Good morning
cj59 I think you have a good plan in mind! Let us know how the scaling back works.
wwlurker WTG with the scale being down. Hope everyone heals from their cold soon
Attended my WW meeting this morning. I stayed the same which I was okay with. I will work on my tracking this week.

Hello Everyone wwlurker - I hope your cold gets over soon. That's good to hear the scale was down sunrose - Good for you staying the same, that's always better than gaining I didn't cut back much on my activity yesterday, but did today. My steps are down a bit both days too. I do have to fight the need to get the steps up though, it's weird how you can get obsessed with that. Maybe that's a downside to a FitBit, the way you get so attached to it and your steps. Hope everyone else checking in is doing well

Good morning everyone! Today was WI and I was down 1.4, which is pretty good, but still not down as far as I was before the weekend . Had a great talk with my nutrition consultant today and got some clarity around snacks - I do well with rules, so now I know that my snacks are to be: 1 fruit, 1 veggie and 1 fat/protein, with 2 "treats" per week (i.e. larabars, healthy frozen fruit bars, dark chocolate, healthy veggie chips, etc.). I think that makes it easier to stick to. sunrose49 - way to go on the STS. I'm always happy to hold firm when I know I haven't been doing my best. cj59 - It's hard not to be compulsive with the steps - I wear a fitbit and I'm always a bit lost when I forget it for the day. I usually only clock in around 7-8k steps, unless I go to the gym. But, I work in an office, so that's not bad all things considered. I park my car about a 7 minute walk from my office, and my office is quite large, so I get steps in with all the bathroom breaks I have to take from drinking obscene amounts of water (I aim for 3L of liquids a day, at least 2L of clear water). I think I'm more active than the average office worker. I'm going to try to get a few solid days under my belt before we go away for the weekend. I'm hoping to stay on track while we're away, but there will definitely be some challenges - we are going to a small resort town and there are lots of yummy choices. I always buy fudge while we're there and I'm not willing to give that up, so I'm trying to look at that as my "treat" of the weekend. We'll also do lots of walking and spend lots of time swimming, so I'm hoping it will all balance out! Hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Good morning
cj59 how many steps do you average a day? I try to get 10K in daily (takes me all day to do it). I know what you mean about being tied to the fitbit.
wwlurker WTG with the loss!! Sounds like a fun weekend coming up and good for you still getting the fudge. Life should be enjoyed and all the activity you will be getting in is awesome.
I'm headed to the TM for a few minutes and then I will do a Beach Body DVD (cardio). ;-)

Hello Everyone wwlurker - Congratulations on the weight loss and also in getting a list of snacks so you can know what you are allowed on your plan. That always helps me too, to have foods I know I can have and that limits the choices. You sound like you are in a good frame of mind to tackle the weekend temptations. I have a great recipe for Fantasy Fudge that I always used to make at Christmas each year. It's been a few years since I made it since I didn't trust myself to have it in the house sunrose - Hope you enjoyed your exercise/activity today. For my FitBit steps my personal daily goal is 15,000, but I try to get over 17,000. When I get obsessive about it I feel like I haven't had a good day if I don't get at least 20,000 steps!! So you can see I'm a little out of whack with this. I have been fighting the need to overeat/binge. And it made me wonder if that feeling will ever go away. I can go days without feeling it, but then I have a day where I have to fight it so bad. I sure hope as time goes on I will get those feelings less and less. It's really tiring fighting them. Take care everyone!

Good morning
cj59 that is a lot of steps. I try for 10K and when I'm doing a fitbit challenge I strive for more. But I do understand how it can get out of whack. Keep taking it a day at a time with the urge to overeat. Hopefully it will get better with time. Do you notice any difference since you lost the weight vs. before?
wwlurker hope you are doing good.
I had a great workout yesterday. I'm trying to follow Chalene Extreme. There is a 4 week program and I am on week 2 (should be further along, but my company got me all off track).

