Karen, the chickpea frittatas look tasty. Half a week is better than a whole week with the noisy neighbors. A jet ski is loud. Does that bother Arya? Carrie Preston was in The Chicken Dance, Season 2 Episode 7. I haven’t caught Elsbeth, but I remember her from The Good Wife and True Blood. That!s great that you got outside to jog. We have a frost advisory for the morning. It’s mid-50s today. We are not going to get both broods here in Ohio. We get cicadas every year and they are loud enough. TG we will miss both batches together.
Linda, I knew you put everything back together right away. That’s crazy about the Uber driver arriving early, seeing you and canceling.
Kathy, I remember Carrie Preston in True Blood. I don’t use Uber either, but Iggy will. They are not any cheaper here than other taxi services.
I called a plumber this morning at 7:30 am to set up some maintenance on our 29 yr old toilets thinking it would be at least a week before they could get here. Surprise! They set up a time frame between 10 and 2, so I took it thinking it gave me time to clean and take a shower. They called back and said we have a tech that can be there in half an hour, so no shower before he got here. Since Iggy refused to help clean the bathrooms, I made him deal with the plumber.

Thanks for the start, Chele. Did the elderly toilets pass inspection? Even if he cleaned the bathrooms, I still would have made him deal with the plumber😄. Of course I would have had a basset hound cowering on my lap the entire time so he wouldn't have had a choice. We don't hear the jet skis when we're in the house. She does notice them if we're on the deck though but they don't bother her like thunder and wind do, thankfully. How have I missed True Blood? I looked it up on IMDB and it sounds like something I would enjoy. If you liked Elsbeth as a character (in multiple ways) on The Good Wife, you would probably like her in the title role. Thanks for the SatC episode. I'll have to go back and rewatch it. Have you watched the recent series, And Just Like That? The first season was a bit depressing, but since then it's been good. I'm really feeling the run today. The incline/decline function on our treadmill went out years ago, so yesterday was the first time I've been on hills since last fall. Guess I need to work back into that. Sorry your temps are taking another dip.
Kathy, Dale used Uber when he was out of state on assignments. We had credit card data stolen on one of those trips and it had to have been the Uber driver. Congrats on getting no cicadas. You're right that you have enough going on with potential hurricanes starting very soon.
That was a really long day for DSIL. What a bizarre route to get there, so no wonder it took her all day. How is Bob doing today? Are you taking a rest day, other than cooking? Did the AC check go ok?
We had rain this morning so Dale wasn't able to play tennis. I did a load of laundry done plus a little housekeeping. I also baked the latest GF loaf and it looks good. I won't slice into it until tomorrow. The problem with GF is if you slice it too soon it gets gummy inside. I'll try it tomorrow and if it's good, I'll take some to sis from another mom when I see her on Friday.

Glad it got fixed, Chele. i saw today in one county somewhere people with cicadas were calling cops to ask about the siren noise. Wow. Ours are loud every summer, but not that.
The GF bread sounds challenging.
dsil got the trigeminal pain on the plane. and was downed by it all day.
AC cancelled because with 100 degrees, people called for repairs. I explained this needs to get done because I am having surgery..so we do it again Friday.
not much else today.
