This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

We aren't going anywhere today. The sleet has begun and we are expecting snow imminently. No four wheel drive on the useless SUV (not the one we reserved) left on the island of misfit toys onChristmas night. I hope we can get out tomorrow and not miss our flight. We are down a bumpy private road that will be a challenge to get through on its own. There's enough food to the 11 of us going for days, unfortunately.
Spa day was great. I went to bed early with a book. Off and running -- oh wait, no I'm not. Did anyone make coffee yet?

Good morning T! Hope you are enjoying a nice big steaming cup of coffee!! This week has been so quiet around work and I've had zero motivation to move the piles on my desk. Cold hard reality will definitely hit next week when the masses return from vacation and the auditor countdown begins in earnest! T, how was your spa treatment? Nancy, hope you are feeling even better today. No fun being sick and being surrounded by sickies! Martha, your post made me think of all the magazines I need to recycle! I used to have a ton of subscriptions and still a few, but don't ever read them. I was getting a couple e-subscriptions on my Amazon Fire but never read those either. Anyone ever hear of Texture? Someone was telling me about it...it's an app that gives you access to hundreds of magazines. I think it's $15/mo but I may try the free trial offer to see if they have the magazines I like to read. Okay, time to get another cup of tea and figure out how to avoid work again today!! Have a great day!!!!

T, guess we're both typing at the same time....here's hoping your weather clears up. It sounds miserable...or rather perfect to sit and snuggle inside with a piping hot cup of coffee!!

Good afternoon CATs, It has been so heavenly quiet around here and I haven't even turned on the computer for several days. I've been checking things on the tablet before falling into a few good books. Getting in good walks (and meeting some of my fellow walkers) every morning. Checking off some medical stuff in my down time. I have two books that I would like to finish before the year rolls over but I'm not going to stress out about it.
T, how lovely, in a way, to be snowed in. Here's hoping you can make the airport and that the electricity doesn't go off. Andrea, I don't envy you sitting at that desk on these quiet days and the prelude to your audit. Hope puppy girl has settled in. Do you crate her when you are both gone during the day?
Thinking of all our CATs and hoping we can renew activity here in the new year. I hate so many have dropped off the boards in the past few months.

I'm up to my eyeballs with little boys today. The sitter has Flu A. B1G has that awful rotten egg smell to him, and has had one accident that required him to have his clothes laundered. DH rescued me for lunch, taking them out, and leaving me with Three asleep in my arms. The Bigs have been full of P & V this afternoon, following a relatively calm morning. Mama better not be late coming to get them.
Already dealt with a non-functioning printer, a search for years old documentation for DS2, slowly scaling Mt. Laundry, cleaned up 1/2 container of sweet potatoes smooshed into my new carpet, put away the last huge load of clean dishes, and wishing I could cloister myself away in my office where it's quiet. Christmas, minus the tree, is all stacked on my dining table, hoping for storage later today. I so badly want my home back to normal.
Still not feeling completely up to par, and the added stress today has not helped that. Perhaps one more good night's sleep will end the malady. What would also help is to have nothing more break, malfunction, or be destroyed.

Hi CaTs. From the snowy, crappy world of upstate NY. Temps in 20s, lousy roads. I traveled safely and slowly. Home now but have to go to lead local WW. Hope my boys come home OK, trip will be slower than usual.
Had to lead WeWa this am too, regular leader out sick. 30% attendance. Then I got cut and color. Very dark red. Won't last but fun. I can be found in a snowbank.
Yesterday I was going to wire my jaw shut. So much indulgence and lack of control. I'm over it, or wish I was. Today going well but hardest part of day still to go and I have slight headache, making me want food. Boo.
Supposed to go to DMiL's tomorrow night but I am weather concerned. Maybe Sat? Such a damn nuisance - guessing, caution, worry.
Anne, I too hope for lots of CaTs reporting in in 2017. Miss those who have left their keyboards. I love connecting w all of you, sharing thoughts, ideas, lives.
Waving to all of you, have a warm safe evening.

Hey Ladies. A late post. I've been busy. I wish I could fill you all in, but I can't. Suffice to say shenanigans worthy of XMCat.
Anyhow, got my TM time in. Saw the movie La La Land with some GF's. I'm still here, even if I don't check in too much. It is a public forum as you know. Frieda.

I will be back in 2017. For now I have late nights, early mornings and busy days. That qualifies me as a bona-fide CATS doesn't it.
