Close your eyes and remember when you said to yourself “Enough is enough and I’m getting in shape!” On a scale of 1 to 10, how serious are you? You really need to be an eight or higher! If not, you should probably reevaluate your thoughts and feelings about regaining great health in your life.

I told Fred Rosie is getting more demanding every day! While he was in the shower yesterday she started really having a major temper tantrum and I could not figure out what was going on as she had been fed, taken out and played with. I kept saying what is your problem as she was stamping her feet, throwing her head back and hitting my chair and my leg. Then she actually started alternating crying and growling! I then wondered if all this was because she wanted to play more so I got on the floor and she came over and I had curlers in my hair and she tried to pull them out! Then she started rolling on the ground and doing her boxing with me. I did this for about 15 minutes and then got up and sat down and she went in her bed and went to sleep! Never seen such a display from any of our other dogs ever! Have I said just how spoiled a little one she is? 🐶😂😍
This morning she goes for grooming and I also have a haircut - well really a trim.

Good Morning Friendss!
Today I am having lunch at a Cuban restaurant with friends. This afternoon we have to register for our new entrance gates in our community. I also have a condo meeting, so will miss yarn club.
QOTD: When was the last time you were lost? What book had the most significant impact on you? If you could disinvent something, what would it be?

Good morning. Another beautiful sunny day. I went with Jeanne to Lowes and got her birthday gift, also got a staff to hang my bird feeder and humming bird feeder. Just need to make the humming bird food and buy the regular bird food. Lowes and Home Depot are so much higher than Kroger. I also like seeds that they do not have.
Ruth I love a Cuban Restaurant near me. Can't recall the name at the moment, but meet a Nashville friend there often. OK now I remember, its Calypso Cafe.
Sandy do you know any background on Rosie. My Gracie (cat) was adopted at age 5 when her owner. She too is spoiled and very demanding. I guess her owner was older and had all the time to entertain her. Yesterday she finally used the doggie dog and has been in and out several times. She does not wander far but loves to go out.
Rushng for mass. Handiman comming to do all the jobs we talked about on Tuesday. Can't wait to get more finished here. I stayed up until 3:15 because I could not relax knowing what had to be done. Looking better and better every day. I gave myself three weeks to unpack and be settled. 29th will be two weeks. I think I'll make it!

Good morning 🌞.
An absolutely gorgeous morning at about 63°.
Maybe Rosie didn't like your hair curlers!
Whenever my son tries to give me a hug or a kiss our dog will bark and growl at him! The funny thing is that the dog much prefers my son to me but he's very jealous if we show the least affection.
Last night I just could not get to sleep. I was watching YouTube videos of traffic stops and other nonsense. One is where guy got pulled over for something very minor and then the story got more and more convoluted.
He was in a rental car but he hadn't rented it. His cousin had he said, but the name on the rental agreement was not the name of his cousin. The trooper had him pop the trunk and inside were three duffel bags of meth one of which weighed about 30 lb.
The guy claimed innocence and was totally shocked and to be quite honest I have a feeling he might not have known. He was probably someone who got duped into taking a car or maybe even got paid to drive a car and either didn't know or perhaps suspected that he was a drug mule.
Or maybe he knew everything and just didn't expect to get caught...
Years ago there was a story of a woman who traveled to some African country on vacation and someone had convinced her to take a package for them, but of course the package contained a lot of drugs. They don't play in those countries she wound up in a prison cell for I think about 30 or 40 years if memory serves.
What would I do without YouTube? 😳😁
Enjoy your day.

Geri all the rescue knew was she came from a hoarding/breeder situation. But I really do get a lot of laughs out of her temper tantrums!

Good morning Sandy Rosie is great company for you. Certainly has perked you up!
Ruth enjoy your lunch, sounds delicious.
Shragae you must be feeling well. Amazing how you get through your procedures!
Jane hope all goes well with the neurologist and mri news.
Geri meant to say congrats on weight loss and how proud to have JJ as lead in these productions.
I’ve dragged my feet. Had spinach, minestrone and tea. Now need to get to the pool. Need to pick up a few things at the market after. Need to be home for my littles after school. They’re so much fun and have such different taste. Only one loved my corn muffin. Reminds me to take some turkey soup from the freezer. One asks for that everyday. Mia 4 prepares everything for the others whether making popcorn or a shake etc. like in school she asks ‘do you want snack today’? So precious.
Off I go before I get lazy!

