Good morning, all!
Today's going to be a bit dicey. I will be squidSitting again this evening which will include picking up the Zigster from daycare. However, I need to get to the grocery before DayJob log-in time since I no longer stock squidFood (white-flour pasta, hot dogs, stuff like that). Ah, well. The hugs are worth it.
WHAT: YesterDayJob had unexpected (and as-yet-unresolved) drama. Apparently WW Boards Take Two also had some drama - hence this NEW home. MissMouse left work an hour late, which had a domino effect on last evening's squidSitting and my nerves. Today? I have NO CLUE. That quick run to the grocery goes right past the fresh baked goods...
HOW: There is NO NEED for all this "outside" foolishness to derail my eating plans. None. NONE. So I've got everything pre-tracked and I have all the bits available.
Must get dressed, get my bkfst made, get out to the grocery, and prep my lunch. Have a healthy-eating day, all!

Good morning MJ Naomi and AWF. MJ sorry about the drama in your life right now. It's hard enough this time of the year to resist temptations and that only adds to it! However, I know you have it in you to do what needs to be done for YOU. Naomi, I have been craving meatloaf. Maybe I'll make that for supper tonight. I too need to get back into the swing of things with the snacking. Lately I'm reaching into Carl's pile of 'stuff'. I also need to go back to measuring rather than eye-balling portions. Funny, but portions of pasta or mashed potato are much larger than carrots or green beans LOL.
Wishing all a wonderful day!

MJ, hope your day manages to go better than you think it shall. You have proved over and over that you can do this! Every time I read your up-coming days I think of a snow globe and someone shaking it. And yes, somehow all the snow settles back down, you regroup and go forth successfully!
Naomi, enjoy your day! How is your grandson doing? I am hoping Salt Mountain has soem meatloaf left from Sunday.
Ann, could it be the portions are bigger cause we like them more? LOL Enjoy your day!
How - off to Bible study dodging the large gathering of unhealthy snacks. I will stick with the gouda cheese and crackers. Safest thing there. Will look for the AWARE glasses this afternoon.
Hope all to follow have a great day!

Good Morning Ann,
Isn't that the truth about eyeballing it....hehe.. If you make meatloaf for supper enjoy it ,I know I sure did....
My snacks are chips but I have slowed down on that . What I do is I eat something so long then I get burnt out and move to another. And trust me my snacks are usually far from HEALTHY.

Thanks, MJ for getting us started
Mj- sighhhh... drama seems to be the name of the game lately. Bravo for reminding yourself that store bought bakery goods truly do not relieve stress or end the drama. Saying that here is a powerful reminder--to all of us. So thanks! Hope that the day unfolds better than you expect.
Naomi- ha ha ha ...it must be the time of year for meatloaf! Glad you enjoyed it and better yet have leftovers! Oh my.... stomach bugs that travel through a family are the worse...
Ann--the good thing about old habits like weighing and measuring is that once you restart them, they click again and you just "do it" more automatically. I like my WW serving spoons for easy measurements. Bought them on sale. I also have had to get back to that habit. It is getting more routine. We will do this together. 😀
Susi- have a great day! Enjoy the menu & activities that you have planned. Hope that your veggie run yields some tempting finds.
bee j- sodium- it just doesn't know when it has outlived its welcome! Enjoy pondering at your Bible study today.

If you are pretracked and have everything available, there is no reason to falter MJ. But unfortunately sometimes life does get in the way of the best laid plans. Hope your plan goes as smoothly as you hope. Naomi – I fortunately keep a “safe” house and so far the treats have not started at the office. That’s when things can get dicey. Sending healing vibes to your family! LOL Ann. That’s why when I came back to WW I went back to counting points instead of SFT. Portion distortion was a good part of the weight I put back. Enjoy your bible study Bee. You’ll do just fine, especially if you have the meatloaf to look forward to. June – Hope you can get your schedule back in order. This was an “emergency” run. First time I have EVER been out of frozen spinach. Made a big frittata with spinach, red/orange/jalapeno peppers, sweet onion, ff shredded cheddar and 1 cup eggbeaters. Half was for today and half for tomorrow. Normal for WI day. Had that with 3 cups arugula tossed with evoo and lemon and ½ sandwich thin. Along with my Susi mochachino, I am well fueled and will be satisfied until lunch for 5 SP. Total of 6 f/v, 2 healthy oils, 2 dairy and lean protein, whole grain. Made some great inroads for my GHG

I never followed SF as that is has always been my problem....I'm a volume eater LOL. It is what it is. I'm able to curb it at times...then it rears its ugly head again.
June I agree...I need to START focusing on the weighing measuring again. I love the ww'er spoons and I have my scale on the counter. No reason why I don't use it as they are all right there for me....hmmmmm Need to just simply DO IT! And yes, always nice to do it with other people LOL.
I just finished my breakfast. I had a lavash bread with a serving of evoo red pepper hummus and a cheese stick and cherry tomatoes. All that for 7 points and I'm 'good to go'. Now I'm going to finish my coffee and fill my mug back up with water. I'm off to a good start...now to keep that momentum going.....

I am too, Ann, which is why I usually get in 8-10 veggie servings a day. You can do it with us! Also, there is a daily menu thread on this board if you feel that will help you.

Good Morning Can someone message me about the drama that led to this new group. I feel very out of it. When I tried to log in as ahmward I forgot the 1 so I just used another login, jamescat. This group and Judy's Beck Book Review are the only groups that interest me on the boards. I feel attacked if I don't word things properly in general discussions. Ann, Susi and Naomi add me to the volume eating too and that is why I also have lots of fruit and vegetables with my meals. The morning fruit bowl had grapes, apple and orange slices. MJ, I hope this is a better less stressful day for you. Bee, enjoy Bible study. Naomi, it is hard to avoid sickness when one of the family members has it. I could tell DH's throat was getting scratchy on our trip and I made him take some of my Vitamin C pills. I get Trader Joe's Vitamin C Energy complex. Anyway I think he is better now. He is the last person to take care of himself. June, I hope the glitch was not too bad and you are back on track. Susi, you seem well prepared now that you have your frozen spinach. We try to keep a running list of things we need but it is so easy to forget to write something down. Ann, I have never done SF because my life has so many unpredictable events. Tomorrow there is a Christmas luncheon for my philanthropic club. What I do is never take the roll and try to turn down the dessert. If I can't eat a lot there I will eat when I get home. I am totally out of control on trips and I had way too may sweets and alcoholic beverages. My husband would laugh because I eat so much less than he does but I seem to gain when I just look at food. Yesterday I had a good SP day and will do the same today. I have a nail appointment at 1:30 and will see a kindergarten Christmas program in the early evening. DH has a 4 pm meeting in Merced 90 miles north of us so I am making a soup DS suggested for our dinner. Mix one box Trader Joe's tomato red pepper soup with one package of their pre cooked lentils and heat well. Top with chives. DH wants two boxes of soup and two packages of lentils. I do not know how many outsiders he thinks I am feeding but I will just have my one bowl and try to figure out the points. I will also make big salads. Yesterday I bought two cooked chicken breasts at the grocery store for no brainer lunches and I will keep the water glass full all day.
