Hello Crafters - Hope you are all doing well today Ginny - Glad to hear you are getting in some embroidery each day. Ruth - Hope the new hat is going well. I always thought the crocheted booties were a little rough too, I'm sure knitted ones are smoother. Phyl - Glad you had a good trip and made it back safely. Meg - Hope you are doing well today. The next to the last quilt block for the Solstice quilt is out today. I picked out my fabrics so I hope to get it done by the weekend. Take care everyone!

CJ, it looks like you're here all alone today. It's great that you have the fabric picked out for this week's block...only one more to go! After that does everyone post their completed quilt when it's done?
As for the hat, I had to rip it all out. I'll start over soon
Had my US done. It wasn't bad even though they also did a transvaginal one. Now waiting for results. The tech is, of course not allowed to tell you anything but I did see some images on her screen marked with a red x. Hopefully it's something easily fixed. I followed Ginny's advice and hummed hymns to myself while it was being done. The tech that did it is pregnant with twin girls and is to deliver at the end of June.
After I was finished there I treated myself to a spicy chicken sandwich at Wendy's. It was expensive but they give you a gigantic piece of chicken and it was good. I took the chicken, tomato and lettuce out of the bun. I love fast food.I then stopped and did a little grocery shopping and then went to the dollar store for a couple things. All that prodding and walking has stirred things up some but what can you do.
Hello to Ginny, Meg, and Phyl. I'm glad you had a good holiday weekend Phyl and got home safely from your trip

hi, today was bumin day. we did our mac's breakfast and then the y and then bummed for awhile. we went to hobby lobby and joann's. I didn't buy anything.
I have two projects in mind. they are small wall hangings. one isthe runaway quilt. the other is tighten the tension. you can google those. they are sorta a like but yet different. the tension none is the designer who started it. from what she told me the other one is not hers. someone teaked it. the tighten the tension pattern came yesterday.
I showed theesa the solice and the tension websites. she said she doesn't have time to sit and go on the web to find these places. I told her somone usually talks about a website then I look it up if interested. phyl

Super busy day for me, as I had to work Buster....and then at the end of my normal day found out that Dd was moving a lot of their stuff tonight. So I went to help out- and will most likely go back tomorrow night to clean the house for her.
CJ- glad you got your fabric lined up for the last block.
Ruth- so glad to hear that you made it thru the sono ok. Those transvaginal sonos are "interesting"- but do show a different view of things. Which hymns did you sing to yourself? (It sure does take your mind off the procedure!). Praying for good results.
Phyl- how cool that you have your next projects lined up! Hope you enjoyed your bumming day.
Meg, hope all is well with you.
I am tired. See you tomorrow Ginny

Hello Ginny and Phyl and also CJ and Meg.
Phyl, well at least you have the pattern and you have ideas of what fabric you want to use. When Hancock Fabric was here they had Christmas Fabric all year but I don't know if it was the fabric you would want to use for quilts.
Ginny, it sure does sound like a busy day. I've been praying for their move to go well. Yes the transvag one was a surprise to me. I wonder if it's protocol to go ahead and do that one if the "regular" one shows something. I'm sure I'll find out sometime. I have to call them about their patient portal. They haven't added anything to it since Dec and still don't have our Nov blood test results in it. We have paper copies but they're supposed to be in the portal.Nothing about my visit the other day
I didn't do any crafting yesterday. I was just too tired so read instead.
I hope you all have a great day and that it's relaxing and enjoyable

Hello Crafters - Hope you are all doing well today Ruth - I'm glad you are done with the US and hope you are feeling a little better today. I love fast food too, your sandwich sounded good Ginny - Hope everything goes well with the move for you DD. Phyl - It's nice to start thinking about new projects, isn't it? That Tighten the Tension quilt pattern looks cute. Meg - Hope you are doing well. I went to an Amish Market this morning, and bought a little more food than I should have - but not nearly as much as I would during the days my eating was out of control. I actually can fit what I bought into eating over the next few days and stay on track. These are the skills I really want to master so I can always control my eating in the future. No crafting for me today but tomorrow I'm going to a really big quilt show. Lots of vendors and quilts to see. I already have my shopping list ready for things that are hard to find at local stores. My sister-in-law will go with me and I'm sure we'll have fun. Take care everyone!

Good morning Ginny, Ruth, Phyl & cj,
It has been a busy morning so far. I took Devin to school and then came home and went back again. The 3rd graders are giving a program today that they have been working on for weeks. Devin is in 3rd grade so of course I had to go. It was excellent. there were 2 3rd grade classes and they sang a lot of the old American songs they were dressed in white t shirts and jeans with straw hats. They are giving 3 performances today. They will give another performance this afternoon and this evening. I chose to go this mornings and there were not as many parents there. This morning performance was mostly for children from other classes.
Now I am home and have a little time before I go to my knit wits gp. I am just starting a b/blanket with yarn I need to use up. I am doing rows of granny stitch which is just the stitch you use for granny squares.
Ginny, you are having a busy day going to work and helping your DS and DDIL move. I hope you don't get too tired. Have fun with your DGchildren.
cj, I hope you enjoy the quilt show and that you find some items to buy that you can't find closer to home.
Phyl, your temps. sound good enjoy. I think our high will be 90 today.
Now I must get myself ready for knit wits. I will try and check back later. Have a great day.

Hello all. We ended up taking a trip to the local home improvement store as dh needed wheels for his makeshift desk chair. Our desk chairs never seem to last so he's making his own. Also went to a grocery store. While we were out the doctor I saw the other day that ordered the tests called back with test results. I don't know why they don't just leave them on your phone. As cheery as she sounded it seems like test must have turned out ok but I called her back and of course had to leave a msg for her...phone tag. So now I'm waiting. Dh is working on his chair downstairs and I'm going to be crocheting in a minute. I need to find some yarn I kinda tossed into my craft room the ohter day but I have the other two I got out for a new project. The ones I'm looking for is for a project dd seems to want me to make.
PHyl, I used to buy magazines years ago related to crafts but not in some time since you can find most things online. Last one I bought was a beading magazine that had a nice pattern for a beaded scarf that I intended to make for my bff. I bought the materials but then my bff passed away. I don't think I have the magazine anymore. Strange thing is that the woman that told me about the pattern also passed away.
ok I'm going to look for the other yarn now. I'll take my phone so that I don't miss it if this doctor calls back.

A long day for me, but a pretty good one.
Ruth, hope that the doctor got your test results to you and that they were good. I think the transvaginal sono is routine now for some exams, it does give them a more complete picture. Hope you are more comfortable also.
CJ- how was the quilt show? And yes, those Amish markets have LOTS of good stuff....congrats on behaving yourself.
Phyl- did you make it all the way through those quilting mags?
Meg, Devins class performance must have made you proud- glad you got to see it! How was knit wits?
THink the move is going well- I have been busy with the grandkids and have not gotten to the house. THe kids have been very good for me.
THis tired woman is going to bed. Night! Ginny
