WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going.

Morning, BFF's! Crazy busy at work. Got home last night, had dinner, and went to bed. Yesterday was a healthy eating day. Will check in and catch up on posts when I can.

Good Morning BFF: C1D4 Treadmill D4 Edesia, thanks for starting us off. Oh, can remember the busy days too. Retirement is good. Especially when its cold outside. Beth, makes me cold & tired just hearing about ya'll shoveling snow. Well, disappointed, so far have gained 1/2 lb this week, duh! Taking a day at a time. Not going to let the scales play mind games with me. Got my new glasses yesterday. Frames called tortise. Tried on about 30 pairs at dr office and picked the first ones. Dr said medicare would pay a lot since cataract surgery, but they didn't. Couldn't believe the brand is Vera Wang, I think she said. Will take a while to get used to them. Off to treadmill. Hope everyone is staying warm. It's 28 degrees here with wind coming from the north. Be back later to check on everyone. Love ya'll, Cindy

Hi folks...I think I've been MIA for a few days, eh?
Pants are getting tighter, haven't been tracking. Been eating plenty of healthy food but LOTS of treats too.
Apparently, "intuitive" for me is a bit of a loaded word! I HAVE been having fun "just eating"...need to find a bit of balance though.
On a FUN note...I'm having a blast organizing my new kitchen pantry. Have been buying containers and slowly replacing all the ziplock bags of lentils, rice, etc. It all looks so neat...I love it! Going to do a little more container shopping after work today before my WW meeting (will NOT be getting on the scale...i'll just have them scan me in so they get "credit" for me. I don't see how seeing the scale number could possibly help me.)
happy 2017 everybody!
