Another cloudy day here same as yesterday. We had rain overnight and are 10Ā° cooler. We made it to 73Ā° and today is 63Ā°. Iggy got the green bean seeds planted Monday morning before the eclipse. The upright corded Dyson hates the new carpet upstairs. Itās too thick. Our canister vacuum is okay and the Dyson cordless is okay. We keep a vacuum on each level so we donāt have to haul it up and down stairs. The basement has a 40 yr old Kirby that we use. It has some issues but it still works. No one has a part we need to keep it upright when not in use. Thatās why itās in the basement.
Linda, that irrigation guy didnāt know what he was in for. He earned his tip. I freak out whenever we have a water issue due to the water bill. After a problem with the outdoor spigots we had the plumber install individual turn off valves for each spigot. I am happy to near the MRI went well. Good luck with the carpet guy and I hope all is well with DHās blood tests.
Kathy, when I went to the Doubletree website it did not mention the cookies. I have been to one in 20 or so years. I have an outside chance of making it to the next eclipse.
Karen, I hope the Faux Roni tastes better today and that Dale had a good run. The wedding itself is around the corner from the hotel and the reception is at the hotel. I bet the photos using a real camera with filters looks fantastic.

Our cleaning lady's upright vacuum exploded at her home six weeks ago and she uses ours until they send a new oneā¦which they did but she did not like it and is waiting for one. She has to be reminded to slide the height adjustment for the wall to wall thick stuff. First time you could smell the belt burning. She cleans it each time, but I foresee needing a new hepa filter. Hope she has hers tomorrow.
i am trying to imagine Faux roniā¦.nope.
we might get to 100 Friday or Saturday but then back down.
Today was a lesson in never say it will be a normal day at last.nt getting to Chico's today.
woke a bit after one. Finally after Ovaltine, got to sleep a bit after 5. Alarm went off at seven because carpet cleaner due at 8.
nope got here 9:15. Then email from surgeonā¦have not received the dr letters of clearance or blood work. Eek
Then DH left for blood work.
cleaner gone and DH back by 10:30 so I could go to PCP office. Well, they faxed it again and gave me a copy to hand deliver. I went to endocrine local office but it was temporarily closed today! Left phone message with his MA. Answer? No.
took my copy of that blood work and the letter from pcp to surgery office. So one way or another they have three of five things they need. the reports have been slow coming from Banner imagining, but at least they will get them directly. Just have to get thyroid guyās letter.
stopped at Kneaders to get bread and a couple sandwiches. Got home..mine was wrong. But I ate the half for lunch anyway.
i am lying down, so dysfunctionally tired!

Chele, looks like they still have the cookies. You can tell my priorities! šŖšŖ I haven't been to a DoubleTree in years either. I just saw the path for the next total eclipse and it goes right over this area, so I hope I'm here for it. Linda, unbelievable how much you're having to do to get the data needed for the surgery. Hope the vacuum is okay.
Karen, hope you're having a good day. Are you expecting any bad weather from the line of storms heading this way? It looks like the FL Panhandle might get the worst of it. We're not expecting rain until tomorrow.

Thanks for the start, Chele. Your weather sounds like ours. We had some rain this morning and are expecting storms later this evening. Good job to your gardener getting those green bean seeds planted. What variety are they? Will you hit the local nurseries for your other veggies? Sorry your Dyson is not fond of the new carpet. I'm surprised there's not a setting for thick carpet. We had the same problem with our last upright that you have with the Kirby. Did you buy it back in the days of door-to-door salesmen? Faux Roni š¤£ wasn't on today's menu, but I hope it will be better when it's on tomorrow's menu. It has red lentils in it and I can't eat those more than one day without having issues. Dale had a good run and said there were only a couple of other people on the trail he was running. He did the Aldi trip after and also picked up veggies for Friday when we have to cook for Arya. Will you be able to walk to the wedding? Nice that you'll have to just go up to your room when you leave the reception. The eclipse photos were pretty incredible. But then all her photos are. I think I'm caught up on 9-1-1. I have to say the entire scenario for the first 3 episodes has been improbable from the standpoint of a former paramedic (IRL there would have been more deaths and several firings from the 118), but it's been exciting.
Kathy, we are expecting t-storms tonight, so we're preparing for an upset pup. We are expecting some rain tomorrow as well, but then it's amazing how many Thursdays it seems to rain. We are supposed to be in the 70s though, so at least it won't be a cold rain. My computer started doing funky things this morning as I was preparing to put plant sale stuff on a flash drive to take it to the office tomorrow so plant tags could be printed. When my computer starts acting up it usually means there's an update on the way. I didn't have a notification of one, but I did a restart and it took over an hour and I'm doing a backup now just in case. We're talking about both getting new computers when they are on back-to-school sales because neither of ours can accommodate Windows 11. I wish they would just bring out the Windows 12 OS and we could go straight to that.
You had quite a day, Linda! Will you try to hit Chico's tomorrow? I hope your cleaning lady will bring her new vacuum with her tomorrow. It might be a good idea to replace the HEPA filter anyway. Will you hire her to come extra while you're recovering from surgery? I hope the endocrine office gets their act together so you can get all the boxes checked for surgery. The number of hoops you have to jump through is incredible. I saw an article about your abortion law. I think ours is the same and it was just passed last year. What is it they say about "the more things change, the more they stay the same"? At least your governor has put your AG in charge of indictments, which means there probably won't be any. Sorry they messed up your sandwich. I hope they didn't get your order too far off. Did you get some rest this afternoon?
I think I may be able to get fresh SC strawberries tomorrow. Looking foward to that. I thought I had my next PT appointment next week but got a reminder text that it's tomorrow. I checked the calendar and, yes it is tomorrow. I was planning a trip to TJ's so I guess that will have to wait a week. The knee is doing pretty well with just a little pain. I'm thinking about not renewing that when I have my last scheduled appointment in June and my 6 month contract is up.

Karen, PT I started a month ago is all that is keeping down the pain. too easy to stop doing regularly. I need to keep that up. The other knee's x rays were not too good and so far it has been been mostly ok ,knock on wood, so it gets PT beyond the knee rehab.
good luck in dog and storms.
not a fan of updates. At least Macs ar not as messy, but I hate having to figure out the changes in the word program.
After that crazy morning and almost no sleep, I just went to bed. Finally got to sleep for 40 minutes before the neighbor's yard guys revved up their leaf blowers. Sigh.
we put the living room back together and it looks like scrambled eggs and toast and berries for supper.
