This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning and happy Tuesday!
I hope everybody is having a good week.
Sunday afternoon I noticed that my right knee was a little sore, stiff and achy. IDK what I might have done to it, but it's truly annoying. Then last night I noticed that it's swollen. I guess I'll be babying it until it gets better. Dang it!
Anyway, about to make a run to WM. I need to pick up an Rx for DH and a couple of other things. Then back home to keep my leg elevated and rest my poor old lady knee.
Janet - Oh goodness! I hope that mother realized how serious those types of allegations are and that your center has the video proof to exonerate all involved and make it go away. Yikes!
Have a terrific Tuesday everyone! I'll BBL.

Good afternoon - I am at my hotel and all checked in. I stopped on the way in and grabbed 4 large bottles of water. I also packed some hard boiled eggs for breakfast and protein shakes. My little mini fridge is well stocked at this point. I am feeling a little anxious - I only know a couple of people that will be here for the drill. I am a social person but with people I know. I struggle being in a group where everyone knows each other, and I don't really know anyone. Ill head down to the restaurant/bar later on. I imagine by the end of the day tomorrow I am going to need to recover. Janet - that is a big accusation for the parent to be making. I hope she realizes that. Obviously, your school has to investigate it - but I am glad you have cameras. Hopefully the parents' mind will be eased if she sees the footage. I have my fingers crossed for you, your partner and the school. Sending you lots of good luck vibes. Right not I am working for a bit. I have my bluetooth speaker and I am listening to music. I have a pretty decent view from the hotel room. I have the blinds open to let natural light in. I always hate how dark hotel rooms feel. It looks like there is a path behind the hotel for walking - it is paved and clear (no trees etc) so I would be comfortable walking out there alone. I haven't checked to see if I can actually reach it. I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday

Hello All - went to tap dancing this morning, then ran some errands and then played bridge. I am about to go outside to read for a bit and then we have church dinner.
Lora - darn - sorry about the knee. Mine bothered me after the zoo trek on Saturday, but is doing OK now.
Jana - yippee for out of town work trips for you. Sounds like you are all set with the little frig stocked, etc.
Janet - oh gee - seems like it is one thing after another. Hope this parent realizes that nothing really happened.
Robin - upcoming interviews sound very promising!
Jill - hope you are feeling better.

Hello everyone,
I took a break from applications today. I barely slept last night, and when I did, it was restless, dream-filled, and never a deep sleep. I felt terrible when I got up, so I fed the dogs and laid down for a little bit to try and nap. I was able to finish up the mowing today and I took down a few branches. My Dogwood tree is starting to bloom and is at the same time as my Redbud. They don't always bloom together, but this year they are beautiful. My tulips are still up and more are budding and getting ready to bloom. We are supposed to get passing showers tomorrow, so I think I will do some weeding of the flower beds then. I got my shower after I came in and my farm-stand friend down the street texted me to ask if I wanted some fresh trout that they had caught today. Heck yea! I went over and he also had some spring onions and eggs, so I came home with all of that. They are HUGE Rainbow trout. I have enough for a couple of meals.
Lora, sorry about that knee flaring up on you. Do you use a support for it while it is healing? I hope it calms down soon. I am wondering if I'll be having some flare-ups tomorrow! HA! I am still building up my yardwork stamina after the winter.
Susie, I'm glad your knee got better quickly. It was a perfect day for reading outside!
Janet, that just stinks that an accusation was made. Those videos should be helpful, but I agree that it has to be addressed and proven one way or the other. I'm just glad it isn't true.
Jana, I am the same with a lot of people I don't know, otherwise I am pretty outgoing. I hope you have some relaxing time and maybe a nice walk or two. Where are you on this trip?
Jill, these spring viruses have been so long-lasting and some symptoms drag on forever. The cough is usually the last thing to go, but hopefully the steroids helped! Not too much time left for this school year.
Well, I will definitely be heading up early tonight. I might have some hot cocoa or something relaxing before bed and do some reading. All the outside work today might help me be tired enough to get restful sleep! I hope we all sleep well tonight! I will be back tomorrow. Have a great evening, everyone,
RobinMD

Hi Everyone,
The saga continues. We have a parent of another child in our class. There was a big drama between the two of them and this parent said that other mother cheated with her husband. She found out the mother of the boy spread this on fb through her page and apparently was threatening both my partner and I with physical violence over this. When my partner told me this I told her to go tell our director right away and let her know. She then called our Senior Director to let her know. The parent who told us about this threat said she said something to this parent and the parent may have deleted the page. I think there may be some way to recover that page? I don't know. We don't have the actual evidence of that unfortunately. It's a shame that a screenshot wasn't taken. So,,
Lora, sorry your knee is acting up. Mine is lately too especially when I get out of my car when I have been driving for a while or Cassie is sitting on my leg. I usually take one of my legs out away from her and don't let her sit on my right knee.
The baby shower is this coming Sunday for my nephew and his wife's first baby. They don't know the sex yet and said it would be a surprise.
Have a good evening and rest well for those who haven't been sleeping well.

Hi again! I think, maybe I might have hyperextended my knee while doing the mowing Friday. I can't imagine any other time I might have hurt it. It's not bad, and I have a history of hyperextension happening now and again, and that's the kind of hurt it's hurting. If that makes sense. Robin - I didn't think too much about the knee thing over the weekend, but I did get out my neoprene sleeve for a little extra support and made sure I put it on before the Walmart run. It wasn't a ton of swelling, but enough I could notice it when I moved around, and that has gone down a little bit today. It's HARD getting back into yard work shape after having a whole winter off, isn't it? Ha! Janet - OH MY GOSH! I'm so sorry that you and the other school personnel are having to deal with this stuff. Some of the parents definitely sound like they're off the deep end. Yikes! Jana - I hope the work trip is working out better than you expected. Good work of setting yourself up for success with your fridge supplies! Susie - Glad to hear your zoo knee got righted. I just hate the feeling of being physically fragile. It's just not who I've ever been before. I vote no...Ha! Jill - here's hoping that today finds you bright, energetic and feeling like yourself! Well, not much of a day here. I did make a surprise "dessert" dish for DH later. It's a pumpkin pudding of sorts. You put canned pure pumpkin, cottage cheese, a sweetener of your choice, pumpkin pie spice and about 1/2 cup of hot water with 3 teaspoons of unflavored gelatin dissolved in it, all into the blender and blend it up until smooth. I actually blended the cottage cheese first to smooth out the curds and then added the other ingredients. Then you chill it and it will firm up a little and then serve cold (with or without a little whipped cream on top and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice for decoration). It's pretty low in carbs and has a decent level of protein. Not bad for a "dessert" style dish. We don't eat many desserts, so just trying something really different for us. Other than making that it's been pretty quiet since I got home from the WM run. Tonight is DHs book club, so he'll be home later than normal. I might head to bet fairly early. I didn't get much sleep again last night. This is getting OLD very quickly.
