Happy Talk Like Shakespeare Day.
Prithee, cousins, partake of this joyous day.
The Hokey Pokey (In The Style Of Shakespeare)
O proud left foot, that ventures quick within Then soon upon a backward journey lithe. Anon, once more the gesture, then begin: Command sinistral pedestal to writhe. Commence thou then the fervid Hokey-Poke, A mad gyration, hips in wanton swirl. To spin! A wilde release from Heavens yoke. Blessed dervish! Surely canst go, girl. The Hoke, the poke — banish now thy doubt Verily, I say, 'tis what it's all about. -- By Jeff Brechlin of Potomac Falls, Va., as part of a contest in The Washington Post.

Karen, I’m glad your class did not wear you out this week. Are you going to wait 2 weeks before you use the kettlebells? What’s on your agenda today? I’ve been wondering if your gun toting neighbors are in town or if you don’t expect them until Memorial Day.
Linda, I’m glad you’re not driving to the airport. I can only imagine the traffic and madness that goes on there. Are you relaxing or clearing out the room so Bob can have his man cave back? It’s good to know the surgeon is so experienced and that you will receive homecare. I had a pair of the Joseph Seibel once. They were not made for my feet, but they were nice looking.
Kathy, did you get your record low? I hope you continue to have cooler days. The NWS is predicting a hotter than usual summer for most of us. Ugh! I am rewatching Sex in the City and I just saw an episode with the actress who plays Elsbeth. She was just a baby.
Nothing scheduled today except another load of laundry. 🧺

Thank Thee for ye olde Start, Chele. It's not just Talk Like Shakespeare Day--it's his birthday. ROFL on The Hokey Pokey. I had a pair of Joseph Seibel sandals that were comfy. You must really like the Clarks to order a second pair. I have a couple of kettlebells already, so I can wait on these. One of the ones I got yesterday is a 20 pounder, so it will be a while before I can do very many exercises with it. I've done a bunch of steaming with Elvis so far. Next on my agenda is making a batch of chickpea frittatas that I'll take with me for lunch on Thursday and possibly to eat in the car on the way to the herb festival on Friday if my stomach is acting up. I also need to start a loaf of GF sourdough to bake tomorrow. The neighbors have been making regular appearances for about a month now. They usually show up on Wednesday or Thursday and leave on Sunday. The kids/grandkids visited a couple of weeks ago with a jet ski. Just what we need. Fortunately, they are only here on the weekends and we stay out of the lake then because it's so crazy. SATC is one of my all-time favorite shows I have the entire series on VHS. I don't remember Carrie Preston being in an episode, but she would have definitely been young back then. I'll need to go back and watch that episode. Ironically, after Carrie Bradshaw married Mr. Big, her name became Carrie Preston. Coincidence? I think she has also been in several Law & Order series and that's where I recognized her from. Are you watching Elsbeth like Kathy and me? Linda, is your guest on a plane and your house back in order? What kind of dough is used in the fruit-filled pierogis? It's great to have such an experienced surgeon. Not surprised you didn't want to eat dinner last night, given all the different foods you've been eating for the past week. Did you get your record low, Kathy? Maybe you could have used Elsbeth's orange coat. I doubt we'll ever find out what's in all those tote bags. We never did on The Good Wife or The Good Fight. They seem to be more of a prop than storage for her. Have you noticed how many different ones are in every episode? Are you enjoying the 70s again today? Did you get any rain? We might get a little tomorrow but we aren't expecting much. Back to watering the blueberries several times a week. It was a little chilly here this morning, but I wanted to run outdoors. I did a mile and it went pretty well. I've been exclusively on the treadmill since the weather turned cold in the fall. Dale is playing tennis right now and they have great weather for it, so it will probably be a big turnout. Is everyone expecting the invasion of 12 year cicadas they are predicting for us?

Glad the neighbors do not stay.
Had our first two days of 100 and heading back to normal upper 80s.usually that is May 2.
Dsil is just now landing in San Diego. Then it goes to Baltimore and a different plane to Albany. I would have paid more to avoid the extra flight the wrong way. We decided to bring the luggage out through the garage so we could go into laundry room and shut the door, then out, because Minni tries to leave with you at front door. Not easy with luggage. imagune our surprise as we came out couple minutes early and reserved ahead Uber car was already there. He saw us and left! He had not texted he was on the way or there. It said ride canceled with $25 forfeit charge! Luckily she got another one in 15 minutes. She has used them for years and was shocked.
an hour and a half later I had the bed deflated, laundry washed plus sheets from DH's bed. Room was restored to man cave. Towels are in the laundry basket. Dog and spouse are fed. DH is not doing well today, sort of wobbly , especially with getting up at six. He did not help. he is sort of blearily sitting with coffee. I am lying down with Tylenol and happy to have no other duties. Things are restored. He gets to restore his bathroom med cabinet and drawers of stuff. He is walking dog a short distance having revived with coffee and food

Chele, love the Shakespearean version of The Hokey Pokey! We didn't hit a record, but we did get down to the mid 50s. It felt chilly in here which is not a complaint. The temp was a lovely 74° today, but it was very windy. The Elsbeth actress has been in a lot of things. I thought she looked familiar and looked her up. It turns out she was in True Blood.
Karen, I saw the map for the 13 and 17 year cicadas and it didn't look like they were expecting them here. I hope they're right! We have enough to worry about with hurricane season. I think the colder temps were over hyped since we weren't near the record. If we got any rain, it was just a spritz early Monday morning. It's nice to have this brief cooler spell though. I've noticed all the different tote bags in Elsbeth. I guess it's just part of her quirkiness.
Linda, that's crazy that the Uber driver left, especially when he saw you. Maybe he got another fare, so just took the $25 and ran. It seems like if he left before your scheduled time, he shouldn't be able to claim the ride was cancelled without action on your part. I'm not a big fan of Uber. We used taxis in Vegas and they had a set price to go to the airport. I would not have booked a flight going the wrong way either! I'm glad things are getting restored to normal and hope you and Bob get some rest.

Kind of weird how in a couple hours you can erase that a person was there. Creepy somehow. But towels are now done and u have my bathroom back. DH spent afternoon in his cave and I finished my book. So good to just sit. Dinner is the take out he got at Cheesecake Factory last night…huge portions. Romani crusted chicken cutlets with spaghetti in tomato cream sauce, a favorite.

.Finally got to bed. DH has been tired and wobbly all day , had cardio check up appointment, lost his cane (I found it) and I got him settled in his den. became Mr fussy pants after dinner.then he managed to blank the computerized thermostat. Fixed that . And his pillow. Hope he sleeps better tonight without guest slamming doors on multiple br trips all night.
Dog is needy missing her new buddy.
dsil finally got into Albany and home around midnight…long day must be killing her.
I did it all ..furniture, deflated bed stashed, changed his bed, laundered the linens, did the towels, moved his br stuff back, stashed all the extra pillows and pads way up in closet shelf, cleared out fridge of leftover restaurant food we won't eat , and body is really complaining.
Tomorrow somewhere between ten and two AC spring maintenance check happens.
