πΌGood Morning πΌ
The cold is going through the phases colds go through. I am glad it is manageable and that we have plenty of kleenex. I still have plenty of leftovers to reheat but hubby has gone off to buy more produce and some dairy, eggs, and bread. Will see what my hunter-gatherer returns with
Since I have the cold, I will not be going to the AWC meeting this week. Hopefully I will be well for the Cake Lair event next week and will decide what pudding to take to share. So far there is lemon pudding cake, a couple of bread puddings, a rice pudding or two, a local pudding made with spices, and I'm not sure what else. I was thinking I could make a cornstarch plain vanilla pudding or maybe buy some chia seeds and do that instead. We will see. I think someone might bring cream puffs and another a quiche. I thought about taking a savory bread pudding/strata and still might do so.
JUNE: I understand being penciled in on the teaching schedule and waiting for more information to more clearly visualize your future plans!
LADONNA: I am glad your lungs are finally clearing. So far, knock on wood, my lungs are fine. I have a stuffy-runny nose, bit of a cough related to the nose-thing, scratchy eyes, and a weird sounding voice. I don't have bucket loads of energy but it could be worse. I am glad to know that this virus has a lifespan that will end within the next week
SUSI: You are right that my sister and I do better when we are accountable to one another. She had a 40 point day yesterday and was down on herself. I hope I cheered her up and boosted her into a better day today. It was a LOT easier to stay OP during the pandemic without social lives! Glad Lily is back to normal and hope she stays away from eating iffy things. I like the idea of classic outfits to recycle for "events".
MJ: Sounds busy as usual. Glad your appointment went well and you have future ones scheduled. You always come up with pretty emojis to create borders with.
BEE: I am glad Mike is resting and look forward to you checking in but...doubt you have anything too serious to confess
Here's hoping this middle of the week day is a good one for all of us!

Good morning, all!
Prayers still going up for those in the path of storms... many, MANY prayers... there are many, MANY storms... and fires, too, that never seem to go away...
Prayers for all our loved ones who are in particular need...
medUPDATE on John (less than 7 days postop from 5-bypass): he had cardioversion on Monday to clear aFib; it worked well and he's been moved from CVICU to a step-down room. His wife, who is a caregiver-par-excellence and everyone's go-to person, is letting others cook and shop for her. THANK YOU for your prayers. ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π
It's a lovely, mild morning but rain's supposed to come in this afternoon, just in time for the Kressling's afternoon shift and then for YM drill tonight. Fortunately, the drill is planned to be indoors.
Yesterday was full of prep for YMs with more to come today; we have two drills and the event on Friday (limited attendance on that, T-G). The Kressling came by twice yesterday and Pippin was thrilled! Today he'll come in after his morning shift and Toots & I will make a grocery run. We might parlay that into a couple of other errands as well, depending on how phone calls go.
Hectic. Good hectic, but lower-case <oy>. A lot going on in all our <ahem> areas of endeavor.
Last night's roast pork was awesome. Toots made mashed potato and broccoli for sides. Tonight we'll have L/O chicken breast and stuffing with clean-the-fridge veg.
Coffee... βββ... morning prayer...
π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π± Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±

Good Morning!
I strolled into the TB's realm, with all the confidence I could muster stepped up and weighed - down 15 smidgens.! I think the TB cracked his head when he fell. LOL
God graciously took Mike home last evening. Please do not put anything on FB per family's request.
Thanks for keeping my family in prayer.

Bee- sending the warmest hug and holding you in prayer. (I am sharing this following belief as much for myself as I am for you). As hard as it can be for us, as much as our hearts ache, βgoing Home,β is blessing for our loved ones. May Mike rest in RIP.

Cathy Thx for starting the Wednesday thread. I headed to bed earlier than usual which threw off my nightly routine.
The pandemic did make it easier in some ways for many to focus on self care. You did amazingly well, and still are doing amazingly well. You will get into that losing groove. I know you will.
At yesterdayβs meditation, the overall message was to envision the future you want and start living it in simple steps every day. Loved that thought!

MJ- glad that your appt. was accomplished & there is nothing new. Good to have your future appt. locked down. Pippin had to be in doggie heaven yesterday. Heβll miss Kressling when college takes over his life. Glad that the YM work & schedule is managable. Feels like a far cry from the MB situation.

LaDonna Good that you can go with the flow regarding changes at work. Sure does make the situation easier. (I have had to remind myself of that at times). Whatβs the latest with Lakenβs first week in her new house? How is lil Renee?

Wednesdayβs intention Work in my former study again. Yesterday, I cleared up some papers & tasks. Spent a rather unproductive hour searching dental insurance for a new dentist. But I at least got the ball rolling. And I had specifically told myself it was a process & would take time. Luckily, I doubled checked at the dentist office BEFORE I had my teeth cleaned and so on. The list of in network providers was not current. I would have been on the hook $225 instead of $0. Have one small βto doβ on tap for today. And then I will see where the day takes me.
Yesterday it was nice to restart our sistersβ meditation yesterday. π

Bee - My deepest sympathy to you and the family. This was used at the service on Saturday: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Cathy - Hope he gets some good finds for you. Glad the cold is moving along a bit. MJ - Seems to be an extra active time for YM. Nice dinner! June - Glad your meditations went well. Glad you found out about the dentist sooner rather than later. LaDonna - Is Laken enjoying staying in her new home? Ann - Hope you are well.
Another quiet night. I was disappointed to learn that our friends from Long Island will not be making the trip for the Charity Ball as she has a bad case of the flu. She hasn't missed one in probably 30+ years. I should run to Walmart after work but I'll see how the day pans out.
S - Usual coffee B - English muffin with lite cream cheese, smoked salmon and capers, cucumber salad L - Tuna on roasted red peppers with fig & olive crisps D - Chuck steak w/sauteed mushrooms and onion, French green beans E - Walking and stretching

Hi all quick check in -
All is well. Laken is enjoying her new house so far...missing us and Lucy but Lucy most likely will make the move this weekend. Laken is also without internet so her smart TV is not working but last night I took her a DVD player and lots of DVDs for background noise at least if she wants to take advantage. Little Renee is great - I saw her most of the day on Sunday and hope I'll see her Thurs/Fri evenings. Some friends are giving Laken a housewarming Fri night so we are looking forward to that.
Re work: Our Finance officer is leaving - when a new one is hired this will be my 7th one to have worked with since coming to finance here in the district 10 years ago - just crossing fingers we get someone good. Current one has done a great job so whoever comes in will have a great working situation to start. One thing we've been dealing with since right before spring break is that our main account was compromised. Been a lot to deal with but finally starting to see the light. What a mess. We've had credit cards compromised but never our bank account. Definitely a learning experience.
My eating has been off the chain past few days but I'm going to try really hard to stay on point today.
(((Bee, sending my condolences and love to your family -)))

LaDonna - Will she be able to get internet in her area? That's a lot to deal with at work. 7 bosses in 10 years is very high turnover.
