Good morning everyone!
I had to really laugh out loud at the video Pat/PBnJ posted last night. Tweety looks absolutely ridiculous. The man is incapable of showing dignity.
After criticism, JA did post a twitter response about the Oregon stabbing; BUT, it came under the POTUS account rather than his personal account AND it was posted at the time JA was entering Arlington cemetery which makes it very unlikely that it actually came from him. Most likely it came from a staffer once again trying to clean up for him. For anyone who is actually a public servant, working under this administration must be excruciating. Of course, I doubt there are any actual public servants anywhere close to the West Wing unless it's a clerical person or the janitor.
So what do you think? Will we see a shake-up in the WH staff this week? It seems Corey Lewandowski was there yesterday. I could see Tweety hiring him back in some capacity. He is definitely JA "quality".

Good Morning Ladies...😊
Joyce I think the other day you said something to the effect that you were always full of hope that good will prevail in the end with this political mess. Gosh, please send me some of that hope. I think for the first time I really feel depressed ( more than usual) & just thinking JA & his family & cohorts are going to win in the end, The total refusal of those GOP politicians to even consider the fact that any of this is true is just mind boggling to me. They still are blaming Hilary, Obama, Dem. Party ..WTH! ....I read on FB the other day, JA should build that wall he wants so badly with Hilary's emails, because he & his supporters can't get over it ...LOL...But seriously, everyday it's something & everyday the WH attacks & deflects & his supporters buy into it all, no questions asked. There are so many putting their own reputations on the line for this liar in the Oval Office. WHY?...Power & Greed so addicting that they risk everything to defend a President who will eat them alive should the need arise. Just really depressing!

The reason the White House Communications Director stated for resigning was "personal reasons." Yeah, having morals and integrity would be considered personal reasons lol.

.I read on FB the other day, JA should build that wall he wants so badly with Hilary's emails, because he & his supporters can't get over it That is funny, Linda! Picturing that wall with JA trying to climb over it now. As for hope, I'm putting a big box full on the UPS truck for you right now. I admit that it is looking grim, but I just have to believe that eventually these people will get what they deserve, or at least get kicked out of the WH. I do get disgusted with these Rs, however, who refuse to even question that all this smoke is coming from an inferno. As for Graham and McCain, don't even get me started. They are so wishy-washy it's not even funny. They come down on whichever side seems to be strongest at the moment, and as for being a maverick that's a laugh. No way are they going to buck the party unless they can see some specific self-interest benefit in doing so. Heard some rumors that Tweety is not very happy with Jared right now. That won't last, however. Though I do absolutely believe that Tweety won't hesitate to throw Jared to the wolves if he feels it is in his own best interest to do so. He demands loyalty from everyone around him, but I don't believe that he has any loyalty to anyone. Certainly he doesn't have any loyalty towards our country or the American people. The Rs in Congress are just trying to protect their own self-interests. The ones who bother me the most are the idiots out there who voted for this abomination, don't listen to any news, and just go on believing in the unbelievable. Read an article this morning that interviewed some of those very supporters. It would have been laughable were it not true. Everything each one said about why they are supporting him is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what he is actually proposing to do. So clearly these people have no idea of what is going on in the news--not even the news on Fox. They're just living in a dream world, and what it really boils down to is that they actually don't support him but just hated Hillary. I'd say they are getting exactly what they deserve, but I hate to see anyone hurt by this JA even when they voted for him.

Dan Rather 1 hr · President Barack Obama was mercilessly ridiculed by Republicans for his supposed strategy of "leading from behind." There is a lot of legitimate criticism with which one can debate President Obama's tenure in office, particularly his foreign policy. There are strong arguments to be made for and against his efforts and ultimately history will have to help us sort it out. But as I watched President Trump stumble his way through his recent trip through Europe, I couldn't help but think how hypocritical and hollow those criticisms were. Leading from behind? Tell that to the climate which President Trump and his GOP allies seem determined to pollute when almost every other nation on Earth is leading in the opposite direction. (Recent news shows how India is turning from coal to renewables, and China as well) Leading from behind? As Mr. Trump cozies up to Vladimir Putin it is up to France's new president Emmanuel Macron to lay out the case for democracy and human rights, you know the kind of speeches that President Reagan used to make. Leading from behind? Our friends in Europe used to respect the United States and join us in strengthening a world order. Now Germany's chancellor Angela Merkel says Germany can't trust us. And why should she? Most of Europe agrees with her. Mr. Trump is praising murderous despots like Rodrigo Duterte, the President of the Philippines, and literally pushing his way past the leaders of Europe as he preens on the world stage. Our enemies and allies are taking the mark of a man for whom they have little respect. So far, most of Mr. Trump's allies in Congress seem to fiddle as our foreign policy burns. Whatever you thought of the president of the United States in previous administrations, there was no doubt that he was the leader of the free world. But today there is a serious vacuum coming out of Washington - on both the leadership and the free world part. The world is rushing to figure out what this means. I think new leaders will rise in response to the challenge, both here and overseas. In the meantime we spin the wheel of fate without a moral or strategic compass guiding our ship of state.

Looking at the world stage two things have made me hopeful, Trudeau and Macron. When the old guard in Europe retires, hopefully these men will be strong enough to become leaders of the Free World. Right now I see no one in either party up and coming in this country. Not being negative, just the way I see it. If someone is out there don't hide your light under a bushel. Please!!!!!!!!!! Now for fun stuff, one of my closest friends (she is like a sister to me, better even then) is having a bday at the end of the month. We always exchange bday gifts but I am running out of ideas. So far I have gotten her a big floppy sun hat and a package of false eyelashes, will probably do a book on tape,.......but any other suggestions? ? I love to buy her things she would not buy herself.

So very true, and so very sad.

I vote for a pedicure gift certificate. Toes are always showing in the summer (year round here lol)

hnybny91 , I like the pedicure gift certificate idea! ------------- Speaking of pedicures I know some people who could probably use one of those gift certificates. They have their heads buried so deeply in the sand that surely their toes must be waving around in the air. Any friend of Anne's, of course, would not fall into that category. Going to the bench in case any of you want to join me.

Completely off topic, but do any of you watch Grace & Frankie on Netflix? I've started watching and gotten hooked on that show. Excellent cast with Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Martin Sheen & Sam Waterston. They always have good guest appearances as well such as Sam Elliot.

I think I watched a couple episodes of Grace & Frankie when it first came out, must have got sidetracked & didn't think of it again until now. I will have to go recheck it out. I can't remember if I liked it or not...LOL
Ooooooooh, Spicer got boo'd today by the Press Corp...as well he should. He needs to quit & save his soul instead of lying for a pampered baby who doesn't appreciate him. After deliberately not letting Spicer have an audience with the Pope out of pure pettiness, Spice should have quit & hitched a ride back to the states!
