Weight Watchers
Hi Deborah,
Thank you for being a dedicated member of our WeightWatchers® community. I wanted to share a message about Workshops—because we hear your feedback. The concerns you raise to your coaches, to our customer service team, and even in the comments section, all make it directly to me. And I take every bit of feedback to heart.
Over the past four years, we’ve had to make several decisions regarding Workshop locations. I recognize that our choices impact you: maybe you had to switch locations, get to know a new coach, or lean on virtual support. These decisions were made to ensure we can continue our mission. Part of that mission is a commitment to building and fostering community.
Workshops and in-person experiences are still a valued part of our program. I visit Workshops regularly and I’m always amazed by members’ warmth, openness, and support for each other. I often hear from members that it’s the only place where they feel truly accepted, where they can be completely honest and get the support and care they deserve. We don’t take that lightly.
Let’s talk about what’s new and what you can expect in the near future:
Coach Group Messages: This new app feature is officially launching in May, so keep an eye out over the next few weeks! You’ll be able to chat with your coach and the other members who attend their in-person Workshops—like a group chat—right in the WeightWatchers app. This will be a more intimate experience than Connect. It’s a way to stay connected beyond your time in the Studio and build an even deeper bond.
New Approach to Weekly Topics: In response to your feedback, we’re improving our curriculum at in-person Workshops. You can expect more discussion, more celebrations, and more real-life honesty around weight health, behavior change, and everything else as you learn to work the program.
Expanded Virtual Workshops: Alongside our standard Weekly Workshops and WeightWatchers 101 sessions, you can also now find:
Community Workshops: Connect with people who get you: Maybe it’s a shared interest in a health condition (Living with Diabetes), life stage (Menopause), or background (Black Women’s Group).
Special Events: Join conversations about self-compassion, troubleshoot roadblocks, or take a dance break.
Medical Weight Loss: Tailored for those taking a GLP-1 medication.
What to Eat: Daily events and community convos to share food finds, kitchen shortcuts, dining out strategies, and more.
I hope you’re as excited about these improvements as we are. We’re dedicated to evolving our business to serve your needs. We’re also dedicated to listening to you: If you don’t have WeightWatchers in your community, and you believe it would benefit from having an in-person experience, click here and let us know. Your suggestions will play a role in future planning efforts.
WeightWatchers was built on community—and it will always be at the heart of what we do.
Thank you again for your support and trust. 💙
