How have you organized your weight management journey so the work of it isn’t burdensome?

I've been doing this so long now it is just part of my life. I eat mostly the same foods because I don't have a food imagination so that makes shopping easy, and I mostly always know what I'll be eating. I'm used to thinking ahead about what I will eat when I'm away from home. The extra work is worth it because I had health problems and pain when I was heavy.

I used to eat the same stuff every day for lunch but then my LDL cholesterol went up because I was eating cheese every day. So I've been trying to switch to a more plant-based diet since Feb and I am not finding a lunch plan that I like as much. Also, mY SO is on a diet that he got at an Ayurvedic retreat in India and I'm finding it very boring. The next bit is a rant - I am cooking for my SO and also for my dad. I can eat my SO's food but I'm bored with it. I've eaten it for 2 months now. I need more variety in my food. I also used to give my dad the soup I made for myself but he needs a much higher calorie soup now because he's not able to eat much. So I can't eat his soups - they are full of nuts and cream! I really should cook separate food for myself but I am also tired of all the cooking. End of rant.
I did get falafel take out last night and I've found a Thai restaurant near by. I'm going to take-out some Thai food next week. But in the meantime I have found a recipe I want to try and I'm going to make it this week.
