How Many Minutes
* Choose how many MINUTES (NOT miles or number of workouts or APs - just MINUTES) you want to be active this month. Choose the number that is right for YOU! * YOU CAN JOIN ANYTIME DURING THE MONTH. * Activity is whatever you choose. It can be anything from gardening or doing some stretches to walking, running, yoga, cycling, swimming, zumba, or spinning, or anything in between. YOU decide what constitutes being active for you! * Check in and tell us how you're progressing toward your monthly goal. * You can check in as often as you'd like. The thread will be posted daily. *Everyone welcome. You can start anytime you want to. *If you only want to track your daily minutes and post here that is fine, too. You don't have to keep track for the entire month.

Another gray day - taking cat that is fading away to the vet's today to be put down...once hubby gets out of bed.
Cindy: Daughter said fitbit can't be purchased before she leaves. Talked to her in her office at midnight my time and she was contemplating trying to get home through the snow. She slid off the road three times in three hours (usually takes 20 minutes) and eventually got out of the third ditch and stayed at the home of a friend who lives near where she found herself. I don't know if she will be able to fly out on Monday or get through Chicago if she does get out...hope so!
Bob: I hear the weather in Portland is not good, either. Stay safe and warm!
Louise: good work exercising!

(((Cathy))) So sorry about your cat.
I'm glad your daughter is safe. We've had frigid temps. Today we'll end up with 4-6" of snow. Tomorrow it will be 50 degrees. That's New England for you.
I was a slug yesterday. Got a little over 3k steps and no intentional movement. No gym today. I'll probably be able to walk the supermarket later. I won't hit my step goal but will be moving more than yesterday.

Not nearly as cold today as predicted 20s but not teens so far. Walked 60'yesterday and took cell phone photo of great blue heron in snowy wetland. Set up bike trainer inside and rode 50 '.

Cathy-so sorry to see about your cat. DM's Max's vet came to the house to do it. Glad that your daughter is safe and hoping things work out for her planned travel. Got in another inside 40 minute walk. The temp outside was still in the teens most of the day. Supposed to be in the 40's for the rain but then dropping back into single numbers. I expect there will be some wind ushering in that drastic a temperature change. Actually should be tonight too as the temp will be rising around 40 degrees.
Cindy-I won't mind the 46 degrees but it could leave off the rain (although with the drought we had it's probably not a bad thing).
40 minute walk and 20 minute stretch.
