Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Monday! There is lots of hoopla around here about the solar eclipse. I ordered us glasses and yesterday took DH's over to the hospital to him. I'll take mine to school.
Judy ~ I am so sorry you guys are still sick!! Some things just hang on and on - and hopefully will go away! Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!!
My DH was moved from the Cardiac ICU to the cardiac step-down unit yesterday. Unfortunately all that changed was a drastic reduction in nursing care. {{sigh}} I just talked to him and he asked for water all night and the average wait was 50 minutes making him wonder where in the world they went to get it??? They also only brought one small cup of water, where at least in the ICU they brought two. He has only been walked ONCE late last night and if they don't walk him, there is no way to assess his heart rate (which needs to come down). He feels like he has to *push* the nurses to walk him and keep him hydrated. Hopefully he will be home soon???
I am going to school today for our first day (with kiddos) in the new school. Will be crazy and chaotic and I'm really not in the mood for it, but we'll muddle through anyway.
BBL. Make a great day!

Hi Sue,
I’m sorry you experiencing these difficult times in the hospital. I hear all the time about the nursing and staff shortages and it just seems ridiculous that we can’t get good care. I sure hope you can bring him home soon sending you hugs
I’ve been on the phone with my doctor this morning because I had a really rough night. I have literally been coughing nonstop for about 12 hours. I get a break about a minute or two and then it starts up again. It’s exhausting. I hope it hasn’t gone into bronchitis or pneumonia really wheezing and my stomach and chest are so sore from coughing . I sat up in the La-Z-Boy again most of the night. I’m taking a total sick day today. My DH has gone up for three doctor appointments today and will be gone almost all day. They are calling in some prescriptions for me now. I sure hope I can knock this out the way. DH has it too, but much less severe.
I also have my eclipse glasses and will duck out since it is such a sunny day and I think we have about 97% here.
Have a great day everyone and keep us posted on your DHS release from the hospital, Sue.

Hello friends~
My first day back in our brand new school is over! The building is beautiful, and HUGE! I wasn't really in a festive mood. Just too much going on in my heart and head. But I learned the new schedule and it went well.
I watched part of the eclipse from home after school, and DH watched at the hospital. I called him and we made a dinner date. I decided to drive over later in the afternoon and stay and eat supper with him. I bought a meal voucher on my way into the building. We sat and visited for a bit and his cardiologist came in to see us. He is resuming DH's routine meds that had been stopped for the surgery and expects good results. Maybe he can come home tomorrow or the next day.
Judy ~ I have been thinking about you and your DH. Hope things are improving!!
I am going to watch a little TV and then get some sleep.
Good night .....

Hi friends,
Sue, sounds like promising news on your DH’s hospital release. Glad he’s doing better. Your new school sounds beautiful. Nothing like a pretty new building! I always love the bathrooms!🤣
We watched the eclipse. We had beautiful weather and it was 95% or so. No darkness but definitely darker light and colder. It reminds me that we are all little specs riding around in space on a ball.😄
I’m a tiny bit improved but still no sleep really. I did have a dr visit yesterday and he prescribed three new meds- prednisone, a Zpack and cough syrup. Hoping I turn the corner soon.
DH is slightly better too.. here’s hoping better times are coming soon. So glad I canceled my flight for Friday. I cannot imagine traveling this week. I did do some work for an hour today. We have six candidates coming in that I scheduled and I worry about logistics.
Have a good day. I’ll bbl.

Judy ~ I am glad you are feeling better! Hope it continues to get better and better.
My DH called me while I was at school today to tell me that he had been discharged from the hospital. I went and got him mid-afternoon and brought him home. Now as soon as he settles in life can get back to normal. I am SO excited to have him home!!
Time for some rest. Sweet dreams ......

Hi Sue
So glad you got DH home from the hospital. The shorter the stay the better, right? You can take much better care of him there and both of you will rest better. Yay!
I am still on the puny list and not doing so great but getting better by inches. My biggest thing is NO sleep. Despite the strong cough meds, I am still coughing a lot at night and resorting to sitting up all night. I have read more than one book in the past few days. Here's hoping I'll turn the corner soon.
I did call to get the carpet cleaners here next week for our two big area rugs and also the window washers and deck power washers for May. That's progress.
DH has gone to a cardiac nuclear test today. He has had a week of doctor appts. I am overdue for minor stuff like my hair appt and nails, but those can wait. It is not like I am seeing anyone at all and seem to be barely getting dressed this week. I take hot showers and back into my jammies.
Have a good day all. I will check in later on.