AOTD: When was the last time you were lost? This is not the last time, but is still the funniest. When I was driving across country alone in the mid 70s, I had just left the Oklahoma home of a couple I had met in Mexico and did not have a map in the car. I stopped at the nearest gas station to fill up and buy one, but they were out. So I asked the attendant which way to travel to get to NY. He cracked up. Oklahoma is a long way from NY. He pointed to a parkway that went northeast. Well, when I finally got a map, I discovered that it was going to Maine and was able to get onto a better road. What book had the most significant impact on you? Hard to say as so many have. Most recently, BECOMING NICOLE, about one of two identical twin boys who knew "he" was meant to be a girl from the time he was a toddler. The book contains lots of scientific research but is not difficult to read. Nicole is now an actress and activist. Fascinating book. I could not put it down. If you could disinvent something, what would it be? Hatred and dishonesty. I know it is impossible, but this world could certainly use a lot less of both right now.
I went to a health fair this morning. Off now to TRX training. Will catch up when I get back.

Just had a long call from DGD in Chicago. Lots of love and laughter.
This was garage sale day. There were almost 40 here in our little town. We didn’t even try to go to all of them. Most of it was baby items and kids clothes but we got some things. I bought a potting bench for $5 that fits perfectly on the far end of the patio. Plus a vidalia onion chopper as the bottom of mine was warped in the DW. it was new and only $5. Poor Don didn’t find more books to read. Plus we met another neighbor on our street.
Ruth did you get a new mattress?
Karen E how’s your leg and hip? I wonder if it’s actually back problems. Anyway I hope you’re better.
Jane what did you learn at the neurologist?
Gail I love your 2nd grader book stories. It must be so gratifying.
When was the last time you were lost? Many times prior to having a smart phone. We were in Ft. Pierce FL and couldn’t find Rt 70 to get back to Sebring. When the DK heard this they insisted one of us get a smart phone.
What book had the most significant impact on you? Lately Nightingale by Kristin Hannah and The Plum Tree by Ellen Marie Wiseman. Both dealt with Nazis and WW2. It dealt with what unspeakable things could happen when there is mass hated toward one group of people.
If you could disinvent something, what would it be? Fentanyl because it kills so many.

The neurologist said he had good news….no tumors, cancer or anything wrong in my brain. He offered two med possibilities. One that I would take every day or one I would take as .needed. I agreed the as needed sounded best. I didn’t pick it up yet because I was too tired after going to Walmart . He wants to see me in 6 weeks so I will see if this med helps. The other would possibly cause me to be tired and I don’t need to feel that way. Sitting here I have no shaking but last night I made tacos and I could not fill the shells because I was shaking so much. When I printed my name at his office it could not be read. I will pick up the medicine tomorrow or later today.

Good afternoon!
It's a very pretty day today with lots of sunshine and a temp of 49 degrees. Nothing much planned.
Ruth, I've never eaten at a Cuban restaurant but I'm sure I would love it. The closest I've come is having a Cuban sandwich and it was delicious! Enjoy your lunch.
QOTD: When was the last time you were lost? What book had the most significant impact on you? If you could disinvent something, what would it be?
AOTD: 1. When we first moved here to central Indiana, I used to go out for a drive and get lost intentionally so I had to figure out my way back home. It really helped me to get to know the area. 2. I think it was probably The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank. I read it when I was in 6th grade. I grew up in a very small farming community and the book opened my eyes to a world outside of my safe and worry free environment. 3. I would disinvent Robocalls!!!

Ruth did you get a new mattress? Sharon, No mattress yet. I went online to see the best time for mattress sales. They were Black Friday, Labor Day, Memorial Day and President's Day. We will wait until Memorial Day.

QOTD: When was the last time you were lost? When I moved to Florida I went to Treasure Island to meet my cousin, Judy, who was visiting Florida. It was dark on my way home and I got confused with 5th Avenue and 5th Street and did not realize it until I was several miles out of my way. GPS was no help, so I stopped at a gas station that was well lit and pulled up the map to see exactly where I was and the streets I needed to take to get home. What book had the most significant impact on you? This one is a hard one, but I would say THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. It was given to me to read by my granddaughter, Mackenzie. After we both read it I took her to see the film. We both cried reading the book and watching the movie. It was incredibly sad but made me appreciate life so much more than I did before I read it. If you could disinvent something, what would it be? I would disinvent politics. LOL

At the Cuban restaurant I did not get a Cuban sandwich. Good thing as it was HUGE but everyone said it was delicious, so I will take Mike there and we can split a sandwich. I love beans and rice. The first time I had it was at an authentic Cuban restaurant in Miami. Today I ordered their beans and rice and it was as good as I remembered from the restaurant in Miami. I also had a nice salad with a creamy homemade herb dressing and flan (my very favorite dessert!) which was also amazing!
