The article has information on the following items.
Oatmeal Bananas Greek Yogurt Sweet Potatoes Eggs Beets Almonds Chia Seeds Spinach Quinoa Blueberries Hummus Lentils Beans Dates Foods That Can Decrease Energy Other Ways to Improve Energy
Each category contains information, much of which most of us may be familiar with, but I learned a few new things. Perhaps you may too. An opening paragraph says this: "The connection between food and energy lies within the nutrients provided by the diet. Carbohydrates, protein, and fat provide calories, which the body uses as fuel to function. However, not all foods influence energy levels in the same way."
Choose as many of these questions or as few as you feel like answering. 1. Did you learn anything new? Tell us about it. 2. Can you add anything? 3. What's on your mind today? or What's going on for you today? 4. [you may want to answer this one only to yourself...] In what ways can you fortify your spiritual connection?
I found (some months after starting) that attending weekday morning services, my days felt (and still feel) more spiritual during the day, not just for the time I was at services. It's not something I can put my finger on to describe to anyone; it was/is just a feeling that stays with me all day. It started a few months after I started attending weekday services. The pandemic [ahem...] interrupted the daily practice, but I've been back to daily attendance for long enough that I feel it again on a daily basis.

Always enjoy the quotes, jokes and so on.
I especially liked the chicken coop joke. I'm going to pass that one on to a friend who spent the past week "chicken-sitting" for a neighbor who was on vacation. This is a good article for me at this time. The scale has been showing a number at or a pound or two above my goal. Not a crisis but a time to pay closer attention to what I'm eating. That would include foods that provide energy.
I'd been planning to make some refrigerator oatmeal and I learned that since it contains oatmeal, Greek yogurt and chia seeds, it would be a good choice. If I wanted to go all-in, I could include blueberries, but I'm going to stick to my favorite instead (cherries). Reminded as well of adding beets to leafy green salads.
Spiritual - The changes of spring are in my mind now, noticing them and thankful for. Warmer weather and also rain to bring the yard and plants and leaves back.

It is a stunningly beautiful spring morning here. The smell of fresh cut grass & flowers, just beautiful.
I like oatmeal & I know how healthy it is, the only problem that I have with it is that the allowed portion is small. As I have said here many times, I am an EATER! Portion control has always been one of my biggest problems.
DH & I eat a banana each, almost every day. I love the ripe ones to make deserts from. They sweeten any thing that you use them in.
Sweet potatoes are another favorite at our house, love them just baked.
Enjoying the beautiful spring weather here. Wanting to enjoy every minute before the heat gets unbearable.

I can't say I learned anything I didn't know, but it was a good refresher course of things I've forgotten.
I'd like to add that I heard a tip one time about baking sweet potatoes: If you freeze a sweet potato and then bake it from its frozen state, it makes the flesh extra fluffy. It takes longer but it is claimed to be well worth it. I have one in my freezer but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet. I'll have to make it a point to try it soon.
As far as being more spiritual, quite some time ago I started praying for others on a regular basis. Just recently the priest at my local church suggested reading scriptures daily. I have decided to incorporate that into my daily routine too. I'm usually awake by 7:30 am, so I've decided to sit up at that time and spend 10 or 15 minutes reading scriptures before getting dressed and ready for the day. That's my plan, anyway.

Quick check-in. I have to get lunch going and have a book to read today. Heard from the book judging I will be doing and downloaded the six books to be judged. The cold is a bit better but still not back to normal and my voice sounds like a fog horn!