Good morning everyone! cj59 and sunrose49 - you two put me to shame with your steps. Of course, after writing about how much I hate forgetting my fitbit the other day, I forgot to wear it today. Ugh. I'm doing fairly well. I'm trying to just keep on and not think too much about it. This is how I'm going to live forever, so I need to just make it part of my life and stop obsessing over it, I think. Hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Hello Everyone sunrose - I looked up that challenge you're doing, it looks like it's good for building muscle - I hopeyou are liking it. While I was losing weight it was very easy not to overeat, I was so motivated to see the number go down on the scale. But now that my goal is just to stay the same, I have to fight the feeling of getting too relaxed and wanting to eat the way I used to. Also, without eating, and being heavier, to mask a lot of emotions and feelings I didn't want to deal with, they are all coming to the surface and it's really difficult not to go to food to avoid dealing with them. wwlurker - You have the right attitude about making it a part of your life. I knew this time when I lost the weight it wasn't about just getting it done, it was about changing how I eat for the rest of my life. When I was working I was lucky to get in 3000 steps a day, it's only easier now that I've lost weight and I'm home most days I'm doing pretty well today. I did my grocery shopping and managed to avoid most of the bad foods. I did buy some chocolate candy, because I'd been craving it. Hopefully I can portion it out.

Good morning
wwlurker you do have the right attitude on making this part of your life--for life. I hope you have a good weekend away.
cj59 it is hard to not eat your emotions away. I never use to be an emotional eater until after my divorce. I have gained over 60 pounds. Ugh
Going to work on steps and a dvd workout today.

Good morning everyone! sunrose49 - It's a process; sometimes I do better than others. Last night I had frozen yogurt for dinner! Not the best choice, but at least it was just that; I didn't continue to eat terribly all evening. cj59 - I hope you have a great weekend and are able to portion out your treats as planned! Today I am working from home in the morning - we are leaving this afternoon and going into the office will just eat time away from my productive hours. I hope everyone has a great, OP weekend!

Hello Everyone
sunrose - Hope you enjoyed your workout. I've been eating my emotions since I was a child, it's a hard habit to break.
wwlurker - Hope you enjoy the weekend. Good for you being able to not overeat last night.
I'm doing alright today. I've been doing a little grazing and snacking and I really have to watch that because it can lead to a lot of overeating. I have scaled back the exercise intensity a litte bit and with the heat that's been nice.
I've already planned what I'll get for lunch tomorrow (it's a monthly luncheon I go to), and I feel pretty strong about my choice. I would like to get an ice cream afterwards, but I'll see how I feel after eating lunch. I may be able to pass on it. I do have the weekly points to use in case I do decide to get some ice cream.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are enjoying your weekend I didn't feel like posting yesterday in any of the threads I post, so I gave myself a break from it. Looks like we were all doing the same thing I'm still working at staying on track and trying not to eat my emotions. I'm going to have to figure out a way to deal with them and work through them without using food. I know that doing that will just send me backwards and cause new problems. But I really miss that feeling of eating comforting foods and feeling good. I've been somewhat successful at cutting back on the exercise and steps, but still feel the need to get in as much as I can. I was thinking today that maybe it's really not a bad thing. On days when I feel really energetic I need to take advantage of that and get in the exercise and steps I can. Then maybe on the days when it's more of a struggle I can cut back.

wwlurker hope you are having fun this weekend.
cj59 I sometimes need a break too. I have been keeping my neighbor's dog this weekend. I had to spend Friday/Saturday night at their house (didn't sleep well). I did good eating, but yesterday at lunch and last night was not the best. I have to say I had a good time though. Didn't totally over due it, but sometimes life just needs to be enjoyed.
cj59 I am sorry you have had to deal with your eating emotions for so long. I guess I have too most of my adult life, but in the opposite direction. Until my divorce I pretty much stayed in control. So hard to deal with sometimes. Hang in there!

Good morning everyone! I had a great weekend, but I did overindulge quite a bit. The scale was up to a scary number this morning. Today the focus will be on water to flush out all of the stuff I ate this weekend. I'm hoping that a good portion of the extra weight is just fluid retention. sunrose49 - sounds like you had a good weekend. cj59 - as you know, I almost never post on the weekends - it's hard for me to find a moment to myself on weekends! Hope everyone has a great, OP day!

wwlurker sounds like you had a good weekend. That weight will come off. I remember when my kids were young it is hard to have a few moments alone.
ck59 hope you are doing good this morning.
Off to workout. ;-)
