Ruth, glad to hear that Dh was pleased with the doctor’s information regarding his upcoming procedure. Now you have a possible date, and can continue your preparation for the house and what is needed. I am sure Dh loved that apple pie that you made!!
CJ- glad you were able to update the temperature quilt great that you are able to keep up with it to get it done!! I think that this whole house deal with go through for you, but the process is not moving as quickly as you would like. Good news that the grass was finally cut…so for a few weeks you can check that box off of your list.
Ugh….I worked a full day yesterday. Only working this am - and then I do hope to get to my quilting. Yes I did select a cute pattern which I have to try on some sample blocks.
Chilly here this am….but that does not bother me.
See ya later!

I did spend some time playing with what I might use to quilt the simple quilt (which will be my next project). I ended up getting my ruler foot out - and am now searching for my ruler that I bought to go with it. Lots of thoughts going through my head as to how I would use this and how I would quilt this piece, so at the moment all I can speak about is that I am going to practice a LOT. And at the end of all this practicing, let’s hope I find a method to quilt this quilt that I like.
CJ and Ruth, hope that both of you had a good day.

Hello Friends. I hope you are both having a good day or had a good day since it's later there.
Ginny, I hope your practice works out so that you can make that quilt that you like. It's great that you are making something for yourself. So many times we crafters don't make anything for ourselves.
Weather here is on the downward temperature motion. My neighbor has been out doing things in his yard but not me. It's not that warm.I do need to spray thistles someday when it's not "breezy".
I did work on the blanket a little yesterday but last evening worked on a hat instead. I'm planning on making a list of new things I want to make and also the unfinished things I have which is a LOT.

Ruth, I really get the list of unfinished things (which is what the quilt I am attempting to finish falls into). I know you completed DD’s afghan, have you been able to give it to her? AndI do not blame you for working on a hat, sometimes it’s just so nice to work on a project that takes a bit less time to complete. Thistles…what a pain in the neck. Hope that the winds die so that you can take care of them before they get too big.
CJ- what are your plans for the weekend?
I need to find my quilting ruler. I found the special foot I need, but I also have a ruler that is used with the foot and that might be a good way to finish this quilt. No matter what I will need to practice on the technique I use. They make it look so easy on youtube.
Also today, I am replacing the top rack support system in my dishwasher . They say it’s an easy job, only takes 15 minutes. Ha ha ha. Let’s hope that is the case.

Hello - Hope you are both having a nice day It's cool and cloudy here today but then the hot weather comes in tomorrow and for all next week. I was able to figure out my layout for the jelly roll quilt, but haven't gotten to any sewing. Maybe later today or tomorrow. Hope you both get to do some crafting this weekend. Take care

Ginny, I do hope the quilting that you like works out. I said that before I know but being that I'm old I have to repeat myself
CJ, I bet you'll have that all sewn together at least tomorrow
I've spent much of the day looking thru some of my unfinished things but have a lot to go. I ripped out quite a few that I knew I didn't even want to bother to finish. I also started a list of those I do want to finish and already have 11 on the list and more to check on. Now I'm waiting for dd to stop by and pick up some things. I'm not sure if she's coming today or not.

Good morning and Happy Sunday!
Ruth, did DD end up stopping in to visit? I hope it was a pleasant visit if she did. Ripping out partially completed projects does not sound like much fun, but I am confident that you will come up with a good use/nice projects for that yarn.
CJ- figuring out a quilt layout can be quite a headache..moving a block, turning another block…etc…its certainly not a process that is easily done and for me I have to walk away from a layout and come back to it an hour or so later to see if the layout still looks good to me. Hope you get to sewing the quilt top soon and getting that project completed.
I did not replace the dishwasher rack, just got caught up in other projects. DD came over also, and it was good to see her and the little ones. I did find my quilting ruler and did some practice work with it. The way I am thinking now, I will use that to quilt this particular quilt. Because this quilt is for me, I am comfortable with the idea that I am learning how to use this ruler, and that the results might be less than perfect. I ironed the quilt top and backing yesterday also, so perhaps today I can assemble the quilt sandwich and make some progress.
Summer weather arrives today…and it looks like it will be warm all week.

Ginny, I'm so glad you found the rule. As a person that frequently loses things, I know your frustration in trying to find it.
CJ, I hope you've had a good weekend and will be able to enjoy the coming week.
On my list of unfinished items I did not include the unfinished hats. I have quite a few of those so I put all I found in one large tote bag and will pull one out each time I think of it and try to get them all done. I did more work in my craft room today and was able to make some space for things that needed to be in there.I did get the baby blanket done last evening so am now starting a new one. This one is not made for a certain person so will go in the bin that has completed blankets in it.I need to go through the blankets that are already in there and see if there are any that are missing edging/borders. I keep looking at the knit waffle stitch I started for my now 15 year old grandaughter before she was born. It's just so pretty that I hate to rip it out but I really don't care much for knitting. It's made from a long ago discontinued yarn that is so soft and snuggly that you just have to wonder why they would discontinue it.
