned up ours. Hope you and DD enjoyed the fair, minus the food.
All of us has been the roller coaster recently. When we are turning and twisting, it is easy to make the less than stellar choices in our food. Let's all try to slow down our respective roller coasters and make better choices.
My plans for the weekend are: whatever DS and family have going on. (I have to ask what is on the agenda as my mental telepathy doesn't work here). DS is in San Bernardino for a funeral this morning, have Church on Sunday and then she works on Monday.
I am meeting up with a college friend Monday night. Going to San Diego to spend time with her. Hoping to meet up with a couple WW online friends and former coworker, they know I'm here but nothing has been set up.
Here's to remembering the reason for this holiday.
Hi Friends, checking in. Not sure if you CaTs writing on this board know things have started up in the CaT clubhouse as a place to dailychat. I have no time to be here but wanted to say hi. Packing is in full swing and going reasonably well, near as I can tell.
We went to final church service today - farewell for us and cake, DH had two pieces for us. I make up for my good choice with ice cream later, I predict. Sorry to leave that church we have long been a happy part of and continue to love.
Had to take DD to urgent care yesterday - has vertigo from a virus and all the unpleasant accompanying symptoms. Now I am seeing close-up the vertigo T (and someone else) had described. She feels awful. Fortunately didn't drive here. Doc said vertigo may not resolve as virus passes, may need PT.
Off to meet more challenges of the day, and fill molto boxes. Loving thoughts to all, especially MCat, Susan (hard to wait for news on the DF issue), Martha, and any others with issues in the air. Hugs all around.
