Good morning.
It is 31* here at 6;30 this morning! Yep, I will take it! Did you hear that Debbie Reynolds died? Wow! How sad! Her son said that she said she wanted to be with her daughter Carrie. Unreal how 2016 is ending up being a year that took so many famous people.
Good luck with all the remodel of your bathroom, Marlene. Our bathroom should have it done, but we don't have that kind of money and we don't want to go thru all of that. I know it will kick us in the long run, when we finally put the house up for sale. How old is your house? Ours is 46 years old. We have had to had another telephone line run to the house, since it's wiring was not enough for all of today's technology. So we have 2 routers in the basement now. Every campground we have stayed at (which were not a lot) has had WI FI, and we always were able to get on easy. I did notice in recent years people using their phones more, but I never noticed people using them around the campfire.
My shopping list for today sure grew! Funny how that works...oh well I will just be happy with new socks, lol!! Have a great day!

Good Morning Karen,
Not much of this morning left but think I'll try posting before it is entirely gone.
Been a busy morning. Stripped the bed & washed linens this morning, plus a load of colored clothes. I made a pot of pea soup that is almost done. It will be our lunch. I have prunes cooking too & need to make cranberry sauce when the prunes are done. We'll have chicken for supper & I need cranberries with that.
Haven't gone to Menards yet & now DH said we could go today. Weather didn't turn out quite like they forecasted yet. Not so sure I can make it with all I got going on. My DH doesn't understand that. My upper back is hurting too - the area over the left should blade & into the shoulder. Wish I could get someone to do the MN shopping for me but I probably wouldn't like what they picked out.
Our house is old Karen. It was built in the late 40's. We have done several remodeling jobs & of course decorating. We had to add on after baby 5 arrived. Having been gone 16 years and nothing being done it needs lots of attention both inside & out. It won't all get done this year - only what's most needed & maybe at our age that's all we'll do.
My hands are so dry & starting to crack around the fingernails. The yarn dries them out too. I cream them every night but only so much helps. Winter time is especially hard on them.
DS picked up his/my computer but I will have my stuff transferred over. I thought maybe that wouldn't be necessary but I have no idea what I'm doing the way it is now. I am not very smart when it comes to computers. If mine doesn't perform 'normal' I'm lost.
Wonder if Phyl will be back today. With only three of us, it's really noticeable when we lose one person even temporarily.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KAREN!
Do I dare ask how many candles you have to blow out? Should I ask the fire department to stand by when you light them?

HAHAHA, Marlene !!! I am way beyond having all those candles lit on a cake!!! I never hide my age, in fact, since I went thru lung cancer 3 years ago, I am proud to be alive. That being said, I am 63 years young today. Remember when we were kids and thought even 30 year olds were OLD? It is unreal, with all the people dying young now.
