Hello Everyone sunrose - Hope you got some sleep last night if you were back at your own home. Did you enjoy the company of the dog? I often think about getting one again, but then I remember all the time commitment and work and decide I don't want that again wwlurker - Glad you had a good weekend. I'm sure the water will flush a lot of that weight out, there is so much sodium in foods. I rarely add salt to anything anymore since I know the ingredients usually have enough sodium. I had my weigh-in today and lost the weight I'd gained the week before, so I was happy about that. Just working to stay on track. I don't have any challenges this week, at least so far, so it should be a good week that I hope I can stay on program during. Hope anyone else reading here will post and let us know how you are doing

Good morning everyone! Just checking in quickly today. I was still off my plan yesterday, which is disappointing. Today we are getting meal delivery (like blue apron). I'm pretty excited! sunrose49 - Hope you are doing well. cj59 - good for you for losing that extra weight - you seem to be handling maintenance like a pro. Hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Good morning everyone! Today was WI and I was up 2.8. I was expecting it but it was still disappointing. I'm moving on and trying to reset for the long weekend. We don't have any special plans, so I'm hoping that sticking to the program will be a bit easier. cj59 - we're using hellofresh. We get a veggie box. Last night was lentil bolognese. It was fantastic. The only issue with these boxes is that sometimes it's hard to avoid the carb, which I'm not supposed to eat at night. Last night, I just ate the pasta, but in retrospect, I could have prepped some zucchini noodles. I'm going to take a look at the menus and see what I can do to de-carb them! DH liked it so much, we've decided to keep it every week for now. There was plenty of food for the family and even some left overs even though the meal was only for 2 (we made extra pasta to take with the leftover sauce in our lunches today). sunrose49 - hope you are able to keep up with your activity and try to get the tracking in. Hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are doing well today wwlurker - Those dinners sound interesting and I'm sure it's nice for you to have the ingredients for a meal ready for you once a week. I'm sorry to hear about the gain, but at least you were prepared for it and sound like you're already working towards getting it back off. Hope the weekend goes well for you. I'm doing alright today, had some urges to overeat but I've managed to not listen to them. I did go grocery shopping today and bought a few things that I probably shouldn't have in the house. I'll have to see how I deal with them and if I can't, I'll throw them out. These things I talk about are always junk food and I don't fee bad about throwing those things in the trash. Probably nobody should be eating them anyway

Good morning everyone! cj59 - I hope that you are able to continue to manage the urge to overeat and can be moderate with the treats you bought. This morning I was down more than 3 lbs on my scale; back to where I was before the weekend. Funny how one day of being OP can reset the system like that! I think that it's the water - I drank 3l yesterday and I think that flushed out all of that extra sodium. I planned on going to the gym this morning, but ended up having a late night. I'm naturally a night owl and I have to make a conscious effort to go to bed at a decent time. Left to my own devices, I would probably go to bed around midnight and wake up at 7:30. But, I have to get the kids out the door in the mornings, so I'm forced to wake up earlier than I would like. Today I'm going to have another dinner from hellofresh. Since it has carbs that I can't avoid (my options are bulgur stuffed peppers and salad or salad and quinoa with walnuts), I'm going to avoid carbs at lunch. I'm only supposed to have carbs once per day at either breakfast or lunch. Since I always have a smoothie for breakfast, I usually have my carbs at lunch. I hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well wwlurker - That's great that your scale was down again, I'm sure that felt good. I'm a night owl too, it was really tough all the years I worked getting up so early. I think my most favorite thing about being retired is being able to sleep later I'm doing well today and staying on track. I kept busy doing things and didn't feel the urge to overeat. It was nice to have a day not fighting those feelings.

Good morning everyone! Yesterday was only ok - I could have done better. But, this morning on the scale I was down another 3lbs - not sure how that happened but this is the lowest number I've seen on the scale in months. It was pretty motivating. I want to stay on track this weekend (I say that every weekend!) My hellofresh meal last night was delicious (kale mustard salad with quinoa and walnuts). There was plenty for the whole family even though it's only supposed to feed two people. This makes it a very economical choice for us. And it took less than 30 minutes to put together! cj59 - I think that keeping busy is important for avoiding overeating. sunrose49 - thinking of you and hoping you are doing well. I hope everyone has a great OP day!

Hello Everyone wwlurker - How exciting about the extra weight loss! I bet it felt great to see that number on the scale Those meals sound interesting. I'm a very plain eater so I can't imagine I would like many of them, but it's great if you get a family meal and you all enjoy it. I hope the weekend goes well for you. sunrose - Hope you're enjoying your day. I'm doing well today and staying on track. It's the last day of the month, so I'll do a monthly weigh-in tomorrow. I like to log in my monthly weight - I've been doing that for a lot of years. I need to plan out the weekend meals so i can stay on program. Take care!
