Just saw where CNN fired Kathy Griffin. Serves her right! Glad they chose to do that.

As she should get fired! What she did reflects back on everybody & everything she is associated with & not in a good way. I'm sure she is going to pay a high price for that despicable picture. JA said it greatly affected Barron. Well, I for one do not think for one minute Barron saw that picture & I certainly could be wrong, but with all the negative news out there about his Dad, I think he is pretty sheltered as to what he can & cannot see. He looks like such a lonely kid to me. If he did not see that picture & JA knows that, then JA is using his kid to garner sympathy. Wrong in my book. Either way, it was totally wrong for Griffin to do what she did & what comes down, it's on her!

True, I hope Barron didn't see that picture and that he is sheltered from all the negativity surrounding his father. Very likely he is, but some must seep through even with the tightest controls. It must be very hard growing up with a parent who is the President, even if the parent was a good President. Unfortunately we know that's not the case here.
I'm glad to see Kathy Griffin getting her just punishment for her actions, but what really steams me is the posts I am seeing on FB condemning liberals in general for Griffin's repulsive actions. Whatever happened to condemning such things together as a nation instead of trying to use such a disgusting action simply as an excuse to tar and feather people who disagree with your political stances but who had absolutely nothing to do with the action in question? Geez! Have we completely forgotten the concept of personal responsibility?

Buh bye Kathy Griffin! Won't miss you one bit. Her not knowing that the picture would create this much backlash is like Trump not knowing (or so he says) that firing Comey would cause such an uproar.

Kathy Griffin's picture was gross, disgusting and vile. Worse it paints a picture that all liberals/progressives/(i.e. SANE ) people are all like that while probably 99% of them have condemned it (included Keith Olbermann and usually he is way out there).
But where was the opposing disgust/outrage with Ted Nugent's remarks about killing and even decapitating Obama and then Trump later inviting him to visit the WH?
Neither is right nor should be condoned.
I certainly have wished ill on this ugly so-called president in the privacy of my mind, home and with friends but not as a public figure with vile portraiture . Freedom of speech can be carried to an extreme.

Totally agree with you, pbnj...Yes, Ted Nugent among others said some very vile things about Hilary & Libs. He did get an invite to the WH. I see he is thinking of running for office, not sure what, tho. UGH!

You know, Joyce, the things in Life that most all of these hard core Lib Bashers enjoy, ONLY benefit from them because it was Liberals who pushed for the right to have most of these things laws ...now JA is trying to take away so many common sense laws, regulations, etc. And who will they blame when they realize this & it impacts their life, the Libs of course...LOL

What Kathy Griffin did was stand alone wrong and disgusting PERIOD! I don't care what the Republicans say about it, we can censor our own. Would that they could do that as well.

But where was the opposing disgust/outrage with Ted Nugent's remarks about killing and even decapitating Obama and then Trump later inviting him to visit the WH? Exactly! It's an outrage if a liberal does it (as it well should be) but it is freedom of speech if a Republican does it - and you might even get a personal WH tour

Remind me here, what religion did the right accuse Obama of being a member of? What is the religion of Saudi Arabia? What family was flown out of our country the day after 9/11? (BTW when is Bush and Cheney scheduled for their trial at the Hague
Our JA in Chief president is certainly following the script from the KGB, no? it’s as if Pootie were in the oval office telling him to doubt our government, institutions, and the press. Bizarro world. NATO is our enemy, while Pootie, Duterte, Assad, and Un are “strong leaders” he’s praised. Let’s not forget Saddam. First foreign country to visit: Saudi Arabia, the one that provided most of the 911 terrorists. One only hopes the FBI, CIA and the PRESS effectively out all the corruption and illegal activities especially of the inner circle. Hope to see all of them end up in prison.

"But where was the opposing disgust/outrage with Ted Nugent's remarks about killing and even decapitating Obama and then Trump later inviting him to visit the WH?"
That's because Lib's are "wimpy, bleeding heart snowflakes." Who'd expect such horrifying behavior from one of them? Reps/Cons on the other hand are "vulgar, hateful, angry, disgusting, deplorables." It's who they are. We take the high road. That's why it hurts more when we fall/fail because we're so high up. When the Far Right Conservatives fall/fail it's nothing more than a little bump in the road because they're already down in the gutter.
When President Obama was elected there were mock lynchings. The N word became popular again and so did the KKK. I remember it because it's etched in my memory. But it was 'those folks' and we understood why they were so upset. What did we expect? Well, now 'those folks' are running/ruining the country as well as the rest of the world.
I'm sorry Kathy Griffin did what she did because now the media will be all over this instead of staying focused on all the real crimes the JA has done and will continue to do.
I know most people are PO'd with her and only see her outrageous side. I understand her rage.
IMHO, of course.

Thank you, Anne. That quote is from one of my all time favorite books.
BTW, I'm not sure how many times but Kathy Griffin has visited and performed for the Troops without too much press. I know a lot of people don't like her. My Joyce doesn't like her but I do.

I never cared for Griffin as an entertainer. Hated that she was in Times Sq for the N.Y. Eve Show. Always turned the sound off till the ball started to come down.

Came here to check in and Anderson Cooper is reporting that Sessions had another meeting w/ Kislyak in April 2016 at the Mayflower hotel when Trump was giving a speech. How do you forget this stuff? It's not like it was years and years ago. I hope he goes down as well because he is a slime ball snake too.
