Good morning, on this last Friday of 2016! What a year! I have never heard of so many people waiting to get out of this year! So many deaths. We were even indirectly affected...my DD1 friends from high school, who at that time they were very close, but over the years drifted away, passed away on Christmas morning. 40 years old. The corner just released her body on Wed. (they must have thought something fishy went on...?) Get this: her husband and her daughter (by a previous man) started a GOFUNDME page, to raise money for a funeral!!! I think that is just crude.
Marlene, I have dry skin on my hands too, and my feet! My feet are really bad, and like you, the lotion does just so much. Good luck with the computer transfer, hope it goes smooth.
I hope Phyl returns soon, also.
Got up way too early...have to baby sit just till noon, so I was going to get up at 5:15, but could not sleep, kept watching the clock, so I finally gave up at 5. Once home this afternoon, I have about 2 loads of wash waiting.
Need more coffee, so off I go.
Have a great Friday!

Good Morning Karen,
I grabbed my second cup of coffee so I'm set for a few minutes. I hope Phyl is back soon too.
Not cold according to the thermometer but it's damp & cold. I think the dampness makes it seem colder. We never got the high winds & snow flurries yesterday. Should have gone shopping but DH thought we would & wanted to wait till today. The 11% off at Menards ends this week - of course there will be another week. They are getting like Kohl's with their sales. If I really do need to order the shower door, I have to get that done. I half expect SIL to start the BR next week. He said it will be about 2 days that we may be without a shower, but you know how building projects go. I think we might be able to use the shower curtain for a few days if we have to.
You are right to be thankful for every year. We all should but more so for you. Did you have to have surgery or did chemo take care of it? I like seeing my birthday roll around every year:) After a while, one see's getting older as a challenge! Being the baby of the family I aim for the age of my oldest sibling - 94. Not really, but 85+ looks feasible.
Hard to believe that the New Year starts Sunday. I sure hope 2017 is better than 16. At least we can be thankful we won't have a president campaign going on. Now we only have to listen/read what the prez is or isn't doing, plus what promises are broken & how bad the previous President was. Same old, same old.
I got so much done yesterday. In addition to what I think I told you was on my agenda - washing clothes, cooking prunes, cranberries & soup - I gave DH a haircut & then vacuumed the entire house. Not a small task when compared to the trailer! I wanted to bake cookies after supper but decided to wait till today.
Not sure when DS will take my computer to his friend to transfer my stuff. Hope it's gone for a shorter time then his was, but I think he just neglected to pick it up. I'm hoping I can post from my tablet but I don't really like how that works. My DD bought the tablet to use for office work when away from the office. She didn't like how long it took her to learn the new setup so gave it to me. I don't use it for much of anything other than downloading library books. It's much easier on my eyes than the computer.
DH is finally up so I better get dressed & get ready to go shopping. I want to get it over - I hate shopping!
Make the most of the days remaining in 2016.

Marlene, good luck with all you have to do today! Way to go on getting all the vacuuming done! Can you come do mine, lol!!! I truly hope I see 85, but I am not counting on it, good for you!!! I so agree with you about glad the election is over, but geez, all this crap going back and forth, from present pres, to future pres is just as bad! They are acting like 2 little boys.
About my lung cancer, I went thru surgery, 3 years ago this month, to have it removed. The surgeon was very confident that he got it all. So they had me go thru chemo, as a "just in case". No radiation..was happy about that. My PET scans and CT scans so far have come back clean. But since the cancer in my lung was located at the upper (right) lobe, they removed it. Which is why I do have breathing issues, if I really push myself, say when I would do my walks, back in summer and fall...I could push myself to walk at 17 minutes per mile. There was a time or two where I was able to log 16 minutes per mile, but then I was really huffing and puffing. I can not wait to get back to the Y next week and start working out my lungs once again. DH and I talked it over, and have a plan for slowly easing back into what our work out routines used to be. Of course along with that, starts tracking too. YAY, for ITrackbites! Would be lost without it.
