Governor Dewine mandated masks for all of Ohio.
Finally!
How about your state ?

We have had a mandate for the entire state of New Mexico for quite awhile. It was just extended to include wearing a mask while exercising. Only exceptions are when you are at home, or eating/drinking.

luanne do you feel it has made a difference? That is a hard question to answer. There is really no way to tell if we would have been worse off, about the same, or better, without the mandate. We were doing really well, then our numbers started to go up again. The feeling is that as things started opening up people got sloppy. If everyone was actually wearing a mask when they were supposed to be it might be a totally different result.

Connecticut has had mandated masks for awhile now. I don't know if they helped or not. Luckily people are pretty compliant around where I live. I agree with the info I've read and my husband read and believe in them.

I felt happy and relieved with the order today like now we will get somewhere.
After reading your comments, I'm not so sure. :-(

Mandating is one thing - our governor mandated masks ages ago, but the covidiots won't wear them. More stores are saying no to anti-maskers, and Home Depot will no longer allow people in without masks BUT, Loews refuses to enforce mask wearing in it's stores, no doubt it's weak ploy to snap up the anti-masker idiots business. It's sad. The whole thing is pathetic. So Jennifer, while a mandate sounds good, nobody's really enforcing it anywhere that I know of so it's dependent on people doing the right thing.

it helps get more people to wear one who may otherwise not have, but in CA where the masks are mandatory, you will see several videos online of people yelling in stores that it's NOT a law, only a mandate order and thus not enforceable. i just saw one of an incident in walmart up in martinez, CA where a mom with her 2 tween age girls refused to wear one and the person in line behind her was asking her to put one on. she refused and not only that, she yelled at a parent who was masked and had his children masked as well (around ages 8 and 10 maybe), telling him that it was unsafe for children to be masked. so you have this moron yelling and getting her spit all over the place. and the person recording it was asking walmart employees "this is your rule and yet you won't enforce it??"
it was so annoying to watch people who will just straight up refuse. maybe if we actually enforced that rather than putting peaceful protesters (all masked) in unmarked federal law enforcement vans, we'd actually get somewhere. but no.
