I am new to Weight Watchers and using the points new style of tracking food ~ I am lost!!! Today I ate 1 boiled egg, 3 ounces of salmon and 1 apple. Tonight I ate instant pot chicken breast (skinless, shredded) in salsa (3 ounces). As of now for today I have used 0 points ~ is this possible? I feel that I must have used points somehow for eating food today. Can anyone tell me if I am doing this correctly ~ if I am, and I actually have used no points, I want to make a blueberry smoothie (worth 8 points), but afraid to do it because I am not really sure if I am doing the points correctly. If anyone could comment and tell me if this is how to do it or if I am wrong I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much, Darlene

You need to use your points. Add in healthy fats like olive oil, olives, cheese, nuts, beef and avocado. They add up in points, but they're satiating and you won't be over eating the zero point foods.

Thank you for your information, I guess I need to learn healthier eating ~ I see what you mean and will make a point to add in some of the things you mentioned ~ just feels wrong to eat all day today with no points used yet, but I do see what you mean. Thank you very much!!! Darlene

WW no longer says you must eat all your points so you can be under without worrying about it (if you go to meetings, ask your leader about this). They expect you to eat some of your points to make the program livable. Go about the program by thinking if this is something you can do the rest of your life. If you don't think you'll be willing to eat only zero point foods only, then don't do it now.
I can't imagine only eating zero point foods. I want to eat bread & chocolate & peanut butter, etc. I also don't want to just eat chicken or fish for my protein. Good luck with the program.

Thanks for catching this guys, boy not sure how I missing all these.
What they said, ^^^ but I also wanted to add this is very common and referred to as the “honeymoon phase”. No worries, it will all balance out as you get the hang of things. Don’t deprive yourself, you never want to get so hungry that you will just grab anything in sight.
